Life is so good in Uganda. Pure n simple. Been there 2004-07. Ugandans are simple, humble, industrious n diligent. Where can you find simple poor folks living for day or 2 for just 500-1000 shillings. I witnessed in a construction site of a Pinoy contractor where 2 male cousins or neighbors worked for 1000 shillings. 500 shillings from 8am to 12noon for the 1st male cuz n 500 shillings from 1pm to 5pm. 1000 shillings at that time on 2006 is worth 30-40php. Can you top that. Family of 3-5 survived on this earning from day to day. The Pinoy contractors supervisor is a Pinoy too. Pinoy skilled workers in Uganda such as mason, plumbers, electricians, carpenters etc are paid about 1k to 3k depending on thier expertise n other skills. What we eat here in Phil are in Uganda but much cheaper. In most of thier street foods are similar but healthier n cheaper esp if you live outside the urbanareas.

Am Ugandan and have visited asia, trust me when i tell you that it is hotter in asia than Uganda in summer..the hottest here is around 28°c, but most of the time it is lower, but i know that temperatures there can even go to 35°c...too hot over there
