Just getting into succulents the last year! My favorites are white-toned echeveria's (like Lola) and the "windowpane" types of Haworthia like Cooperi and Retusa! I love the "glass-block" look of 'em!
Keep in mind that your aeonium kiwi has a different dormancy period compared to the rest of your echeveria. Aeoniums typically go summer dormant. Their growing season is when the weather gets cooler. Most aeoniums, including the kiwi, are also monocarpic. Meaning they’ll die when they flower. So when your kiwi flowers, you can chop off the rosettes that have flowered. The rest of the plant will survive and produce more offshoots. Try to give your succulents as intense light as possible & more time between watering (water HEAVILY each time) to “stress” them out. This makes their colors more vibrant and pop out more. Great channel! My plant journey started off with outdoor succulents and now I’m transitioning into indoor plants. Your channel’s been full of useful info! 🤙🏽
I'm one of those that think they all look the same, lol. But the love you show for your plants is so sweet I am even happy to watch you talk about something I don't like hahahaha
Yes, succulents can be a bit addictive...i have branched out and started collecting Haworthia...they are a bit more tolerant of the indoors compared to most succulents and cacti....all my echeveria's, jades, etc prefer to be outside and get some morning sun.
I find taking care of succulents quite the challenge. My prayer plants give me less drama lol! I do have an ogre ear and just recently bought a vertical leaf succulet. The purple outline caught my eye.
the Aeonium and a lot of sedum like a little bit of cooler and damper weather. I believe the kiwi aeonium is summer dormant but will turn beautiful colors during summer to protect itself from the harsh sun. They also prefer very rocky and sandy soil. The soil for some of your succulents appear to be a bit black so they are probably too compact, wet, and "organic" for succulents.
I live in tropical country with sun shining 365 days a year and I just start this new hobby a few months ago. I regret not starting this sooner. Thank you for the video
They certainly do like light. I have my collection of around 200 in a greenhouse. They get watered once a week with rainwater from the bottom. Water is tipped into each plant's saucer and any remaining after a few hours is tipped away into a bucket to be used on other plants. Water is never wasted.
I'm a huge fan of succulents (and your channel!) but I've learned thru trial and error I don't have the optimal conditions in most of my house! I've gotten into Haworthia and having success with 2 varieties😊 I do have one Echeveria in my west facing window that's happy, so I'm happy!
Great information, I have about seven succulents, a group of taller ones follow the sun like sunflowers do, so I turn them about every two days to keep them balanced.
I’ve had a Silhouette for years now and never knew what it was called! I have mine in an east window and it has doubled in size and now has pink tips since moving it there. 😊

I love all the varieties of succulents and cactus there are to collect 💞 I don't think I'll ever have everything I want, but coming close to it lol. Love seeing your methods and learning different tricks from you. You never know what your going to pick up from a fellow gardener and that's why I love our community so much! I'm so happy to see more people getting into plants. Let's spread the word about the beauty that lies within each variety out there! Gorgeous, stunning and magnificent I say😍
They can take quite a bit of sun (may need a slow adaptation to not get a sunburn); check for water needs every few days until you get used to them. I live in the desert and have some that get East sun ~5 hours; a few that get ~1 1/2 hours early afternoon, West sun: They are doing well. My jade goes outside on the east side when nights stay 55* and stay out until winter, unless it gets scorching hot. Just playing with how long my desert roses can stay outside; I previously kept them inside.
Please give this video a thumbs up, comment or share with your family and friends. It really helps the video and my channel out. As always, I appreciate you all. ❤️
