Well, I followed ALL of your interview instructions. I just received an offer from Capital One yesterday for a pretty lofty position that I only dreamed about having. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I watched all of your videos and took your advice.. I was so over-prepared & impressed them so much, it ended with them saying ‘so are you interested in something higher than the management position you applied for?!’ ..THANK YOU 😊
3x panel interviews Monday… sent individual thank you emails Monday evening.. Tuesday at 3:00 get a TEXT from the SVP saying “this is ______ with ______, can you take a call around 3:00 pm to discuss next steps?”… Verbal offer on the phone.. OFFER IN MY INBOX BY 3:30. Thank YOU! You will never know how much YOU did through these videos to get me there! P.S. This offer really IS my dream job! P.S.S. Heck yea I said yes!
I watched your videos and was able to apply the answers you gave to different questions asked during the interview. Of course the answer ...answered the question they were asking. Went on the interview yesterday morning got a call this morning say I got the job. Thank you for making this interview process easy.
Well, I watched your videos for 4 days straight and it took me outta my comfort zone! But yesterday I killed my interview!! I killed it! They told me I could possibly have one more interview to do, as in my sr. Level role they is typically quite a few. This morning I received a verbal offer and just waiting for the digital offer to be sent over by EOD! No more interviews 🎉 required!! Nailed it!! Could not of killed it without your guidance! I appreciate you. ❤
Your videos changed my life! I always considered myself a poor interviewee and had a history of not being chosen for jobs I was overqualified for. Marketing myself has never been something I have been good at. I recently began looking for new jobs, and while preparing, I started watching your videos. Your videos were a godsend and highlighted what employers/interviewers sought from potential hires. I prepared using the tell me about yourself worksheet and the story box worksheet, answering the interview questions you mentioned in your videos, and implementing your interview etiquette tips (formal dressing, researching the company, asking interview questions, etc.). I had two interviews in one week, was sent offers by both, and could pick between the two. I was able to get into a position in my field (something I have not been able to do before). Thank you 😊
What has also worked for me is putting the ball back in their court by saying, "I'd love to walk you through my resume. Is there anything specific that you would like me to focus on etc?"
I got the job!!! I used the template to make stories for situational questions and it worked. They said they even opened up a position because they were impressed. Thank you so much 🙏🙏
I just had an interview for disney but i onlt had a night to prepare haha so i did my very best even tho it did not happen how i wanted it to lmaoo but i was told im hired. So thank you so much for your videos. They definitely changed how i answered questions
I have no interviews these days or in the near future. I'm just here to listen to you because I love how you explain complicated and crucial things both entertainingly and simply 😊
I am interviewing; but, I tend to agree, with your comment. Madeline, you are so well spoken and easy to listen to. I’m now overthinking and feeling like I won’t have my responses as put-together and so eloquently worded; but, I shall do my best! Thank you for all your advice!
Legit have been stressing over an interview for a fintech firm. Watched your videos over the last couple of days and learned a crazy amount. I finished my interview a half hour ago and Based on feedback by asking key interview questions back to them, I think I landed the job. If not I know it’s because there was a better candidate and not because I didn’t sell myself. Preparation is key. Your technique for answering a question and then asking if they want me to dive deeper or asking what other applicants lacked in an interview worked perfectly. They answered honestly and then told me that that didn’t apply to me. It was a great way to test the temperature.
Madeline! You are amazing and a true God send for me! I have watched so many of your videos to help prepare me for my 1st, 2nd and 3rd interviews. The tips you provided have allowed me to prepare my responses in advance and gave me the confidence I needed to ace my interviews. Your videos: story tool box, tell me about yourself, walk me through your resume and why did you leave your last job, were game changers for me! Even the recommendations to asking thought provoking questions, answering questions as if I'm already in the position, adding sticky notes to my laptop, preparing a cheat sheet and taking notes, were all helpful tools. I have been unemployed since May 28th and I have already received an offer with a total compensation package of 18K over and above my previous role. It's all thanks to you I'm so grateful! 😊🙌🏾
Thank you so much!! I breezed through interviews and got two offers with two amazing companies. One was so impressed they had interviews in three consecutive days and gave me a verbal offer at the end of it. Now it’s all signed and I start in a few weeks!! Your toolbox and ‘about myself’ really were instrumental in my job interviews. Thank you!
I must come here to thank you for your videos. I watched them during my recent interview process and used your technique and I can now say I have gotten the job offer. I am sooo excited to start my new role soon as it's an internal position and but a completely different department from what I'm used to, and my challenge was that I didn't have direct experience for it but I do have the transferable skills for it. I want to change industries so this was a perfect step. I couldn't have done a better job without your coaching and interview techniques! Thank you sooo much again. ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I watched so many of your videos ahead of my interviews! I went from being a teacher last month to a whole different career! I really appreciate all of your tips!
