Welcome back to LOVEBITES. These ladies are indeed phenomenal and they couldn't have found a better bassist than Fami. She is only 21 years old and is a bundle of energy and talent - just what the band needed.
And they play it to perfection live. As they do with all their music..damn I hope Lovebites expands their US part of tthe tour !!
Definitely check out the live version of Judgement Day, Fami's bass is much more prominent in the mix than in the studio version.
You might be interested in the video in which the new bassist was first introduced to the fan bass. Prior to the release of this video, we didn't know who the new bassist would be, so it was a big event at the time.
Welcome back, here some updates about the band:
Miho left the band in august 2021 for personal reasons. Also Miyako’s baby was born around the same time. And Asami became a mother as well. After a short break LOVEBITES started with auditions for a new bassist in spring 2022 and introduced Fami to the fans in October. A few weeks later the song „Judgement Day“ was released as „christmas present“ 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
Recently their album „Judgement Day“ was voted #15 in best metal albums of the year 2023 by readers of Metal Hammer UK. Also „Stand and deliver“ was voted on #15 for best metal song of the year. What are fantastic results for a still relatively unknown and foreign band. And they will appear at several huge metal festivals this year again, a world tour is just announced.
LOVEBITES finished touring Japan last October. Earlier in March 2023 they played their comeback show, 2 evenings at the same venue. This was their first live gig since 2021 and the very first show with their new bassist Fami. There are 7 videos taken from both shows on their YT channel. I suggest „The Hammer of Wrath“ for a next reaction. It’s the first song of the set and also the first song that their new bassist Fami ever played with them in front of an audience.
Now the band is ready for a world tour. They will play several festivals in Europe and the US and will announce more dates in the near future!
Fami’s nickname is shining fingers. She is an absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique. Her „private“ YT channel has around 700k subscribers.

This version has more views because this version came out a year ago and the live version came out at the end of August. I ALWAYS choose live over studio but in this case I would say it's about a draw. The video is so cool but Live is hard to beat also.
Of course you should do the live version as well. This version may have more views as its been available for a lot longer. Any-who to my knowledge you're the first to mention 'light particles' 😊😊 🤘🤘🤘🤘.
My favorite song ever. And you picked the right one in my opinion. Absolutely react to the live for comparison's sake. I feel the studio version does this song more justice even though they nail it live.

With this song and "Winds of Transylvania ", I disagree. The studio versions are a tad better IMO, making both more full and epic.

All these songs are great, they have no bad, weak or meh songs, and no fillers at all. Every song is special, you could randomly select a song, best life, of course, and LOVEBITES won't disappoint you. They play many different Heavy Metal styles with a certain LOVEBITES sound, they revive the masters of the 80's (and 90's) in a fresh and modern way. LOVEBITES may have the most talented musicians around, all of them S tier. Drummer Haruna is relentless like a metronome, both Miho and Fami master their bass (for Fami's capabilities, you should visit "Alien Alien" from my list, it's in her UA-cam channel will almost 700K subscribers), the dual guitars M&M (for Midori and Miyako) is most certainly the best duo for trading guitar solos and harmonizing, and Asami's voice is stellar with big range, powerful belt and good vibrato. She is also a trained ballerina with exceptional stage presence. One reactor caller her "Stage General", which is perfectly put. Hard, tight, fast, relentless, effortless and clean, that's LOVEBITES. Fasten your seat belt and enjoy your ride!
Always the live version, with Lovebites the studio version is always amazing, but almost all the live versions (except bloodstock) are out of this world , just my opinion , but who am i? Check for yourself😂😂

Slapping, yes, it's the former bassist Miho didn't do and the new bassist Fami is basically a slap bassist. BTW, Lovebites is her first real band. The first band is a world topnotch band, it's a Cinderella story.

In order to play to Fami’s strength (and also her popularity), they will likely incorporate slap bass more on a future album. Given that even Miho now incorporates some slap bass into Chaos Control, when it’s not even her specialty, probably gives some clue to its current popularity as a style.

For me the live version is a little bit better than the original, you can hear more the Slap bass than the original music video, and Midori's arrangments on the chorus and the solo sounds better

On 17 August 2021, LOVEBITES took an extended break after the departure of their leader, bassist Miho.
The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 688,000 UA-cam subscribers.
You will be amazed by new bassist Fami's slapping and fast finger picking. If you watch "Alien Alien" on her UA-cam channel, which was uploaded 4 years ago with 11,070,000 listens on her content, you will be amazed at her world-class slapping skills.
