Charmaine Bingwa star of Emancipation with Will Smith | TBB Talks

Zimbabwean/Australian actress Charmaine Bingwa stars as Dodienne in, Emancipation also starring Will Smith who plays Pete, a slave who flees a plantation in Louisiana after being whipped within an inch of his life. Keeping strong to his faith, we follow Pete's journey to freedom and back to his family as he has to outwit cold-blooded hunters and the unforgiving swamps of Louisiana on a torturous journey north. Charmaine plays Pete's wife and mother of his children.
Charmaine discusses working with Will Smith and telling the harrowing part of our history through this powerful film.
