They were always a six members band and had two lineup changes over the years. Founding members (2010): Sebastian "Sushi" - clean & unclean vocals Kevin - screaming & keyboards Daniel - guitar (& production/programming) Pascal - guitar Daniel - bass guitar (not to be confused with the guitarist of the same name) Michael "Micha" - drums In 2012 Micha left in friendship out of private reasons and current drummer David joined in. In March of 2022, Micha filled in for a live performance of Pump It! on a German TV show while David was on a humanitary mission at the Polish/Ukrainian border. Early in 2020 Sushi left the band to found a new, more serious, project named Ghostkid (which is worth to be checked too) and Nico was casted as the replacement. His former band, To the Rats and Wolves, had departed by the end of 2019 / beginning of 2020 (some other members of TtRaW joined Ghostkid), Dixi Wu, the unclean vocalist of TtRaW appeared (as an actor) in the video of EC's 2015 song Crystals. Guitarist Pascal and his brother Oliver run a videography company which produces EC's videos.
As you can see, they don't take themselves seriously, but they are serious musicians. They are touring in the USA in Oct/Nov this year. Conquer Divide, the all female band they collabed with on FCKBOI, is opening for them.
there are a lot of other versions of hyper hyper by german bands produced by Electric Callboy for example by the band "We Butter The Bread With Butter" sorry my english🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The band uses only schecter guitars. They're from Germany. This version of the group, meaning Neco becoming the clean vocals) has been around since 2020. The rest of the band has been around since like 2010, then they were Known as Eskimo Callboy. The Electric Callboy name change came as a response to them wanting to do Eurovision song contest, sponsors not liking the word Eskimo. There are 6 members: Neco clean/unclean vocals, Kevin unclean vocals/keyboard, Daniel "Danskimo" lead guitar, Pascal guitar and back up vocals, Daniel bass and back up vocals, and David Drums. Now Pascal and his brother film and produce all the videos themselves, the 2 of them own their own video production company.
I so love. LOVE. Love Electric Callboy. 🤣 This is the first song I heard and saw of them right after the Covid lockdown started over here in 2021 (I'm from The Netherlands, so they are my neighbours 😄). Got hooked instantly. All their videos/songs are so amazing and surprising. They're all so different. Please check out Pump it, Spaceman, and the older ones like MC Thunder 1 & 2, and the other versions of Hypa Hypa. Love the one with Saltatio Mortis. Their newest video got out recently: Hurrikan. Looking forward to your upcoming reactions!😃
I left you a HUGE comment full of facts on your 1st EC reaction...let me add to that... Keep an.eye on drummer, David, in their videos...he is inevitably doing something hysterical! When you.get to the lives, this will be noticeable, but just fyi...Kevin, the screamer, clean harmony-sings with Nico's clean vocals, and Nico screams in harmony with Kevin during the screaming parts. In fact, when the band started their headlining tour, Kevin.got sick and missed 5 shows...Nico cartied the entire gigs, singing both parts! Jeff, I'm thinking he was on an Ibanez, but now they are exclusive w Schecter! Dang, I love when you get gear-nerdy! I feel so at home!
YT won't let me edit...so here's an extra... The band is German. I highly recommend pulling up lyrics...partly bc English isn't their 1st language and sometimes their phrasing.is odd. Mostly...the lyrics are freaking hysterical!
I grilled some carne asada for fajitas for dinner last night. They are an interesting band for sure. I like what they are doing, Not a sure I’d call myself a big fan yet. They are German, formed in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy, changing to a more socially correct name earlier this year. There are currently six members in the band. They just came out with a new song, Hurrikan, much of which is in German. Spill the Wine is indeed Eric Burden, but with War, not The Animals. PS, I sent you an email last night with some SkunkPuppet stuff.
More like 90's dance than 90's boybands... They are like an exquisite mix of 90's Happy Hardcore from europe (I am old enough to remember the endless waves of happy hardcore in the 90's at school parties here in The Netherlands) and Metalcore
I know Wolfman likes Live-music. Here i have a pearl for you to check Out: Germany's "Blind Guardian" with "the Bard Song" & "Valhalla", Live @Wacken, 2016 (Link below) I really like to see the reaction from you both ☺️
You need to feed your drummer in the background of you room. He looks very thin and hungry ... :-) Anyway: Electric Callboy are a german band. I am german, too. So: Viele Grüße aus Deutschland!
There is 7 other versions of this song. From a ballad to country music. Just saying :) Love you guys!
Love you too! We’ll listen to them!
@@SueSueandthewolfman Best thing you can do, they are all different but all just great!
