I met my wife at a Pollyanna gig, we saw them more times than I can remember. We met Matt Handley a few times, such a humble guy. It's one of life's great tragedies that Pollyanna weren't a huge band, they should have been, Matt was an incredible songwriter.
songwriting genius if there is such a thing! Most amazing sound for a 3 piece. They played at my first ever Australian gig and i loved them before they had even finished their first song. I think Ammonia may have been on the same bill and Tex and The Cruel Sea were the headliners. No other band has managed that. That lineup was exceptional
Amazing, 90's was the greatest musical decade across many genres... Aussie Rock was amazing too... many an amazing Homebake and Pollyanna concerts. Those were the days.
Spiderbait, Magic Dirt, Bodyjar, Tumbleweed, Jebediah, Grinspoon, Silverchair, Pollyanna, Superjesus, the Gurge, Frenzal Rhomb...those were the days 😁🤘
Really good 3 piece with strong sound and presence..criminally underrated and deserved more support.Rumoured to be a reunion tour sometime-will be there if it comes true.
It's a shame my Pollyanna shirt wore out, because it was a favourite. My memory is so bad I can't remember where, but I know I've seen them a quite bit. I think I also saw them when Rayke came back from the US and they did a special gig at the Annandale Hotel. I still sing, "Red light says, you called twice".
Chapman Histology I heard he did some live gigs in Brisbane at toombal after Pollyanna disbanded when their American push did not work out and there where a lot of changes, he no works on and off with tame impala as a guitar tech. Don’t quote me but, if they reformed for a one off I’d sell everything, just saying. Great guitar based melodic rock and an epic decade for Australian music

FlamencoOz The days when you could listen to Triple J all day without getting sick of the music they played.
Incredible song writing. Means a lot to me this tune. Still after all these years

You am I
Cruel Sea
👍👍
One word. Brilliant!
Such a good drummer
I miss my youth! Takes me back!
Jon Hutchins I know. How lucky were we to be a teenager in the 90s and waking up on Saturday mornings to this wonderful show.
Great band with fab people. Really enjoyed my time mixing a bunch of live shows with them.
This band was great, the ultimate three piece unit.
One of my fave '90s bands. I thought they would've been as big as You Am I or even Powderfinger.
If these guys aren’t the most underrated band of the 90’s in Australia I’ll go jump…

Let's hope so. I'd be there

The drummer slays
Thanks!
This performance is SO good! What a great band, I really miss their work. Where are you Matt? We need your music and lyrics!

@@Selendrake74heard he also worked for the living end as guitar tech.

Holy shit man
❤️👌
Classic
Is there any more of these
If this song was released by a band of Nirvana's stature it would've exploded...
Sounds like Eskimo Joe.
