Oh My God. This episode left me feeling depressed and low. The opportunities these students have in U.S universities are unthinkable for most of our universities here in Uganda and Africa in general. The most outstanding is how the university supports and sponsors their innovations and ideas. The Innovation park where students have exposure to about 20 of the Fortune 500 companies. The internships some students get which lead to getting job contracts even before these students graduate. I'm honestly envious of the education system America has created for their citizens. People studying here are the luckiest people in the world. The opportunities and support are endless.
I know two Ugandan students here at Illinois! So there are Ugandans striving to bring the good parts of our systems to Uganda and professors here eager to help them. Keep in mind that this 'highlight reel' glosses over things that Uganda does better than we do (we are the most hyperindividualistic society on Earth, and many of our problems stem from that). We have a lot to learn from each other.
@@billbusen It's amazing how professors out there make time for their students. You'd think its their only job. I can never understand how a student would fail to graduate with such support at their exposure.
Please There’s anything in illinois for free tuition in university for computer science bachelor in different ways !? For family has income like 75k !

Thank you for this exciting, insightful tour. Although I've been teaching now for the past 35 years, this video makes me want to become a student all over again!
Such an inspiring, informational, and beautifully done video! I found myself getting emotional several times throughout. U of I is very dear to me - some of the best memories of my life happened there. I'm an alum (FAA '96) and now the proud mom of an incoming freshman! I cannot wait to get back to campus!

Hugely disappointed to learn that while other activities were taking place on campus and in the stadium the ROTC program was forced to rent off campus facilities for its commissioning of new officers under the ROTC program. Is hugely disrespectful for those who are dedicating their lives to asure all of us are safe and can enjoy our freedoms. The Chancellor faculty and staff should be ashamed to have been apart of such disrespect. My opinion
