6:03 *Still* having issues with the new welding gloves ;) Really enjoyed the Fatboy bobber build, and while I have a hard time recalibrating to the sound of a four cylinder bobber, your production quality is now really solid. This is the kind of material I gave up regular cable for. Keep up the great work! Oh, and.... 9:16... masking tape on sheet metal helps to stop the drill bit skating when starting a hole
I really enjoy your videos. My first bike was a 75 kz400. I picked it up for 300. It had a bad cylinder, so I picked up a 76 440 engine and had the heads bored over 30 with custom ground pounder style pipes. Dropped the rear by 2. 16" drag bars put a bigger tank on it and a custom stitched seat. I really miss that bike
The bike is looking good, can't wait to see it finished! I was looking for signal lights for my bike when I saw the ones on the bike who makes those they look great!! Liken the sight gauge too.
Awesome build! Loving every episode! Anybody who wins this bike will and should be proud! Fuel level is something truly old school. I had a Bultaco waaaaay back in the day that had one of these. Just make sure the tube is good quality and fuel resistant. Over time they go a bit yellow but if they are bad they will go white like in about 1 week. I understand that even further back in the day they were made out of glass!!! Figure that on out!
Dude it is great to watch someone with good basic fabrication skills. It makes me want to go out to the garage and work on something. Everything looked great except the tail light I would have make the plate bracket with the tail light bracket integrated into the bottom of the plate mount. The site glass looked awesome!!
looks awesome doing great job love site tub on the tank won't belong and you will be wiring and paint. hope you can run wiring thru the fame to keep it looking clean.
New sub here ! Love the build man sissy bar turned out great. I agree with putting the plate there to makes alot of sense as well as adding the light. Will be putting a sissy bar on my build! Keep the good content coming
Digging the site guage and sissy. I'd make the brake light bracket a little more flush w the angle of the sissy. Learn so much watching ur vids thanks for making them.
Lol as soon as I saw you drilling holes in the side of the tank I thought, fuel level sight tube. I always thought those were bad ass! I think the level you have it is perfect. When it gets to the bottom you know you still have enough to get you to a gas station, provided you aren't in the middle of a desert
I was wondering wth was that tube you drilled in the tank. That sight gauge is cool AF. I’m restoring my 1983 Kawasaki Kz750 H4 LTD and the Paint is pretty nice. I hope to polish it out. I think it will. But if I have to go so far to repaint it, I might just install that gauge.
Hola amigo soy de argentina de corrientes capital. Modifico moto. Ahora estoy armando una bobber. La verdad muy bueno tus videos me encanta. Sigue asi saludos desde argentina
Not a fan of the sissy bars , but to each their own . I'm currently building a similar bike , 79 Suzuki GS750 rat rod bobber . For the fuel level I'm modifying a snowmobile gauge cap to fit in the one side of the stock tank .
I like the fuel sight glass...definitely use a glass tube than the clear hose though. Not so keen on the sissy bar, the light stuck to the top looks a bit awkward.
Just going off the whip it looks like some Millermatic. Looks like a Bernard whip on it. Are you running flux core? MIG welding is pretty easy, his welding there isn't crazy impressive so unless you're using a scrap yard find or something you should be able to tack weld like that
@@mattschultz6356 My friend passed on his Forney Easy Weld 29901. I got flux core wire from Home Depot. Worked better than what came with it. It certainly works but sometimes penetration is lacking and I get tons of spatter and it can have an inconsistent spark
@@peytonsmith1359 Yeah if youre not doing heavy stuff that needs the penetration of flux core Id definitely recommend getting some ER70S6 wire and some 75/25 gas and run it as a straight MIG welder. Far less spatter, don't have to chip away slag, can do much thinner parts... Plus id recommend looking into some UA-cam videos on Mig welding basics so you can tell what you have to adjust when you're looking at your welds. Mig welding is gonna be the easiest type of welding you'll do and the fastest one to learn.
I'm in cali brother. Love watching your videos. I am currently working on 2 Yamaha v stars. Working out of a storage shed being I travel a lot. I was hoping being I'm here in cali I might get the chance to meet ya. Get some ideas for my rebuilds.
if you were making 50 of those that table welded jig makes sense but as a blacksmith that does that A LOT , my god ....i hope no one is paying you by the hour lol
Man why don’t you shut up and keep your thoughts to your self mr badass blacksmith knife maker wannabe he’s out here doing bad ass builds and getting millions of views to what? Your one PowerPoint of shitty picture of your first year blacksmithing ?? He has said before he doesn’t have a fab shop of his own so sit down and shut up and go beat off to Alex steele

