This has been the most extensive explanation of the backswing, not many golf teachers explain like this, you are a great teacher.
Michele - I’m an amputee golfer where I lost my left forearm in a childhood accident. This is the first golf instruction video regarding right arm / wrist positioning that was so very clear. I have some inconsistencies in my swing as I never received formal lessons, and I can use what I just saw/ learned from this video right away. Thank you so much for your very clear instructions!
You are amazing...thank you😮
@@MrTawito Thank you. Really enjoying the game and able to keep things competitive with my able bodied golf friends!
Why don't try england football
Michele you are the best golf instructor. So detailed information in an easy to understand manner... Awesome!
Your explanation of wrist hinge and forearm takeaway beginning at 5:20 is exactly what I've needed! What a great instructor you are, Michelle! Your driver swing videos (beautiful!) caught my eye and I've found so many valuable videos on your channel. Thanks you!
Most success I have had on tne journey to fix my inconsistent Iron swing. Thank you so much Michelle.
Best explanation of the trail arm I've seen yet.
You really deliver the drills...straight to the point...thanks Micelle !!
Agreed. Michele is a very good golf instructor. Very clear and makes thing easier to follow.
Michele, Thank you for this outstanding explanation on the proper location of the "Trail Elbow.' Keep up the great work. Much appreciated. 😎⛹️♀️🚴♂️🤸♂️
I have watched many of ur fine videos. The two on the trailing elbow have been especially on target for me. They helped me see my problem, and you proved clear, simple ways to fix it. Thanks so very much, Michele! I appreciate your instruction very much!!

Michelle is the perfect teacher, clear and lots of slow motion. Thank you❤
Really good instruction. What you do really appeals to me. Crystal clear and expertly delivered. Thanks for putting these videos out.
This video was key to finally fixing all of my issues. None of my coaches ever told me what is the proper way to hinge and the positioning of the right elbow. I get good solid contact every time now and swing smooth and easy. Wish you could be my coach from the start. Wasted many months and money doing everything wrong.
Michele, superb video….. your graph angles really has helped me……thank you
You are a golf swing guru! You break things down to the most detailed parts. Your drills are so relevant to what's being addressed in the videos. Thank you so much for providing these videos..I have seen a big difference already in the way I'm striking the golf ball.
I appreciate that!
Let me be the first to congratulate you on 100k subscribers (almost there)! Very well deserved Michelle…
hands by right heal - I was missing this - thank you!
Outstanding right elbow instruction. Can't wait for Part 2.
I really like how you explain what to do and why to do it aswel as what not to do and why.
I love how you show the common mistakes as well. So many terms like casting and over the top but now it all makes sense. Thanks.
Amazing tip. After watching this played two 9 holes round scored 42 and 41 after applying the new learning. Thank you Michelle for the great tips.
I agree with previous comments
I’m nearly 60 and it longer and better than many others but I’ve never had consistency in my game.
This may sound crazy but the that you specifically sequence…
1) take away
2)bend right wrist to parallel, and
3)bend right elbow
Like the previous comment I read..
No other teachers have ever broken down the backswing into such an easy and simple way to describe the backswing.
It’s interesting because the backswing, is the most difficult think to understand in golf and you explained it way better than any of the other online teachers on line.
There is no doubt that’s the greatest explanation of the backswing that I’ve ever seen. I’ve always wondered when to begin to cock wrists and how much wrist cock is needed and I always knew it was minimal.
WITHOUT ANY DOUBT THIS IS THE BEST EXPLANATION OF THE PROPER SEQUENCE OF THE BACKSWING EVER!!!!
Can’t wait to practice this…
Thank you Michelle!!!!
This is really great, Michele. Thanks!
Again, you’re a great teacher, you address the most elemental aspects of a very difficult sport
By far the best golf instructor on you tube - terrific content - subscribed - thanks Michelle!!
As usual, great simple explanations and super delivery 👍
Excellent way of covering all the body parts used in golf swing !!!
Excellent thank you. This explains a lot. Thanks again.
Thank you....this fixed me and answered all my questions I had in the last three years I never got answered from random instructors . You are the best !!
Another epic from our valued teacher. Hope the family all doing well. All the 👌 best and welcome back
Brilliant, down to earth instruction as usual

Thanks for doing videos again, I practice your teaching after each video and I'm getting better.
Next time I come Asia, which was annually until COVID, I’d like to come kl for a week of daily lessons, you’re the best!
Phenomenal explanation. Thank you!
Blessings to you!
The first ten seconds of the vídeo were enough to know how good it would be.... And it was great!
I played with this instruction on Sunday. It really worked well with several powerful shots with a slight draw. I struggled at times blending my body rotation and poor contact with wedges. Overall very remarkable outcome which I will continue to practice and refine. Thank you.
Great explanation Michele
Very professionally presented vid. The key is using a mirror or vid to check off the points you highlighted.
Great lessons and very easy to follow . Love all the detail
This is gold. Thank you!

