What about Quinn's throwing hand ?

Good question. Sark only mentioned Quinn's abdomen.

They said it was non-contact. But on the play before, the edge/DB came in from the left side and tried to strip the non-existent ball from Quinn and got nothing but Quinn’s abs. Looked like that’s where the injury may have come from.

If so that would have been a muscle contusion not a strain. If it's really a strain it came from the torque on the throw to Helm. Seems like just bad luck.
Besides, these dudes take shots to the midsection all the time. I doubt very much a guy sticking his hand in and getting a punch would have done anything to the level of Quinn leaving the game for good. At most might have knocked his wind out a bit and gave a slight contusion for him to sit out a play or two to get the wind back. At worst.
These guys are supremely trained athletes trained for contact. A punch to the gut isn't knocking Quinn out of a game.
