You sir,are a phenomenon. I have a severe disability in my left foot. You inspired me to push through it and stop feeling sorry for myself. THANK YOU!!!
While I was farm raised I left the old man as soon as I was old enough. I still liked a lot about the farm and machinery. I also was not a mechanic. As a Union Driver I always kept a dime in my tool box . So I never learned much about fixing any thing.Been retired for 12 years and now too old to get into restoring old Tractors. But I will keep a eye on you and this job. i still go to a few Tractor shows. I love your videos. I am past 80 years old now so I gotta get ready to go play the harp some one of these days. If ever in Ohio I will drive by your farm. Might not stop as I wouldn't want to bother a busy man. Thanks. . Jack .. the Old Scovy.
Thanks for watching Jack. Just send me an email and let me know if you do ever come to Ohio, we will set something up
Thank you sir for your kind offer. I used to go threw your part of Ohio a lot. I pulled a tanker all my life and I loaded soybean oil out of the plant in Sidney Oh. and in Bel view Oh. and Central Soya in Decatur In. but mostly the last 20 years I hauled liquid chocolate to all places from East to the West coast. Was a great job and a great Company to work for. . I would really like to see your farms if only to drive by them. If going to Ohio I will contact you but i would not want to be a bother. Sorry to hear that Tri Greens is closing. I used to stop there and Yoder and Fry in Archibald Oh. Had to lay over some place. . Jack . Old Scovy.
"I am not a mechanic" Andy you are right. You are not a mechanic. You are something much more important. You are an inspiration!
Thanks for watching Tim
I hope heartedly agree with Tim sleeths comment, andy you are an inspiration, to myself especially,I have hip dysplasia in both hips ,two prolapsed discs and osteoarthritis for which I have regular cortisone injections in my hands elbows ,wrists and thumb joints also have cortisone shots into my spine .
I live in pain everyday some more than others ,
Sometimes I let it get to me to the point where I just don't want to carry on ,but then I found your channel , when I saw how you refused to let the fact that you had no arms stop you from doing the things that you love to do ,it did nothing but amaze me and inspire me to not let my illness of 21 years steal any more from me ,so I do as much as I can ,I go fishing a lot more ,I make sure I do at least one job a day , wether it be cleaning my home or sheds,or cut the grass ,I think of you and force myself to get up off my butt and do something,
YOU ARE AN AMAZING MAN ,
I hope you see this long comment ( apologies for that)as you do so inspire me to keep going ,THANK YOU
ALL THE BEST MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND AGAIN THANK YOU ,

You gotta love a daughter who helps her daddy work on a tractor. Kind of rare I'm thinkin'.
Kylie can do just about anything. Im so blessed to have her. Thanks for watching
You are absolutely amazing I just so happen to come across one of your videos man I pray for your whole family everyday brother! From one farmer to another love you guys!
silent1967 very true, nowadays they’re scared to get greasy and more worried about what tweets they need to share.
@@HarmlessFarmerAndyDetwiler Kylie workin' hard in the shop and with perfectly painted fingernails. Thank you dear daughter. Good luck folks.
Great video great helper Kylie and Andy
I've never seen your videos until this one today. I'm a master tech and I am absolutely amazed by your abilities and i am not kidding. I cannot believe the fine motor skills you have with your toes and feet, you are an inspiration to me man. It was like watching someone wrench with their hands. Thank you for being an incredibly strong human and overcoming your tragedies.
I heard that a salt water crocodile has the highest bite clamping force, they obviously never compared that clamp force against Andy's feet and toes lol. The strength you have and ability is nothing short of awesome. Been watching a lot of your videos they are inspirational and equally impressive. I am sure many people though are actually learning how to fix things from you as well. Hats off to you bud.
great work Andy and many thanks to the man who gave you the stand. You have a great daughter that would get her hands in the grease to help you.
She has never been afraid to get dirty. Plus, she figures things out, and knows how to hold a wrench. She's great help. Thanks Wayne
"Well, it;s easy to see what happened here" The SUSPENSE!!!! Kudo's to KS Steel Products! Loved the music! (thanks Kylie)
Thanks for watching Robert
@Robert tribby how are you doing ?
@@lindabaker6338 Pretty well. Recovering from a car crash. Air Bag fractured my sternum.
@@zedhead2864 I understand that feeling completely. I got hit by a drunk driver split my head wide open from front to back broke 6 in my neck and 15 in my back and the steering wheel broke my sternum. The sternum healed the quickest but hurt like hell to do anything
Gday Andy and Kylie, what a pleasure to watch, father and daughter working together, it is really nice seeing a family bond so well, you do an amazing job Andy with your feet and you really prove that you never let anything bet you, thank you for another great video, I really enjoy watching you guys, thank you, Matty
Thanks Matty. I think Kylie farming and working with me is fantastic. Thank you for watching

