My name is Katie. I was raised in Wardle, Lancashire and now live near London.
Share my Stitchery journeys through Patchwork & Quilting, Embroidery, Felting and the wonderful exhibitions I visit throughout the year.
ARNOLD’S ATTIC - Arnold’s family worked in the Lancashire textile mills for generations.
I’m now custodian of the wonderful, vintage textiles & haberdashery found in his attic… a never-ending source of inspiration.

Beautiful! I would have liked to see the back, too. (I know that’s an impossible request.)
I understand. The back of work is always interesting and has the original yarn colours :)
Thank you again for watching and please feel free to share the Needlework Sampler UA-cam.
Can you help me find out about a nice piece I have
Thank you for your comment.
I'm a hand embroiderer myself and enjoy looking at samplers for inspiration, that's where my knowledge ends. You might be find better advice via a textiles museum. Thank you again for watching and please feel free to share the Needlework Sampler UA-cam.
How rich were these girls to have money for fabric and notions to make samplers?
Very wealthy indeed. Some of the pieces were created in charitable educational institutions too.
