Why cover her face? If she doesn’t feel shame to steal people’s luggage! Airport should post their photos at the luggage pick up area and I am sure they would not steal again!! 😂😂
Airports need to stop allowing access to the baggage claim area for those with no legitimate reason to be there. Air tags will not stop someone from taking your luggage so that's pointless. You might find your luggage after they took everything so pointless. It's simple; just remove public access to the baggage claim area and that will reduce the volume of theft. You know these criminals are coming in from the street.
You are correct, Air Tags don’t help with stolen luggage, but if you have one in your suitcase (and they’re easy to hide), you can possibly track where they have wandered to. A friend of mine had one in her bag, arrived in NJ from Paris, was connecting to Seattle. Checked her air tag and noticed the bag was wandering outside of Newark in a neighborhood. A few days later, someone found the bag outside of NJ, although things had been stolen from it. She was able to get some of her belongings back.
Too many people though it would be hard to ask all them their reason for being there as people could come there for reasons like picking someone up. God bless everyone.
@@TravelDaIslandsThey can wait somewhere near the carousel area but not have access to it would probably be the best way of resolving that issue. A waiting area should be created.
@@juniesco Similiar to how it is in my country (The Bahamas). There is a waiting area but the general public cannot come to the baggage claim. God bless you.
We need to reach out to our local governments to demand baggage claim be locked down and make the airport liable for the theft. Also, demand that the FAA do something.
If ppl are paying $30 to get their backs checked. They should have a sort of scanner that once your at the gate you can scan your tag to your luggage and it be allowed to come off and also check the status if your bag may have become lost or delayed or just needs to wait.
They really should just make the baggage carousel part of the interior part of the airport. Part of the secured zone. If I remember correctly, on international flights, usually you pick up the suitcase before leaving the secured zone. I understand that is due to customs, but we should implement the same thing for domestic flights.
Everyone thinks that AirTags will be the answer to stolen luggage. All it will do is notify the owner when the stolen luggage leaves the location and confirming that the luggage is stolen. The video shows that the luggage was already loaded into a car and driven away. Who can the owner get to follow the stolen luggage? From the sound of things, the airline and the airport wont do anything because neither is acknowledging responsibility. I doubt the police will do anything because the crime is likely a misdemeanor. The lawmakers need to force the airlines and airport to put in some security measures to prevent the thefts from happening.
It happened to my parents but not sure if intentional. The person didn’t check the name on the tag and took my parent’s luggage. They did have to get airport workers to help out as the person was sitting the luggage while just on the phone the entire time. The person’s real luggage was still at the baggage claim area. It all worked out once my parents got their luggage but their friends had to wait for them.
I mean it's not that hard to get to the carousel before the luggage, even more so when you have multiple people in your party. I always end up having to wait for the suitcases to start showing up.
Air tags/Tiles are a good way of showing where the bag travels. You need to hide it well. Also, layer up the security by using the locks and locking straps. However, the best way to avoid is to get to the carousel immediately. I understand there was a medical issue. But to reduce the risk, get there and grab your bag immediately. Dont bring anything of real value. Take valuables with you in your personal bag.
Goodness me, since clicking on various American stations to watch the tornadoes, It really is an eye opener that so much crime and death happens daily everywhere there!
Stop blaming other people. You should take responsibility for your luggage by not checking your bags and keeping them as carry on only. Lesson learned.
A very long time ago…people had to show their luggage ticket when leaving the airport…
I remember those days

Totally true. Baggage claim should be before exit to the main airport area.

Why block their faces?
Years ago, airlines checked your bag before you got out the door, you had to show ID with name matching the luggage tag.
In Japan, you have to match your baggage claim tickets to your luggage before you leave the airport. (It is only informal and not strictly enforced.)
I don't think so. It is not strictly enforced & I have been there a few times last year!

Luggage being stolen should never happen.
Criminals need to be held accountable or excluded from public venues other than prison venues.
In Mexico's airports, they have security asking for your ticket info to be able to get your luggage.
Charlotte airport must be avoided at all cost. It beyond chaotic, It is out of control.
Please pay this guy more so he can stop shopping in the children's dept. This fit is so unprofessional it's hard to watch this story.
