@sonographictendencies Hi Henry, could you explain transducer orientation, transverse and longitudinal and where that is relative to segments on the body. For example, my instructors and peers have said that in transverse the indicator is mostly on the left side which I have seen that to been the case when I scan upper arterial duplex, however in long axis, the indicator is pointing down when scanning the left side vs the right side where the indicator is pointing up. It is hard for me to grasp that for some reason.
Great video! Thank you. Can you tell me where you got your transducer and what program you’re using to access it on your phone? That’s amazing you have a wireless transducer.
Please, Can you tell me a name of a video capture card ( internal or external) to record from ultrasound machine in high definition the same as the machine ?
Question: when looking at the axillary vein/ any veins in the arm/armpit, is it improper to put the arm up over the head (armpit to the ceiling)? Had 2 different technicians do 2 different strategies. Arm over the head strategy told me I have a blood clot. Arm down to the side/out like you I was told no clot. Was the clot reading inaccurate? Thank you
@@cliftonortat513 I disagree… the presence of a clot it’s determined by the compression of the vein… the radiologist will read the study based on the loops, clips and still pictures provided by the technologist… if the techs don’t see or don’t identify the clot, chances are that the reader miss it too
@@lanialis9146 The OP assumes that the presence of a clot was ultimately determined by the positioning of their arm and never mentions anything about compressing the veins. And in the case a tech doesn't identify a clot, or if it's a technically poor quality, incomplete or inconclusive study, chances are likely that a repeat exam will be ordered at the reader's discretion, not by the technologist.
Thank you for this. I have been struggling in lab and now have a upper extremity practicum later today. This video is really helpful.
You’ve helped me get through school. Thank you so much!
Wonderful!! You showed us the probe positioning and knob manipulation as well. That was great!
Henry, you tutorials scientifically accurate, and well explained
Thank you sir! You are doing a great service to us future sonographers 😁.
I like the background music... quite calming actually 😊

Please do a video of how-to scan hernia when you have time. Pretty please???? 🙏🙏
I have my final on the upper extremity venous protocol so thank youuuuu

Nicely demonstrated ,thanks
I see you have your own us machine, can you link below which one did you get please.
Hi Great tutorial! Which handheld ultrasound are you using? And are you adjusting gain, controls, taking pictures on an iPad or iPhone?
Thx David H
Great video! Thank you. Can you tell me where you got your transducer and what program you’re using to access it on your phone? That’s amazing you have a wireless transducer.
What kind of ultrasound machine are you using?
superb can u plz do ultrasound on varicose veins
Hi, where did you purchase that probe? I’m also an ultrasound technologist, it would be nice to have one. Thanks
It was a loaner from ge I didn’t purchase it but I may in the future
Hey Henry I wonder what type of handheld scanner you have, I have Sonoque but it is not as clear as yours.
thank you so much
With that towel on half your body, you look like a true roman

Not all technologists use the same technique. The presence of a clot is determined by the physician analyzing the images.

Than You so much
Good enough for me! The best part hahahaha
You don’t do the basilic vein?
he did!
At around 7:30 is when he does that
