We had one of these where I worked in the early 90s . Was servicing it for a hospital. They wanted it to be at hi idle in 8 seconds . When it came on line it was like nothing I’d ever heard before . This video just gives you a taste of what this engine is like.
Hmmmmm it's V16 having inline fuel injection pump group as I removed once in 90s on industrial engine. I had to rebuilt Caterpillar D346 V8 (39J0244) industrial engine including crankshaft grinding job in 2000 along my beloved and skilled father (late) who had 32 years experience in Caterpillar diesel engines and construction machines hydraulic transmission jobs. He had great passion in troubleshooting of hydraulic and transmission converter jobs. I have had also hands on work experience on Caterpillar D348 V12 diesel engine. I like it's overhead twin cam arrangement and click type valve clearance setting even could without feeler gauge by counting clicks 😎🇵🇰😉🇱🇷🚩🎓
