that was lovely, i remember seeing the sax player play this with Hazel at Loughborough Uni in the 80's. the audience covered him in crazy spray string but he carried on playing, nailed it, i'll never forget that. what a solo.

Nicely done , I stopped playing my alto after a family loss and haven’t felt like making music for some years . This solo was the reason I started playing sax and you done a great job there .

Combien d’années de saxophone pour jouer ceci ?

Bonjour Raphaël 😊
1) si tu te mets à apprendre le sax aujourd'hui, que tu joues continuellement TOUS LES JOURS (en solo et en groupe), pour t'entrainer, pour improviser, pour travailler ta dextérité, monter et descendre tes gammes, que tu écoutes de la musique, en jouant par dessus, pour développer ton oreille, ton jeu, ton phrasé, ton son et ton talent : il te faut minimum 3 ans (j'ai bien dit TOUS LES JOURS sans arrêt pendant 3 ans)
2) Perso, j'ai 50 ans : j'ai commencé à apprendre le sax à l'âge de 11ans, j'ai étudié le sax alto pendant 10 ans au Conservatoire de NICE (1983 à 1993), j' au toujours joué régulièrement depuis... => j'ai donc environ 40 ans de pratique... ça te laisse analyser 😉
C'est comme tout : le travail paye, quand on a la motivation et qu'on y met tous les moyens 😁
