I straighten my hair once a week and have been for years. My secret is oil treatments and wrapping my hair often. And my hair has consistently grown♥️♥️♥️
I do the same and my hair still growing normal. I do my regimen every week. Shampoo and deep conditioning once a week. Heat protectant is a plus!!! You definitely need that while blow drying and straightening your hair.
It’s just sticking with your regimen and heat protectant spray is a DEF!!! The heat isn’t the enemy at all!!!

I use to have my temp on 410, but recently started keeping it on 370…
My sister went to hair school, and she brought to my attention, the higher the heat, I’m frying my hair. My hair still grew, but now that I lowered the temp it’s so much better. Again, to each it’s own… Everyone hair is different. Do what works for your hair. I’m learning my hair and it works for me.
Some people’s hair actually do better with heat… listen to your hair though. What works for you may not be for the next person. Screw the norms of natural hair… worry about what YOUR hair likes.

@@rosegreenstone7602 heat protectants don’t stop the curls from losing their curl pattern, it all depends on your hair and how much heat it can withstand, I straighten my hair but if I was to do it every week, my hair would be bone straight even with using a heat protectant

I used to straighten my hair every week and never had issues. Stuck to a simple regimen.
I use the Revair weekly. One week I follow up with the hot air brush and braid out. Next week I follow up with the flat iron and braid out. Twice a month flat ironing works well. No damage! Now I can FINALLY enjoy my length!!!💖

Instead of blowing hot air on your curls while you stroke and stroke with a brush, it has a vacuum cleaner hose that you put your hair in and it sucks the water off of your hair with very low heat. $400 but it's the best thing ever. Look for it on Amazon!! It's the best investment you will make in your hair because it will stop the damage if you like to stretch/blow out your hair

Like they say "heat isn't the enemy, lack of knowledge of it is". If you use it properly your hair will be ok.
I straighten every 2 weeks, but I also use Olaplex 0,3,6 & 7, Inkey List PCA, Redken Lamellar water and a protein conditioner, and my hair is just above my bum and still growing

@@ambrosia1917 so I wash every 2 weeks (twice a month). On the first wash day I do Olaplex 0&3 rebonding treatment followed by a deep condition under heat. Then I use my Inkey List PCA & Redken extreme play safe treatment, blow dry, then flat iron (with heat protectant). 2nd wash day is the same, except I don't do an Olaplex treatment or a deep condition, just lamellar water, Inkey List PCA & Redken, blow dry, flat iron. I use Olaplex 6&7 to moisturize just once between wash days

It's not a problem to straighten hair weekly however your stylist MUST be knowledgeable, care & love thier work it will show as it does here great job Janay it's obvious you love beautiful healthy hair.
I agree! I straighten my hair once a week and sometimes once every 2 weeks on 375 degrees and I get regular trims and my hair is nice and healthy.

@@TULIP.1689 I completely agree. But the key is finding someone who knows the difference between a trim and cut. Most people don’t, and they’ll chop all your length off. That’s why I taught my husband how to trim my hair. He trims my hair regularly and I’ve never been happier 😊

There’s no real secret it’s just sticking to a regimen and being consistent, using heat correctly and heat protectant is a must! Using the products that work for your hair also helps less is more

My hair was this thick and beautiful when I was getting straightened atleast twice a month when I stopped and went to no heat, my hair became damaged and broken. It’s crazy how it’s different strokes for different folks. I’m going back to heat effective immediately.

Bi-weekly …. on lower heat (320) with deep conditioning and blow dry on cool only. Wrap nightly
I only do heat once every other month....that's how I finally hit waist length. Goregous results!

If your front hair isn't bone straight olaplex works to bring your curls back. I think it's the number 3 one but here are also yt videos that show how It's done.

If you shampoo, deep condition and moisturize your hair every week, straightening once a week is not a problem
She most likely deep conditions her hair once a week too. Nourish your hair enough to withstand daily styling. Makes sense to me 🤷🏾♀️
she didnt say she styled daily. She could get it pressed and not manipulate it anymore until the next week

Well I jus found out tht on Amazon they have flat irons tht donot give u het damage n I will b purchasing but wen I do flat iron my hair I do have it on a low temp of 300 n 320 along wit heat protectors thts it so I'm protected

I used to be every 2 weeks faithfully at the hairdresser had no problems. Once a month in the summer , humidity = waste of money. Occasionally I do it myself. Pres and curl
