Tengsur Bhu Dhola (part 1)-འཕྲེང་ཟུར་བུ་རྡོ་ལགས་

Tengsur Bhu Dola is an elder Tibetan singer and musician from Dhingri in western Tibet. He sings and plays Dranyen, traditional lute from that region. In Tibet, he was from a well-to-do family. He loved music and dance since he was a young boy. He continued his music in exile. During his residency in Dharamsala, India, he taught his music to the young artists of the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts. He was an executive member of his community organization, Thoepa Kyiduk in Dharamsala. He would lead the community to dance and music during special gathering.
I hope these songs of our elders inspire our younger generation to listen and appreciate our tradition music.
This recording was done in 2013, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
