One of the all-time best cartoon villians - the concept is brilliant. I like to imagine deeper meanings ("beware of pin"(pin=sin) or "so you're not afraid of pins, eh?" pin=PIN, IDtheft inflation monetary ego etc) But truly He has joy in his popping people. He needs to meet/make a pincushion woman in the sequel, and they'll live happily ever after reigning terror upon balloon people everywhere preferrably w/ a machine gun that shoots cyanide tipped bullets - like Bart's spozda get when he's 18.

I recently got this silent 8mm version of this cartoon in the mail and they are in black & white, but the bad news is, that it's not a Castle Films print, it was from another distributor called Whimsleyland which was a black market distributor who put out a version of this cartoon and the problem with this version is that there was no subtitles or explanatory titles at all, nothing. And also, the Castle Films logo was gone from the 8mm version including the end title which was replaced by a bootleg end title with a sunset in the background. I hate when bootleg distributors released an 8mm version of this cartoon. It was a waste of time. I will make a video of this and I'll put that up on UA-cam soon.
This Castle Films print of this nostalgic ComiColor is definitely getting harder to find, especially on the internet. Most of the prints of this cartoon are restored with their original ComiColor titles. Despite the blurry image and faded color, this'll very likely become a rare print. Forever I have been searching for an NAT print of the cartoon " The Little Dutch Mill", and I couldn't find a copy of it on the internet, though a DVD on eBay has it.
I saw this on eBay is the silent 16mm version which it says "Headline Edition". There's also a "Complete Edition" on 8mm is very hard to find. If eBay or Etsy didn't have a copy, I decided to do the same exact cartoon with re-constructed imposed title cards like they did in the silent home movie days. I did put some stuff of there, and I will be sharing that soon on "Castle Films" YT channel.
