I think the real crooks are the contractors for not doing this during construction. Great work Tanner!

I spent the last 3 month part time working on my crawlspace. It is one of the most difficult projects I have ever done in my life.

We got that entire drain line dug by 4:01pm today. Started at 8am. I didn't crawl outside that mother f'er for over 5 hours! Then I went back in, and didn't get back out until we finished. That's how Big T does it! Friggin' killin' my damn self! Godamighty!

We will have half of our sub flooring up when doing our French drain this should help the contractor out.
Really glad I watched this so that I can show my contractor this video and tell him to put it into my contract to do my drain this very same way . I bet most contractors don’t dig down beneath the footer for their drains as y’all do. I will watch my contractor like a hawk

Thanks for studying. It will pay off. You will know more than they do.

@@TannerFlowers oh I plan on having them watch this video and agree to doing it the same way. If they refuse I will keep looking for a contractor I refuse to pay twice for the same job

Good for you Tanner. I'm currently hand digging my crawl space because an "expert" came in and actually made our problem worse. How? He put a french drain along ONE wall - the wall between the crawlspace and basement - BUT THE BOTTOM OF HIS TRENCH SITS ABOVE THE FOOTING AND ABOVE THE FLOOR OF THE BASEMENT. He warrantied his work, but of course I can't get a hold of him now. Keep up the good work. Wish you were in middle Tennessee.

question, should this be done outside before water gets into crawl space, or its ok for water to get into crawlspace?

    • @TannerFlowers

Most every project we have ever done, already has outside perimeter drains.

Hey bud I’m fixing to do a project like this myself. How do you determine the location of the sump pump ?

Looks great. You would be floored if I posted the photo I just took under my house from the job my local "big company" did. There is a hole at the bottom of the door that is supposed to block off the encapsulation. It flooded (with no alarm installed, ruined the dehu) and they are calling it an act of God... Insanity. Now they want me to incapsulate the rest of the house. No sir. I can, at 48, do a better job than them. It will be horrific but they get no more of my money. We have no gutters, no exterior perimeter drainage. They sold me a "job" not a solution to flooding. I'm in Jacksonville, FL
