I swear the moment his character dies is the exact moment he realises he loves Jane! I can’t believe how long it took for me to watch this movie!

Yes!! He realizes what he said was actually true and that he said it out loud and couldn’t take it back! Also Jane Seymour’s character (Henry’s aunt) saw him offroading and was like “wait he loves her!” I wish Jane had had time to realize what just happened before Jennifer Coolidge was hissing at him backstage trying to give him bis lines (which was hilarious but unfortunate)