Andy,
I fully understand now "Splitting The 🚜" LMAO 😂. That was amazing. Glad to hear that there is still good people out in the world . The guy that not only gave you you the split stand, but took the time to deliver half way. God Bless him.
Kylie, your daddy Shure is Blessed to have you as a daughter. Great job on the Tractor and the Music. That made the video 10 times better. Love watching these videos, keep up the great work.
👍👍👍
Thanks Abel. Ill be sure to relay your message to Kylie. It makes me so proud to hear great things said about her, and you are right, I am very blessed. Thanks for watching
your and your relationship with your community gives me hope that that all will be well as this country goes through the next few years
Hello and good morning Andy . The video was top notch, showing the process and seeing it split was great BUT the look on your face when the old girl finally broke apart was such a huge smile and it truly warmed my heart and I’m not much of a emotional man but it darn near brought a tear to my eyes.
I remember those days of working on a piece of machinery that took hours just to strip everything that is in the way of the actual issue. And when it all comes together , there was no better feeling . And I think I seen that look in your eyes and the smile on your face when she broke loose.👍 and THANK YOU. for showing us a day in the life of Andy .Please keep the videos coming and good luck getting the old girl back together .
Thank you, and thanks for watching
Love the sweatshirt Kylie!! And the music, I needed a good laugh !!

As a mechanic I have all kinds of problems just trying to get things apart with my hands. You split a tractor with your feet. How amazing. Very inspirational. Improvise. Adapt. And overcome.
Thanks Michael. You are correct. a lot of my time in the shop consists of just sitting there looking and thinking "how the hell am I going to do this" lol. Then just dive into it. If something comes up that Kylie and I cant do, we just hafta ask for help and wait on it. Its just the way it is. Thanks for watching
It's coming Andy. Your very humble. People reward your good heart and fantastic attitude. People are amazing. Carry on Brother.
Thanks for watching Marty
WOW. Nice job Andy getting that tractor split. There is nothing you and Kylie can't do and then, video all that work. Excellent that Kenny from K&S had a splitting stand for you. Not only makes the job easier, but much safer. TO BE CONTINUED..........CAN'T WAIT. LOL

You are a super awesome guy. Thank you for the things you do
That's what determination looks like. You are an inspiration sir!!!
Love watching all the progress with the tractor. There is no such thing as "you can't" and you have proven that again and again. Your wonderful family you have and the help you have when you do need it. It would be a privilege to be able to hang out and work on a tractor with you and spend time with an amazing guy.
Nice splitter stand. Super nice of him to get it to you. Nice job Andy be waiting to see what you found wrong.
Damn... I have to say I'm more than impressed with the way you work... forget the stand I could fab one out in day no problem... but if I was restricted to work only as you with your feet It would take a year to split that machine... You are a machanic but an amazing one. I could watch you work all day but don't have the dexterity in my feet to ever do what I just watched you do. Your Incredible, and encompass the spirit of adapting to overcome the challenge. Great Job as I take my hat off to you.
Hi Andy
Your new tractor splitter is a great bit of kit lot easier than a trolley Jack and safer yet another great video you make the spanner work look so easy and you and Kylie
Can't wait to see what the clutch is like
Have a great week
Thanks for watching Simon.
Andy, You are an amazing man for sure. And Carley or is it Karly you are so blessed to have Andy as a father.
You can brag anytime and simply say My Daddy can do more with two feet than most men can with 2 feet and two hands.
Said he is not a mechanic well now all I got to say he can do my mechanic work any day.
Thank you. And thanks for watching
Not a mechanic? You are 1000 times better than most of the farm mechanics I have worked with! I love Kylie’s “Glyphosate Survivor” sweatshirt! Classic!
Thanks for watching Mike
Nice work getting the 856 split. You may not be a mechanic but, you make it look like you almost know what you're doing. LOL It's alway good to see family members working together. Looks like K&S builds a really nice unit for splitting the tractor with. Pretty cool of them to help you out like that. Stay safe.
Oh no you didn't!!! A cliff hanger?!!?!?!?! LOL Great video Andy. I love seeing you two working together, I can see the joy in your eyes when she's in the shop with you. So heartwarming to watch. Thank you for the time you take to make these for us. Remember my JD 50 is next ;)
Lol, thanks for watching
"I'm just splitting this tractor for fun" - where as the rest of us would have our heads in our hands, praying we could somehow do it and put it back together! You never cease to amaze me, Andy - best wishes to you!
Never thought I'd be interested in seeing what 'splitting a tractor' was all about. Can't wait to see what you already noticed is wrong in there. I won't know even when you tell us, but super enjoyable to watch. Lucky for you Andy that you have good eyesight. How you can see out to the end of your toes that well-- you're quite amazing. Kylie you are a fantastic daughter.
Thank you woody, and thanks for watching