Your channel is a god send. Even watching you is just making me feel more comfortable to being myself in an interview which is translating to confidence. Thank you for not only instilling confidence but allowing me to accept myself as I am in a work environment
This was posted a couple hours after I had an interview that asked this question. I made the mistake of asking whether they wanted chronological or most recent only. They said "let's just hear it all," and I gave the too-long version and definitely lost them. Now I know better for next time and will take more charge of the question lol.
Chronological - My relevant experience is older and I would like to present that information right up front. However, I am going to use your tip on delivering the overall answer concisely in a menu format and asking them what they would like me to dive deeper on. Thank you for your videos!!!
I'm transitioning careers (I hope!) and have been answering this chronologically to explain how my prior experiences prepared me for and led me to what I want to do now. I am glad to see that this approach makes sense!
Madeline thank you so much for your amazing content! I landed my dream job about a month ago and honestly don't think I could have done it without your videos coaching me through. Other interview coach videos seemed as intimidating as the interview itself, but yours made the process fun and to the point! Earlier in the year I wasn't moving past the first round interview. As soon as I started applying your tips, I started to get called back for second rounds, and eventually got that offer. Thanks so much! Wifi high five!
I just wanted to thank you for all the content! Just signed my job offer today and I used a lot of your content to help me through the interviews. Thank you!
I watched a ton of your videos and they really gave me the confidence to be on my A game for my recent interview. I received an offer today and I'm super excited to start my new career! Thank you!!

Is it to soon to reach out to the recruiter, I interviewed on Tuesday and she said she would contact me in a week?? I did email her a thank you letter right after.
This is insightful Madeline. Any tips on how to show positive energy (like you) which doesn't look artificial at all while interviewing & keeps the interviewer engage.

I think chronological makes sense for me as I have a specific storyline that lead me from job a to job b to job c to where I am now and why I am looking for something new.
I found your videos at just the right time! I'd flubbed a few previous doing *all* the wrong things! Ooops. I really wanted this job because I'm tired of treading water. It's a great company and after telling me it would be 3 days, they called me back in 3 hours and made the offer!! I'm stoked, thank you so much for all your advice.
The chronological method will definitely help me since I'm working on a shift in my career choices. The explanations are so golden and really help breakdown how easy it can be to handle a job interview. Thank you
Madeline, I watch most of your videos and I took your advices. I received a job offer from marketing company that I wanted to work for!! I very thankful for what you do, your content is amazing! God bless you!🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌠🌠
I'm attempting to return to a previous career field. So I'll touch on the relevant education and experience first, then talk about recent careers and how they've contributed to skills as a curator. Meanwhile, I am prepared to answer for my original career change (family and raising children) and lack of employment
I have an interview with Geico. On Tuesday this is my third time interviewing with them. I’m hoping this time. It ends with me getting hired. You’re awesome I appreciate you’re videos. I’ll definitely let you know what happens.
I have been watching your videos to prepare for my interviews. Thank you soo much for all your videos, I got an offer from my dream job today!!! Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
“Communicate your passion for the particular role” - I will never be passionate about working. I should get an Oscar for these performances I do at interviews.
I want to thank you for your guidance and information, I am much older, my children are millennials, I sucked at interviews with education and years of experience, thankful, I have now 2 excellent opportunities keep doing what your doing! Wifi high five!
Recruiter tip: Ask for additional context about the role BEFORE walking them through your resume so you know what skills/experiences are important to them
I think it is always better to narrate in a "Chronological order" as the Interviewer can clearly see the development in our career. Should the answer for "Walk me through your resume" and "Tell me about yourself" be similar? Please let us know so that we do not mess up things in future interviews.
Can you please turn your videos into a podcast and put them on Spotify? Please? I use your videos with every student that I help to learn English for interviews. And they always get the job!
You are awesome. Love your examples and explanation regarding each question. This helped me alot in interviews and also was offered a job. Thank you so much for this and please keep doing such videos because it helps so many of us. Much ❤Love. Way to go girl😁
I prefer Reverse Chronological. But, it depends on the person, what job roles they faced earlier in their past, and the role that they are seeking for in the present!
Thank you so much for your tips !! I am really struggling in this area and I think I have blown a few really great opportunities by fumbling here. I have had several interviews and cannot figure out why I cant land one.
I’ve had 2 interviews with 2 different managers, first one I was able to quickly highlight skills I had that pertained to the job. Second one (w both in mtg) asked for reverse chrono (not ideal as I have a lot of jobs listed and some gaps (one being I was a SAHM). He honed in and pushed for more details on an issue that was touched in in my previous interview (he def was well versed in my exp) there was some unethical activity at this particular job (and only 3mo there) the first Mngr had not pushed. The 2nd did. I did not feel comfortable giving details, and kept it as brief as possible. He asked a confirming sentence “So they did xyz?” I nodded. And we moved on. The interview went well overall. I’m was then recommended to a different department but at same level and pay structure. So I have a 3rd interview coming up (not counting the in-house recruiter I spoke with first) So I wasn’t given a choice since the order was spelled out. Last to first. I know integrity is one of the key values of the company, it’s also one of my key values. So I think everything was taken as a positive. But “without getting into the details can you tell me more about what the unethical business practice was?” I gave the shortest reply. I also focused only on 1 specific item- skipped the laundry list.
