This gets a big ol like. Love this set
Love it too, going to explore ideas on how to combine it and display it with other Dragon Masters sets. All ideas welcome!
This set came with some nice pieces, shame it wasn't available here. (netherlands)
I like the stairs and those printed dragon pieces.
Oh wow! Well like I mentioned, if you have Fire Breathing Fortress, you could build this set as an alternate build! With instructions available online
3:50 I don't care about old farts, geezers who don't like too. I love Dragon Masters same as Black Knights and Royal Knights so much!❤
Please tell me if you know. Why this set was released only in North America, but not in Europe, sad because interesting set. Also same situation with set 1794 Dragon Master Chariot? It was also released in America. By the way maybe you have set 1794 as well and gonna show to us?
Very little is known about that, but it was quite the common thing to have certain Sets only release in North America back in the 90s and you'll find Sets like this in almost every theme. For Western there is Boulder Cliff Canyon, Aquazone had the Aquaraiders Sets, Castle had Sets like this one and the Dark Forest Sets.
My best guess would be that LEGO wanted to save on logistic costs and so intended these sets only for special markets. It could also be that the demand in America was simply different.
At the time LEGO was really trying hard to get their foot into the door oversees in the US, and we would also see many "america inspired" Sets that brandished red-white-blue colour shemes. It certainly is interesting... and makes collecting those exclusive Sets exceptionally hard unfortunately...
Oh wow! Yea I didn't know that about the other lines, except Dark Forest. I didn't know Aquaraiders was North America exclusive! Thanks for the insight!
@@vintagelegos alltough there is one small astorisc to that, as most of these sets were available in a very limited manner over in Europa. I dont know exactly how they were Sold, but for example the Dark Forest Fortress was available over here too, but it was so hard to find that this is largely a formality 😅
Friends of mine do own Set 2160 and remember buying it at Karstadt (a store comparable to Target here in Germany) even though every sourcce saying the set shouldve never shown up at european retailers
@@AClassicBrick Wow! Well, maybe people mail-ordered some of the sets. Or maybe stores did too? on rare occasion? I know my family mail-ordered sets for me for Christmases and birthdays that were hard to find locally!
Best Dragon Masters set IMO.
It is a decent set for the size / value. Not my favorite Dragon Masters set, but I probably won't get rid of it either!
