Never noticed until many years later that the date on the license plate during the opening credits always matches the year of the season (and the month of the season opener). So, now you know when each episode came out. Cool.
One of those themes I recall from my childhood, yet never watched the show myself. I'd listen as my parents tuned in, then went off to another room when the intro was over.
I want this L.A.LAW dedicated in memory of stepmother Marie F.Routhier 6-14-1913-3-24-2001.Marie loved watching this show---she loved the theme song & asked me to record it for on cassette tape which I did but unfortunately erased it when I was recoding other things. Here,s your theme Mare!! With LOVE Step-son Mr.Jason A Routhier Baltimore MD.
You can tell me the American Bar Association has recruitment ads like the Armed Forces that have used this theme for the past 20-25 years and I wouldn’t be surprised at all
The Josh Silverberg theme. Josh Silverberg is a character from the classic TV show Murphy Brown. He was the older brother to the sexy Miles Silverberg.
Honestly the only reason I know of this show is because of Animaniacs and their parody of it, "La La Law". "Have you subpoenaed the witness?" "Have I what?" "Subpoenaed! Subpoenaed! Have you subpoenaed the witness?!" "I think not! You should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking about it!"
Probably because the show jumped the shark when Harry Hamlin and Jimmy Smits both left after Season 5. Got worse when Susan Dey after Season 6. That was when I stopped watching L.A. Law after Seasons 5-6.
One of the very best shows of the 1980s.
The 1980s and 1990s was magic for network TV compared to what airs today.

I loved this show! Thursday night was reserved for this.10pm was my time for one of NBC's greatest dramas.
And it aired on the same night as Cheers.

What a cast.
THOSE WERE THE DAYS
I remember watching this show with my mom when I was two months old back in 1986.
I was 1 1/2 when it debuted and I watched every season
No you don't. Nobody remembers anything from when he/she was two months old.
You can tell me the American Bar Association has recruitment ads like the Armed Forces that have used this theme for the past 20-25 years and I wouldn’t be surprised at all
Love thid show
Now I’m starting to think of “The Golden Girls” when Rose pronounced it la law.
"Tell me, Rose, just how close ARE YOU sitting to the TV when you watch 'La Law" 😆
Wait, you’re using Rose as a lawyer?
Susan Dey and Michele Greene were cute.

Preferred watching Knots Landing on the other side however I have to say the theme rocks.
Apparently, Squints from The Sandlot was on LA Law in 1990.

So the fat guy was just there for comic relief?
I stopped watching before the end... I don't remember why.

ITV dropped the show by Season 6, with the last 2 airing on Sky One.
There was the Homer Simpson nonsense in the Season 7 opener.
Although by this point as I mentioned, ITV dropped L.A. Law before the Homer episode aired.
This show almost convinced me to go to law school. How I wish I had.
No ya don’t..most overrated profession ever🌝
Knots was awesome