Very informative and helpful 👍. Well broken for us trying to learn this very complex game . One more piece of the puzzle
thank you coach Michele, watching your videos made me realize I've done wrong setup with my left wrist resulting in severe ball slices
Number three drill is similar to your shallowing the club drill you showed before.well explained.
Two good points on the wrist hinge, working on this right now after a lesson. Seeing it on video is key to figuring it out.
Great stuff Michele

Hi Michele, great explanation. I checked this on some of my videos and I'd say my elbow is perfect but my club is really laid off.
Thanks!
excellent drills Gracias
This is nice. Really nice
Thank you very very good 👍
Good reminders on check points. Almost at 100k followers!
Good drills, right elbow is definitely one of my problems.
Awesome…Thanks….So my question is when u follow through to hit the ball, are you pulling the club down with ur lead hand, trailing hand or are u using both hands to pull down club to hit ball?
Hello Michelle,
I love your videos and have been using them to teach my 8 year old daughter. I do have a question: What video app can you recommend to use for swing analysis? I like what you use on this video. Ty!
Very detailed and straightforward. Thank you. Does this applied also in driver?
Yes it does
👍❤️
where is the right elbow position at the top ? is always my question !!! thank you !!!!
👍🏻
0:04 that's Rey's stance from Star Wars!!
I find that my grip makes a huge difference to where the right arm goes. When I place my club in the fingers of the right hand, my elbow isn’t close my body. This is just like you. So I naturally bring club across the line. Letting this happen has helped me add 20-30yds. I used to have stronger right hand grip which made it very hard.
Never thought of this. Makes sense. Def working on a weaker right hand grip next range session.
How does one get the club face on the back of the ball.

was wondeing why you are not on the lpga tour Ms Low?
Let me ask a question, Backswing with the driver, should we close our armpits? thanks!
Thanks michele, may i ask when backswing. What dominant right hand to pull out or left hand to push out?
Try doing backswing slowly with lead arm only and hold at top ensuring elbow isnt bent. Check in mirror or vid whilst gripping with trail hand, where the elbow is. Dont think of arms but hips tilt. Its the trail arm that causes the lead arm to bend.
Ive been playing for 3 years and still use drills to ensure Im using my hips and not arms, partic when frustrated or tired.
Good luck..
When Did you start playing golf ???
Can you so a video of how to swing but for someone like me with a bad back and can't quite get full rotation just a way to hit straight I'm left handed hitting a fade
Most ppl hit fades as its easier. You have to change set up for draw. Look at John Rahm, he has a very short backswing due to medical reasons, but he uses his hips well.
I do lots of back and glute stretches to help my back however if you are excessively twisting and not tilting it may be the problem.
@@midlifebiker7424 I have a natural fade it's a nice slight fade which works well and for my back I actually use a shorter but punching back swing which allows me to not twist as much which my mate who is a golf pro just showed me today I ended up hitting a PB 3 wood 240 yards the 123 method works really well allowing for a nice flowing timing
6:44 I am going to embed this drill on a chip in my Brain!
Where is this driving range located?

Look the right elbow of Fred couple....
Love ylur videos. Very simple, my issue is i prefer a strong grip, but if i look at myself on video, when i get to the top, im way shut (club face flat at the sky) , i can kinda correct it, by cupping my wrist, but i heard this is not good., but i have less hard pulls and i feel like i get better contact. So is this bad, to be a little cupped at the top with a strong grip? I have to have a really weak grip to keep the wrist flat and be square at the top and i end up way open at impact if indont roll it shut on the way around, and it juat feels yucky. I dont want to make a swing chmge unless im sure its a good one. Im slightly cupped in video and its still slightly closed

You were right the first time with trail arm. It's not the right arm. Us lefties like it when you keep it universal.

At the hinge, 90% of amateurs get this wrong.
Looks
Like a dance routine. Ugh

Hi Michelle I have a question does the flexibility of the shaft makes any difference
Trick question??
No difference. .
Amateurs have so much more arm movements than pros it seems. My take away looks longer hers is to her leg then fold elbow? I feel like I push away the club for to long maybe that’s why I’m so disconnected?
You are right, ameteur's use arms whereas pros use core, glutes, calves and wrists. Its takes a long time with constant monitoring to get all aligned..aa timing is key.
