I had a swollen foot once and went to Barnstaple A&E. They didn't know the cause either.

I love South Milton. But my real favourite has to be Bantham. We spent nearly everyday there as kids, summer holidays, why go anywhere else. Love your videos, thank you.

There is certainly something strange afoot with your feet. I hope you recover quickly and are reunited with Eddie and back out on the road soon. I messaged you on instagram a while ago, just to add to that, I must have inadvertantly ordered a brand new LWB Transporter Kombi (6 seats) 150Hp 6 speed manual, 4Motion with all the trimmings. Well, it arrives with the dealer in September! Excited.. Much! Take care. X

I remember this happened to me once after a wee dip in the sea but it affected my wrist. Same rash, same inexplicable swelling, no pain and eventually disappeared. I've often thought did I get stung by something but was too butch to feel it, lol.

Some may have already answered. The issue is sand fleas, horrible little bastards that'll eat up any part of you that's touching the sand. Some beaches are obviously worse than others but unless you see them, you'll find out after they start munching.
I guess I learned that the hard way! 😆

In 2008 I was on lads holiday 2nd day in woke up with a big massive club foot was swollen and very painful couldn’t even touch it went to medical centre hoping like a right bellend I had gout in my foot was on crutches for the week and was in agony

I’ve recently had my foot and ankle swell up for no reason. Never happened before until this last week. I’ve not been on a beach, just had blood tests and they all came back normal. I still don’t know what’s caused it. If you find out what caused yours let us know lol
Oh I hope you’re feet are alright now! Mine recovered pretty sharpish, keeping keep my feet up for very long! Mine was just from the sand or something in the sand, may have stood on something?
Feet are manky, even yours haha. Hope you’re better now and back in the van, adventuring.

I’m not sure, I could have been unfortunate enough to stand on a creature on both feet or from some sort of creepy crawlies in the sand.

Okay Josie never have liked parking my bare feet on sandy beaches for the simple reason, all beaches have Sand Fleas and when walking barefoot, the smell attracts them to you and they secrete a toxic venom you do not feel initially but within 24 hours, your feet will know about it, as yours did. Always when walking in sand , wear a protective layer, like your Brother had the sense to.
As soon as i saw her feet i said it was sand fleas/sand flies. I have had exactly the same, many years ago.
It was so crazy for me, I am often wearing flip flops and take my flip flops off whenever possible for as long as I can remember. I didn’t expect it to be honest, I now can not look at sand the same anymore!

It's probably a reaction to sand fly bites. I'm surprised they didn't prescribe antihistamines. I'm sure you'll be fine.
