I was wondering if you can make a curly or Afro style wig using the curly type yarn that is used for making ruffled scarfs. Again, I know this comment is old, but... Maybe this will help? I rerooted a doll using acrylic yarn that I untwisted but left in the curls that remained in the fiber. Originally it looked a bit like a twist out, and once I brushed it out it turned into a lovely afro-like look!

As a younger women I was a nurse and know how many people, especially young ones, who have asthma and allergies that take very little to set them off. And so often people forget to instruct the folks doing these projects to use common sense safety precautions which can make a big difference to their health in the long run. Very beautiful wig cap. I like the paint brush technique to wet the hair. You have more control over how much water goes into the wig. Very nice.
