Basically they stole everything from foreign applications and use it for free and made pennies from every user. Without them having a source to steal from, they'd be nothing. This is quite the business model. Piracy. They didn't even pay any licensing or royalties to the original plagiarized developers. They kept stealing ideas and technologies of online payments and voice recognition and messaging so 0 cost of development and can afford to give for free and 100% profit .
So ccp reaped back all the money westerners saved by using them for cheap manufacturing

Interesting discussion. Regardless of whether the company is likely to recover or not, I still wouldn't invest in any Chinese company. You're not really buying equity in the company, because that would be illegal under Chinese law. You're buying a membership in an organization run by a Cayman company owned by Tencent/Nio/Alibaba/etc. In addition, China has shown that they will not allow any private company to get large enough to be a near peer player with the state. To make money on Chinese stocks, you'd have to discover the company very early and get out before it catches the ire of the state, which is almost impossible for Westerners.

Tencent is heavily investing in many foreign video games. The company has many reputable IPs games, and that's a good thing. The reason Tencent investments abroad is to reduce the risks that the CPP would eventually get involved in their day to day business operations and its assets, due to the communist government is targeting video games industry and the excuse is children addiction to video games. It is obvious, it is trying to control the flow of ideas and political videos in the industy. It also noted, the CPP is concern that the citizens would go against them, and its avoiding it by reducing the influence of creativity and IPs on the basis of educational formats for the gamers.

It doesn't help that by using any of Ten Cent products outside China, much of your online meta data (data like your phone number, your home address, your occupation, bank you use, your registration to religious and political groups etc.) gets stored in a CCP giant database in China, accessed at any time by CCP and PLA officials. Ten Cent will deny this, but it's compulsory for any Chinese IT company to allow unfettered data access of any individual (inside or outside China) to government in China. I for one thing, are uncomfortable to allow an oppressive totalitarian government to get copious data on me. It's a violation of my privacy rights as an individual, even worse than the commercial purposes set up by Apple and Google.
