Magnificent sight anytime, especially in 2024, 15 carriages pulled by steam train ! NZ needs desperately needs passenger rail, 21st Century multi- modal rail transit which should be the norm, inter region, intercity & suburban light rail/ trams. Instead 2024 Govt regressed to outmoded 1950’s motorway madness, a huge mistake.

Always great to see an engine working hard. Definitely agree with that and a shame to see the railways heading the way it is.
