    I have two lifted Tundra's and this is the changes I have done to them. Both of them ride better than factory. Since you asked for suggestions. 6 inch lift, King or Fox shocks front and rear, AMP side steps with lights, change all interior lights bulbs to LED, Phone charging tray, console lock box, lockable under rear seat storage, 35 x 12.50 x 20 Toyo ATII tires (quiet tires), Air Lift air bags, LED lights (outside), aftermarket leather seat covers, and most of all (Supercharger) with KN cold air intake. With a supercharger it will increase your HP by 100. It will blow SM new Chevy away. LOL!!!

    Perfect rig. Light bar. Brush guard with winch and led. Bottom leds. Match em up with the boat trailer. Get a nice big waterproof Bluetooth speaker for the family. And tailgating. Throw in some road flares. And always have some type of little tube system for launching fireworks. I have one that fits in ball bitch and angles out and can go into the ground. Lol. And lastly an extra pair of binoculars in truck and a first aid kit with meds. Then your good. Lol. And a self defense product like mace or something. Serious about that.

    I wouldn't lift it or put much bigger tires if any bigger at all. I have a leveling kit on my truck which is nice, but I moved up to a taller tire that is more aggressive and heavier and now it doesn't tow my boat as well. I lost 2 mpg average going to a taller sized tire and my gas mileage already sucked... But it's helped me off road and pull a friend out of some thick mud. But for a strictly towing truck I would get some good all terrains like the Falken Wildpeak AT3w. Thats what I put on my f150 and they're amazing all around. Like I said, I pulled a friend out of some soupy mud that you couldn't even walk on without about falling down. Ended up pulling him about half a mile down a muddy hunting road just as wide as my truck and didn't have one problem. Not to mention he was in one of those old suburbans that are built like tanks. I can assure you probably won't need 4x4 99 percent of the time with that tire. But that is one heck of a truck right there. I really want a tundra sometime.

    Two things is 1) larger gas tank which at the end you said you got. 2) is console safe! About $150 that way you can lock up stuff that gives you a little extra security. When you leave it at ramp or motels. Worth looking into.

    Tires, (Camper shell ✅) rims if the factory don’t match, small lift, get air bags, it will help with keeping the truck level and also to keep the boat trailer level and helps with tire wear!!!

    I'd say air bags in the back to level your truck out when pulling the boat, and maybe some lockable rod tubes on top of the cargo rack. Oh another idea would be some cool LED lights around the inside of the camper shell to light it up in the dark to see what you are looking for.

  • @leeclack1319
    @leeclack1319 3 роки тому

    The exhaust cost about $300 to have installed and you can get the air intake was a little over $200 and took me about 30 minutes to install myself. This helps my fuel mileage a bit and as you know Tundras are not real fuel efficient so it will pay for itself in a couple of months and especially with as much travel as you have to do

    I don't know if the tundra like the Silverado has a forward rake meaning the front bumper is not level with the rear bumper and sits slightly lower. I like four wheel drives to be even front to rear with no rake at all. Therefore on mine I put a 1in lift in my front two level things off. I think it makes the truck look better and I think with the balance front and rear that it actually rides better and drives better. The other thing I would do if I were you is to replace the stock shocks on all four corners. They're good on most trucks but with the loads that you will be carrying having something like blitstein heVy duty shocks will make your ride that much better. And when you go to change your tires when the current original ones run out take a good look at the Toyo Open Country A/T 10 ply tires.

    If you keep the truck at a stock height. I would add some sumo spring to help with the truck squatting from all the gears and weight of the boat. Tundra are good trucks but I know the rear leaf spring on them are soft. Airbag is another option but will effect your articulation travel some. Some things I done to help my fishing is added rear bumper led light pod for at night when I’m reloading my boat so I can see the bump better for loading up. Also helps with backing up in dark ramp area. Hot wire some led light strips into you tundra so you can turn them on without the truck bring on. This helps with grabbing gears from the back of the trucks without flashlight. Good luck on the season and hopefully see you around town sometimes. I live in the same area.

    I dig that color Andrew! Gotta love the new rig smell bro! Thing I don't understand is why so many dudes buy the 4 dr.cab with a 4' to maybe a 6' bed? Why not get the 4dr. with the 8' bed? You can haul more...stack full 4×8 sheets of plywood and what not. IDK? I get it if Toyota doesn't have that option but I've always owned Fords and Gmc trucks with crew cabs and 8' beds.
