Brad Nessler in a tie and Keith is probably only considered a tie by me because I was younger and so many things were better then. But head to head, calling games today, Nessler probably wins.

You could see right from the beginning that Eric Crouch was a special player...but nobody thought he'd eventually wind up winning the Heisman.
Now, contrast that with the Heisman-hype Taylor Martinez got right from the beginning of his career about a decade later, and you see how unpredictable sports success stories can be.

Nebraska did, in effect, win its 1994 Natty using a two quarterback system--although Frazier spent time sidelined with the blood clots.

I love Keith Jackson, but he stole the show during the Vols national title on 1/4/99 for his supposedly “last game” for retirement, only to come back the next season?? Not to mention he voted for Charles Woodson openly for heisman. Love him, but just saying: what’s the ominous for the Vols?

If you guys warch, you'll see after Bobby scored his td, and went to the bench, he's passed and throws his drink down. Cause Grab My said Erics next. Bobby was a horrI'd qb, and Frank knew it, that's why eric won the heisman, and Bob went to the wide receiver position.

@@rickmoreno6858 You misunderstood my statement. Yes, he was given an opportunity to play as a slot receiver not so much as a QB. Give Newcombe credit-he stuck with Solich's system. If he was playing in today's college football climate, he would've transferred if he was benched.

1998. Started out #4. Fell 3 times in the AP and didn't play for a NC.
1999. Started out #5. Fell 3 times in the AP and didn't play for a NC.
2000. Started out #1. Fell 3 times in the AP and didn't play for a NC.
2001. Started out #4. Fell 2 times in the AP and then, LOL, faced Miami.
2003. Started out unranked, got to #10, then, you guessed it, fell 3 times and Neb said, you suck when it matters, BYE!

@mas5867 the s*it started November 30th, 2003 when they fired Solich. Pelini was the best guy since then, bottom line it wasn't Solich, it was the firing that doomed Nebraska because Pederson had no plan and it showed. You don't take 43 days to pick a head coach. There's a reason why you're not an AD, you be fired very quickly

He was 1 step forward 1 step back, I believe his fumbles lost to touch ratio was 11 to 1 at the end of his career, the highest for any player ever at nebraska with more than 100 touches.
