Yang Mi is so good at playing this kind of roles of women whom guys are madly in love with and who themselves also love the guy who loves them but do not want to or do not know how to tell the guy that she loves them back. It might be because she wants to maintain the upper hand in the relationship. But I think it's because the characters she played also didn't know how. I am thinking of "Eternal Love" where she had the male lead head over heels in love with her. But it was only much, much later in the series after he "died" that her character (Qianqian) realized the extent of her love for him and how lacking in affection she had treated him in the past. I think the same is happening with Qin Shi after the divorce. Qin Shi scolded herself as to why she could not simply tell Yang Hua her feelings for him when he asked her. One words from her and he wouldn't have gone through with the divorce (which, I think, was a bit of an overreaction on his part).

I feel for him, he is portrayed as the one with low EQ but she seems to have a lower empathy level. Being very childishly manipulating and blaming him when he tries to step upe even when he honestly says he is not social she pushes himself. treats him like an idiot as he's quiet Not sure who needs the growth more in this drama Enjoying the drama but still it makes me sad hope the end makes me happy 💖

Yanghua actually is ready to propose a ‘real marriage’ (deposit house certificate), but learn that QinShi is using the ‘fake marriage prenup certificate’ as an excuse not to admit that she loves Yanghua. Most probably, qinshi understand if she told yanghua that she loves him, then Yanghua would like to take the relationship to the next level which is a ‘real marriage’ considering how much they love each other. So, we can conclude Qinshi is not ready to answer Yanhua marriage proposal. Why yanghua propose divorce from the ‘fake marriage’? 1) so that the prenup agreement is ended (2) qinshi can no longer hide her true feeling (be it love or not love) under ‘fake marriage’ . Why qinshi approve the divorce easily? Bcs in her heart, qinshi agrees that the fake marriage prenup agreement need to end bcs their relationship is real.

Only that she didn't treat him here with a lack of affection. On the contrary. They had a very nice romantic relationship up to that point.
