If you could do a demo and walkaround on the Pioner 14 active, that would be great. I am considering getting one for some near shore fishing (with console). I wonder if on what engine would the 14 achieve hull speed with 3 people on board. Do you need the 25 HP?
Hello Laszlo, thank you for your comments. We plan to make a video of a Pioner 14 and all other models not on the channel so far- stay subscribed and we will be with you soon! The Pioner 14 Active is a great boat, for three persons I would recommend the 25HP as this will allow the boats full potential. Which country are you from? Thanks, James
Hello! Can you please tell me the exact dimensions of the gas tank in this boat! Because we have to know which battery we could use for our ePropolsion! And maybe you could tell me the exact height of the box please! Have a nice day and thanks in advance!
The wide console is a good option and you will see on our 'Build a Boat' site that it is well positioned. Currently, we have no videos but we may make one in the future. Do you own a boat? Kind regards, James
The helm needs to be further towards the front. This will help with planning if you are by yourself. I noticed at :59 seconds of the video the boat is no where near being on plane. A gust of wind could make this boat flip very easy.
Hello, thank you for your comments, apologies- I seemed to miss this one. This boat plane's extremely easiesly and has no problem planining with one person on board- this would only be a problem on a much smaller boat with a heavy outboard onboard. I appreciate your concerns but Pioner boats are tested to extreme safety regulations above and beyond the European standards and therefore are highly unlikley to 'flip.' What is your favourite Pioner boat? Kind regards, James
@caley-marina I still stand by my statement because I saw it and your video. I also do not think it will take rough conditions like lake, Erie. Or the great lakes. I'm a fisherman and it's all wrong for fishing
I’ve owned this boat for a few years, the boat is nowhere near on the plane at the point you mention in the video as he’s not carrying enough revs at this point, accelerate rapidly beyond 3200 rpm and it will plane in seconds by yourself and sit there all day. Drop below that the bow does lift as in the video and you’re aswell dropping the revs further. It maxes out at about 29 knots at 5800 but it’s sweet spot for fuel economy (with the 60hp engine) is around 4500 I use it in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, one of the windiest places in the UK and it is extremely stable and can handle some pretty rough seas in a large inland sea loch and on the fringes of the open Atlantic. (Next stop from us is Canada) It does tend to slam in choppy seas but come off the plane, it will handle some pretty heavy swell and wind no problem. I’ve fever once felt in danger of flipping but I tend not to go out if the winds getting above 25 mph or we’ve been subject to some Atlantic Storms the day before and I’m generally no more than a couple of miles out into the open sea. My dad who has fished from boats for years regularly comments about how stable it is and the limitations are generally down to me as I start getting sea sick if fishing in a heavy swell after awhile. In terms of fishing the positions of the helm provide lots of room at the front of the boat aswell as storage for lobster pots and you can fish 5 pots from the boat no problem. The Great Lakes for sure get some rough weather but so do we. It is what it is though a small 16ft boat.
Hi Stephen, thank you for your feedback! We plan to make videos of all Pioner models on this channel over time so stay subscribed and hopefully the Pioner 17 Flexi won’t be too far away! Thanks, James
Pioner are currently in the process of expanding into the US but the moment there is no confirmation of where/when. We have xported boats to the US in the past however, since COVID, shipping has been prohibitively expensive. Where in the US are you based? Kind regards, James
Great video! Please add more videos about the Pioner 16 Explorer if you can :-)
Hi Jonas,
Thank you for your feedback, what further videos would you like to see of the Pioner 16?
Thanks,
James

Hello, I am really sorry but we do not have one in stock at the moment. Have you contacted your local stockist?

Could you do a review of the Pioner 17 Flexi? It looks to be a good diving boat to me, but i cant find any well made reviews of it :)
Hello,
You may have spotted already but we published a video of the Pioner 17 Flexi earlier this year. Have you watched it yet?
Kind regards,
James
Great videos about these great boats. Could you do a review video for the Flexi 17? Very few videos of this model on the internet in general. Thanks!

Hello,
The boats are rated for Category C waters. Where do you plan to use them?
