We are using the 60ci= 993cc Briggs big block v-twin ,worked heads , small turbo(cost=400$ complete)4340chrome moly forged con rods /JE Forged pistons and installing in a 2007 Harley Electra Glide . Hooks right up to Harley 6 speed transmission. 100hp at rear wheel. Faster and smoother than stock 110ci engine, with more hp and more torque.....You did a great job with your engine build .WHY don't they let race teams use the briggs/kohler stock 60ci engine instead of taking 30ci engine then bore & stroke ? It would be easier and less costly.
What did you do for the crank and flywheel? Are they stock pieces? I used to run and build Jr. Dragsters as a kid (35HP from a 5hp flathead briggs 8,000 RPM) and those motors cost a fortune. Im going to build a mower like yours from the one I just bought and try to drum up interest in the area. Want to start a mower class at the stock car track.
I do have a good question about the motor. Have you had problems with the intek? I heard inteks are cheap and lousy. I understand almost none of the engine is briggs anymore but I want to have a decent platform to build of of. I'm planning on using a vanguard vtwin 16hp because vaguards have better cams and cranks I have heard. I was planning on a new exhaust, billet flywheel, and k&n filter. any suggestions would be appreciated and the engine would be bought used.
So what horse power did it start out being i have a intek 23hp as you can see on my page any ways just wandering bout parts all the rods i have found for it are in lengths not hp so not sure witch ones i need without tearing it apart thanks.
is it a stroker lol i have never seen anything like this before i would love to build one just for the hell of it and whats the cost for a motor build like that.

Youd need a valve float kit . But how is your steering made?
Assuming you swapped the pulleys where did you get the smaller one for the trans and the larger one for the engine?