I had an interview where there were two people and they "ping ponged" questions at me. One would take a position on the resume and ask about ten questions. While the other person took notes. Then the other interviewer would take the next position and ask 10 questions. EEEKKKK!!! It was a beat down. I found out it was based on "The Who Method of hiring". Some of the questions were: 1. What was something you were proud of at XYZ position? 2. What was a low point while working there? 3.What was your bosses name? 4. what would your boss say about you? 5. How would you rate your team? 6. Why did you leave the position? And a few more... They did this for each job on my resume??!!! And it looks like no one has any information out there on how to handle this type of interview as the person being interviewed. So if you have heard of it maybe you can include it in yours. Thanks
If asked, I will answer reverse chronologically as I am seeking a position similar position to the one I am in now, but it will be in a different industry.
Thank You! Thank you! Thank you! This worksheet helped me get my thoughts organized and highlight my very best accomplishments and strengths. I referred back to parts of it during every interview, and not just to answer the "tell. me about yourself" question. Having the worksheet to refer to helped keep me calm and focussed. Oh, and BTW I got the job!
I usually stated job experience from most present and on, however, if it is a career change you are attempting should you mention the jobs that you had earlier in life that show experience that match the skills needed for this current position you are trying to get? With that in mind when should you mention that?
So I have used your methods for a recent 1st bround interview and I made it to the 2nd round interview.! I haven't had my second interview yet but I got an alert from glassdoor that the same position has been posted again. Should I be bummed?
I've always talked about my experiences in reverse chronological order, but I think in the future it might be more helpful for the interviewer if I explain my resume in chronological order. 🤔
Do you have suggestions for handling being cut off by an interviewer? What are ways to transition to a different answer? I was totally unprepared for it, and froze up and lost my train of thought. Then I felt really self conscious and wondered what I did wrong.
As a contractor I usually spend no more than a year, and often just 6 mos. on a job, which is the reality of the field I'm in. What's a good way to walk through that resume and sound accomplished?
Idk where I heard/taught but it's supposed to go Current, Past, Future. How can I utilize my 17+ years of experience as a consultant into a I'm currently in a direct hire role within a company? Do you have any advice on how to advance? I consistently have recruiters reach out from small, middle, and FAANG but I can't get past the loop? Do you have any videos/class/advice?
Well, I followed ALL of your interview instructions. I just received an offer from Capital One yesterday for a pretty lofty position that I only dreamed about having. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Then the other interviewer would take the next position and ask 10 questions. EEEKKKK!!! It was a beat down. I found out it was based on "The Who Method of hiring". Some of the questions were:
Thanks
I was looking for a response...😑
don't work for this type of company! Sounds horrible lol a huge red flag
If asked, I will answer reverse chronologically as I am seeking a position similar position to the one I am in now, but it will be in a different industry.
I Prefer past to present, glazing over the oldest, focusing on the present as most relevant.
I really need subtitle in your video, thank you!
Thank You! Thank you!
This is fantastic advice!
Reverse chrono after I heard you!
I like chronological because it tells a story better
Reverse chronological
7:08 - That all sounds fantastic! But, what if I hadn't done any of that? What if this is my first job interview?
I usually stated job experience from most present and on, however, if it is a career change you are attempting should you mention the jobs that you had earlier in life that show experience that match the skills needed for this current position you are trying to get? With that in mind when should you mention that?
So I have used your methods for a recent 1st bround interview and I made it to the 2nd round interview.! I haven't had my second interview yet but I got an alert from glassdoor that the same position has been posted again. Should I be bummed?
Chronological, career changer
I've always talked about my experiences in reverse chronological order, but I think in the future it might be more helpful for the interviewer if I explain my resume in chronological order. 🤔
Do you have suggestions for handling being cut off by an interviewer? What are ways to transition to a different answer? I was totally unprepared for it, and froze up and lost my train of thought. Then I felt really self conscious and wondered what I did wrong.
As a contractor I usually spend no more than a year, and often just 6 mos. on a job, which is the reality of the field I'm in. What's a good way to walk through that resume and sound accomplished?
Reverse chronological as my total experience is of 19yrs
excellent video,
Idk where I heard/taught but it's supposed to go Current, Past, Future. How can I utilize my 17+ years of experience as a consultant into a I'm currently in a direct hire role within a company? Do you have any advice on how to advance? I consistently have recruiters reach out from small, middle, and FAANG but I can't get past the loop? Do you have any videos/class/advice?
Reverse reverse!