Dude you our inspiration to all people there's people that can't do what you do that have two hands you are truly incredible inspiration dollars thank you God bless
For ours not dollar
I was watching you wrench thinking we would work good together, my legs don’t work and I work in a wheelchair wrenching. lol like your shop, a good level floor really makes a big difference in getting things done for me. I have projects backed up for this winter in mine. Got to admit those splitting stands make me jealous. I use air tools a lot more than you do to make things easier for me. Without legs working it’s hard to get the power on them big bolts. Your eye sight must be a lot better than mine to work with your eyes away from the job so far. I am 61 and need to be right on on my work anymore. A good assistant means the word to me at times. Put a front seal in my 1566 last week and try as hard as I could I couldn’t lift that radiator up and out. with just my arms. Good neighbors are a blessing in those situations. Best of luck on the 856, great old tractor
Im blessed with good neighbors. Joe and his son Cody are just right up the road and would be offended if I didn't call them if I needed something. Im looking into the cordless impacts like the Milwaukee ones, just hate to spend that kinda money but might haft too. Thing of it is, Id like the 1/2 and the 3/8's, and now we are getting really pricey lol. Probably would be worth it in the long run. Thanks for watching
I'm liking your videos. You can do things I can't do, and I have all my limbs. My hat is off to you. Good job! That splitting stand is just slicker than sheep snot! Andy, my friend. Snows a coming. I install my soft sided cab and turned on the heater hose valves to the heater. Checked it out, and I'm as ready as I can be, for this snow. Weatherman says maybe 2 - 4 inches, our way. Take care, and stay warm. God bless, from Central Indiana
Crap coming here Sunday night into Monday morning. Roads will be crappy, then the state will salt the crap outta them. It'll just be a mess for us.Thanks for watching
Love the video great to see your getting the old girl back to life 👍👍🍀🍀🍀

Lol, I have made it. I was super excited when we got it split. I think Kylie was impressed with herself also. Its really great having Kylie helping me. Going to video on it some today for a Wednesday video to show some of the worn and damaged parts. Thanks Dave, I appreciate it.
I am a new Subscriber here and Andy you seem like a very likable, good hearted, hard working person. I am so glad you decided to make UA-cam videos and that I found your channel, you would not believe how much you inspire people. I can't wait to see this tractor when you're done with it. Good luck and God bless you, your family and your friends.

Really enjoyed the video, brought back some memoirs of the late 60's taking an old John Deere 2 cylinder wopper popper in half lol we didn't have a stand to roll in half. Was a lot of work for me and it took two of us two weeks to get it done.
Love you and your daughter in the shop. Keep the video and humor coming it's always great.
It is awesome to watch you do what you do. Eager to see what is next. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks for watching
You make that look easy alot of us have a hard time using both hands man that is amazing
I just wanna day it’s amazing how you use your feet to work with small things .... hell sometimes I have a hard time picking up a washer off the ground with my hands let alone my feet !
Loved the splitter stand.
My first job on leaving school was on a farm arranged by my father, he worked in tunnel construction and dumped the spoil on the farmers land and filled a valley. He being the son of a farmer often chatted about farming over dinner, one evening I explained we had to change a burnt out clutch and it was going to be a suck it and see trial as no one on the farm had done it.
The next morning a construction truck arrived with a mechanic, two lengths of mini rail track and sleepers (rail ties) a small flat bed rail cart, and a lot of know how from the mechanic. He then left to let us get on with it but did say call him there was a problem, the clutch was changed with the help of a broom handle for alignment. Amazingly every thing worked once we bolted it all back together plus no bucket of missing when done.
Lol, sounds like our farm, things happen, but nobody did it. I just want to know how it happened so I know how to fix it. But nobody did it. oh well lol Thanks for watching
Been watching your videos for a while now and I can say that I love them. Also think that there is nothing you can’t do. Keep up the great work.

Wow footloose what a inspiration to all. I live in the uk as a tractor mechanic and have days of how do I get in their to do that repair . splitting a tractor is no mean feet (sorry for pun) but your the master .your tip toes above us all . Also your doing not wait and saying cannot .good work. and most of all enjoying life is a life of enjoyment.
Thanks for watching Scott.
I think with being a farmer, the mechanic part is implied, Andy. What impresses me is that I never see you stick your tongue out when trying to pull out a bolt or something. Admittedly, I'm no mechanic but I find myself doing that even with the simplest of tasks like airing up a tire and I'm using my hands. Kudos to you and your daughter for the progress and to K&S for their generous support! Thanks for continuing to take us along and God bless.