Ok, now I'm confused and pissed...why did you mangle such an awesome tank by drilling into it???? site gauge? UGGGGGGH! if you dont remember to fill it before you ride and check your mileage then you shouldn't be riding period... fuel site gage was a bad call for that tank .IMO. You have had some awesome ideas bro but that wasn't one of em...
Yeah you break that vinyl tube and there’s no way to turn off the leak! It’s a fad that young guys think is old school but it’s not. Like a lot of this stuff that’s done now is imaginary new old school. I’m glad this guy came up with the idea of a sissy bar, I wonder if any one else has ever thought of this “rad” idea?????????
How on earth would a vinyl tube just break? _And if it did I could thing of a hundred things to plug it with so i can make it home... Its mucg worse if you run out of gas in the middle of nowhere...

I was just thinking he should of used some tape...especially when u drill hole on painted tins
Better than any tv show. Looking good learning alot .
Sissy bar looks awesome man keep up the good work, Also this series inspired me to purchase a 1981 Honda CB 650 to start a build cheers...
Love the sissy bar man. Awesome with the plate and light.
Finally got my stoopid internet working long enough to watch. Absolutely love the sissy bar. This bike is gonna be freekin awesomeness dripping!!

Thanks for making great little details in my bike. I can't wait to ride it!
Looking good! I dig the fuel level hose. A+
This is coming together so nicely!
Ditch those huge turn signals and go with some nice flush mounts for a cleaner more stripped down look
GREAT PLACE FOR A LP FOR SURE AND THE FUEL SIGHT TUBE IS AWESOME AND LOOKS RAD
Haha! I was like why is he welding to the table top?! Rad method, old school ingenuity.
It will be a wonderful thing continue to work on the beast Choose the best color to complement your work....bro
Heck yes on the sissy bar, diggin' it!

I didn't know if you noticed, but your audio is off on your sponsorship shout outs in the beginning. Thank you for the content.
I like this guy :) A lot of success for you, here in Brazil :)
Exelente trabajo gracias
very nice builds man

Put a little red float ball in the fuel sight gauge...
I like the sissy bar way better then the ugly fender bracket. Good idea 😁
Lookin great!

8:28 Love the light!!! haha
mad skillz! nice!
Very nice sir... Im starting to build... Im just lack of fund... I hope u can give me some advice when builduing frame.. thanks in advance... Chad😁
You aren’t worried about weld spatter on your chain?
I like the fuel sight glass...definitely use a glass tube than the clear hose though. Not so keen on the sissy bar, the light stuck to the top looks a bit awkward.
Touch something hot with your fingers. immediately touch your earlobe and redistribute the heat there.
Sick build!
Chino a que va quedando
What welder do you use? Works way better than my wire-feed.

Just my opinion but that tail light bracket would look alot better welded on
I completely agree, also hidden turn signals
I'm first, good job man keep going
Bien en Español también sería mejor saludos 🏍️😎👍🏽👋🏾
should leave all that steal raw...clear it or let it....yea that's right....rust...

New sub n bell here. This is my second vid of yours to watch...👀
Muy buen trabajo solo que la demás jente noteda el crédito qué te mereces
That site gauge is way to far forward and too high on the tank to get an accurate fuel level.
Why does vanilla ice never reply to comments
superbe projet sais dommage que vous avais installe le truc tous moche a l arrière

richards just mad cause his 2 mums said he's not allowed a bike plus he has his drag time story hour commitments at his local library
Sissy bar SUCKS!!!
go away. don't need that mentality around here. quiet useful for gear on long trips
Brandon Maley you should remove this comment
I liked it way better before, it's a bobber and besides I'm aloud to have an opinion.
Brandon Maley still, you don't have to leave a comment like that on a video like this, if you think sissy bars suck then just don't watch the video
He wants people's opinions, I gave mine, thanks for yours.
