Matilda the musical has a special place in my heart, it was the first show I’ve ever done and I still always look back on it after nearly four years. This musical is so excellent and I hope it continues to please audiences for years to come!
Thats kinda the purpose of the song, its meant to be that song that really makes you emotional during the performance. Kinda like the 3rd run of Marylin Monroe in blood brothers when Mickey is in prison. It even makes you well up performing it.
I am so exited, saw it in Perth and fell in love with it. I am hopefully going to see it when I go to London to see my family!! Tears of joy fill up when ever I hear the music. Kids bully me about listening to this but I don't care.
I know a Matilda from a few casts ago and they shared live performances, she got to do west end live and a tv show and the other girls got their own live bits. It all seemed very fair, also depends on who is due to be on/standby at the theatre as they could only do 3 performances a week. (This may have changed as it was a couple of years ago)

I really like Bruce and Revolting Children I prefer Revolting Children because they are trying to get rid of the Trunchbull and they are revolting and I really would like to act in this musical it was amazing 🤩
Is this cast older than the old ones? They look a tad older and sound it (I will note that I am aware the end matildas are the ones from the first cast)
Maybe they are the children they picked for 2020? But due to the pandemic they have no show. But I think some of the children are too big for the cast, they are not even having the child’ voice. So I think that’s a bit weird
@@carinalaw5132 I mean maybe they’re trying to work on hiring older kids in order to not overwork younger people I don’t know I’m intrigued as to their reason but the cast from 2020 one makes sense
When they had the 4 Matildas come out, they should've had the current Matildas from that time, Alyssa D'Souza, Alex Munden, and Imogen Cole, with Zoe Simon. I like Cleo Demetriou, Soohia Kiely, Eleanor Worthington-Cox, and Kerry Ingram in it, but they just need to do what they have been doing, just having the current Matildas every year.
@@hooniehaem The musical started at the RSC in Stratford in 2010. They maybe the first London Matildas, but they’re not the originals (apart from Kerry)
@@MattyTowcester mhm you are correct. but why would they use those matildas when they have nothing to do with this anniversary? lmao you do realize this is the 10th anniversary celebration for the matilda the musical in the WEST END. the ones from statford have nothing to do with this anniversary as they didnt play in the west end. the 4 matildas in this performance are the original west end matildas, so they are the first and thats why they are in this performance and the ones from statford are not.
They uploaded it for entertainment purposes. So if they would've put the original owner of the video in the video description, then it would all be fine.
The matikdas are amazing but I don't understand why all the matildas b Put on a overally posh accent they don't sound right there own accent would have been better. I saw tye show when they toured and came to Blackpool and she put on a accent on so much you couldn't understand what she was saying. It's no relevance to the story so don't get why they are made to do it
No offence at all but when the kids sing there own solo line (1:12 - 1:26) it sounds just alot worse and different to how all the other shows are (or is it just me?) espicwlly “draw rude pictures on the board” and “ it’s not insulting”
They actually sound good. There the West End cast, not Broadway cast, and they are supposed to sound like that because most of the cast are from London.

nothing wrong this matilda, she's great but I wonder how she managed to get so lucky and do all the external performances over the other matildas
