I'm usually a silent watcher, so this is my first comment here. But I saw your uploads and said aloud, "Queen does not disappoint!" 💛👑✨️

I have trans siblings, and yes, the treatment for gender dysphoria is seeking gender affirming care. For some, this is a full transition, for other's it's things like breast removal, or facial feminization surgeries, just to name a few!

Thank you!!! This is pretty much what I thought but am not fully educated!!! also - is gender dysphoria considered a mental disorder/illness? I was trying to look it up and was getting mixed answers!

@@jamie.nelson98 Me personally I don't consider it to be a medical condition b/c that tends to make things more complicated. Usually that rhetoric comes from conservatives to confirm their biases towards trans people. However gender dysphoria is in the updated DSM so technically speaking it is. I just personally don't call it a mental disorder because it tends to further stigmatize trans people. It's a gray area so I guess it's up to personal opinion and is a debated thing in the trans community.

Hopefully my comment cleared up any confusion and didn't make you more confused lol! Sorry if it did, I wasn't really sure how to properly explain it.

I should also mention that not every person experiences gender dysphoria which is another reason why it's controversial to use any trans medicalism logic. Also if you were interested in learning more just type in whatever topic your curious about and reddit then you can grasp a better understanding. That's usually what I do to get different perspectives, it can be quite helpful.

From how I see it personally (not making statements or saying what I think is fact), I feel like it’s safe to say it’s a mental illness to have constant thoughts about something / be extremely uncomfortable in your own body. However, where it differs from other mental illnesses you don’t go on a medications to suppress those thoughts / feelings you go through transitions that make you more comfortable in your body thus making those thoughts go away. But, I totally get what you mean! People definitely weaponize it in that way but that’s not how I think of it at all.
