I am a 77 year old soul who remembers when this song was popular. Enjoy the beauty of this song and the group who sang it. The souls who created it are gone to their heavenly reward. Enjoy the beauty of the song. I can listen to this song all the time via the internet and youtube. Back in the day it was on a 45 rpm record. The Drifters made many song but this is one of their best.

It's still popular bud, I play it in the bar I frequent and everyone knows it. I play alot of the oldies and I dont get any complaints, perhaps once in a blue moon.

This song defines life and love. I close my eyes and remember my younger years where my parents, brothers, and I would sit together and simply enjoy the simpler things in life; board games, walks, spending time in the yard with my dad and friends while mom made us dinner. A dinner that was passed down by grandmother, grandma would set the plates and feed us as kids with her own hands! I miss those days, I will always cherish seeing those smiles when there were no worries because your family had each other. I truly miss those days! I wish to live them again, god bless everyone that reads this. ❤

"Michael "Squints" Palledorous walked a little taller that day.
We had to tip our hats to him. He was lucky she hadn't beat the crap out of him. We wouldn't have blamed her. What he'd done was sneaky, rotten and low... and cool. Not another one among us would've ever in a million years...even for a million dollars had the guts to put the move on the lifeguard. He did. I would be very upset at him for getting us all banned from the pool, treating me badly, and the lies he told about Mr. Mertle to keep me from going to him to get my stepdad’s ball back. I would probably also tell his parents what he did and hopefully he would be punished to learn a lesson.

I don't fully agree with you. Even though now days music is trash, you still have to give credit to them for coming up with something with the beat. As for machines, it isn't the machines that make the music, people need talent to make music on software, such as music theory. I do think voice alterations suck, but the only thing I disagree with is the machines, 1950-1990 is the best years to me, but you still need to realize that people need talent to make music (still)

@Greg C lol not every musician buys the lyrics/beats. people such as: wstdyth, Days to waste, Sinxi, and a few other make their own beats, and make their own lyrics. and outside of that specific genre, you could go to Djs such as Cloudnone, Roy Knox, Teminite (which plays saxophone, keyboard, and makes his own "beats") so that's just a few of people who do have talent to make their own stuff. there are some people who pay for beats and lyrics now days, but not every musician

As TEENAGER WHEN THIS SONG CAME ON THE RADIO IT WAS ONE OF THE (FIRST) SONGS TO USE STRINGS IN POP OR R& B TUNES. RESPECT TO THE DRIFTERS. 💘

What happened to these sweet words that seem to have disappeared from our vocabularies, from our thoughts and from our very beings? Such a loss, because we no longer share these words, or offer the feelings behind these magic emotions with others. It is a loss to lose the “twinkle” that once gave our lives meaning. We are the rare few whose hearts still skip a beat when we can go back through this music to the best times and the best inside ourselves.

“Forever till the end of time-“ that line just makes me go blank, it’s probably my very shi*ty childhood only comforted by good friends I still have, but it makes me realize, my family never cared, they would abandon me the first chance they get, while my friends HAVE stayed with me all this time.

One of the best melodies in history should have 3 billion views, not 3 million...
