Honestly, I can't get over the writing in this game, it's absolutely phenomenal!! Even the advertising for the game has little hints ("the love gift of a fairy tale" and "a game where you save your prince") and the song lyrics are also super clever. And I love that the translators made sure to keep little hints in the writing, which i feel is easily lost in games. Like in Cinderella's route, when shes trying to lure Alice out of his room, she says she feels like a "Hunter" with a capital H. I rewatched the streams and the amount of little hints is so cool to see the second time around!! And while I don't approve of real life Yurika, she really adds to the story. Though i have to say, i kinda missed Cinderella's Yurika in the later routes, back when she felt just like a funny and witty girl and not a controverial mastermind. And considering yuri and ukyo were my favorites in their respective games, it makes sense that the wizard and cinderella were my favorites here lolol. And I usually like yanderes at least a little so i was surprised to have finally met one that i didnt like lmaoo...though gretel was super fun to make fun of. Kaguya making fun of the whole "sister" thing had me dying of laughter😂 from what ive seen, i think heads and tails might be more light hearted so i really look forward to that!! But overall, this game is super unique and I wish i could replay it for the first time again, its an incredible story.
Yep couldn't agree more. Fantastic writing and phenomenal hints interspersed in literally everything. (I almost feel like replaying again just to catch more references and see how many hints there were in the other routes now that I have context.) You summed up my feeling on Cinderella's Yurika vs the other Yurikas so well. That was the one route where she really didn't feel like a controversial mastermind and I'm sad we didn't get more versions of her just being a witty fun girl. lolol yeah, you and I both had those Ukyo and Yuri feels in us that doomed us from the start, eh? xD I'm stoked to hear that Heads and Tails is more lighthearted. I could do with some of that after all this trauma we went through. :P
For me the best part of this game was the angle of DiD and how well they actually portrayed it. Along with the fact that it felt like they were also referencing how someone could love more than one person in a healthy sort of way. I am excited to see what the next to games have in store

Plot 1. Alice - The number one spot has to go to Alice. His route really just takes everything good about the previous routes and ties it into a nice bow. It was so satisfying seeing all the puzzle pieces finally come together and I couldn't believe how well done the plot was. I also think they handled the DID part well which is always a plus. If I have one complaint it's really just that Alistair deserves better than Yurika. 2. Wizard - The Wizard is really only higher than Snow because I prefer the Wizard's personality more than Snow's. Plus the fact that we ended up being the cat. 3. Snow - Plot wise Snow and the Wizard are on pretty equal footing for me honestly. They both focused more on plot information rather than romance which normally I don't like as much and prefer more of a balance but I enjoyed the plot of this game so much that I didn't really notice. The one thing I'll say about that is that it does make Yurika and the boys' relationship feel a little less believable to me. 4. Gretel - Ah Gretel. The crazy baby brother. His route is definitely very intense and I think he may be the only route where I didn't play straight through cause there were a lot of very dark moments in that route. His route had an interesting plot as well as some clues to the overarching story which is why he is as high as he is. Part of it also might be because Hansel and Gretel was my favorite fairy-tale when I was little so it definitely has a special place in my heart. The sister thing was honestly the worst part for me. I said it before and I'll say it again, you can be crazy or you can be my brother but you can't be both. Yurika being equally as crazy kinda saved this route for me since they balanced each other out. 5. Cinderella - I think Cinderella's route is a great opening route to start with for this game. There are hints of something more serious lying beneath the surface while still being pretty light hearted. We don't get a whole lot of information about the overarching story but the plot was still interesting and I definitely wasn't bored which is why he goes above Kaguya for me. 6. Kaguya - Kaguya had a good story and I did like it, but like I initially said I just feel kinda indifferent. His route had quite a bit happen in it and it was definitely intense at some points but I just found it a bit boring. I'm wondering if part of it has to do with the fact that unlike all the others (excluding the Wizard) I didn't grow up knowing the story of Princess Kaguya so I don't have any attachment to it the way I do with the other stories. I did do some research before I started his route so I wouldn't be completely in the dark, but it's not the same as having read the story countless times over many years. I don't dislike Kaguya but I can't really say I like him either. 7. Red - Honestly, Yurika is the main problem I had with this route. I just felt so icky the entire time I was playing through it. I actually considered not finishing his route and just watching your playthrough so I would have someone to get through it with me. Yurika's plan was honestly like doing a math problem completely wrong but somehow still coming up with the right answer. There were so many ways it could have gone wrong and there are definitely a lot of ways she could have handled it better but given what her personality is really like it does make sense why she did what she did. Personality (Briefly since this comment is long) 1. Wizard - I was in love with this character from the first time I met him in Cinderella’s route and visually I like him the most. I’m also just a sucker for guys who don’t love me back. 2. Alice - When we first met him in the void I’ll admit that I didn’t like him, but I was intrigued by him. I felt like there was more to him then we were seeing and it made me want to keep playing to figure it out. I even found myself looking forward to being insulted by him and was really happy whenever he would make an appearance in someone else’s route. 3. Gretel - What can I say really? Would I want to be around someone like this in real life? Absolutely NOT, but when it comes to fictional games I tend to really like these kinds of characters. Also as I said before I just really like the original Hansel & Gretel fairytale, so he gets points just for that. 4. Cinderella - I admittedly didn’t like him all that much in the start of his route but I warmed up to him over time. He’s very sweet and you can tell he cares about the people that he loves. 5. Snow - Maybe it’s just me but I feel like we didn’t really get to see a whole lot of his personality in his own route since it was so plot focused. He’s ranked here purely because although I like him I like the others more. 6. Red - His personality in context does make a lot of sense but the nose bleeding at every sentence just isn’t it for me. The only reason he’s above Kaguya is because Little Red Riding Hood was my second favorite fairytale growing up. 7. Kaguya - This boy has such a tragic past and I feel bad for him but I just didn’t have the same attachment to him that I did the others. 8. Yurika - She is simultaneously one of my favorite and least favorite protagonists I’ve ever played as. She was written really well and I loved that she had her own feelings and motivations. She felt very much like a real person to me. Her personality in itself though makes me dislike her and I would never want to run into her. Although I feel that her heart was in the right place, the way she went about it was definitely not it. There are so many ways it could have gone terribly wrong. My feelings toward her are very mixed. I love her and can respect certain aspects about her but at the same time she can die in a fire.

i love the genderbent fairy tale characters and their portrayal as part of DID. this game's portrayal of DID as a whole was really well done. its rare to see a game use it as a plot point and not completely skewed (*cough* looking at toko from danganronpa *cough*) so that was a delight. once again my list is based on the character's romantic chemistry with yurika. 1. Cinderella- this man is just so respectful and loving toward yurika. true it was rocky at the start, but i think the two handled the employer/employee turned dating cliche better than most stories. it even became a barrier at one point and the two managed to work it out beautifully. and cinderella is a true gentleman. even though he was broke and she was his out he would never take a handout like that. i also love how he persued his dream in glasswork and made her glass slippers like that is so cute. man said fuck rings i want you to have your own glass slippers 2. Wizard- i would argue this man is just as extreme as yurika is. he helped the real yurika cure alistair depite loving her by killing her clones. also the fact that the letter was his doing all along is also very extra. also lets be honest how often are two people completely equally matched at chess? like those two could play a single chess game for days and i find that really cute 3. Alice- i love the back and forth dynamic between these two. man called her a nymphoslut and she didnt even comment on it. she worked really hard to break him out of his shell in others routes and became his rock when he was lonely in his route. he was the first one to help her overcome the way other people bullied her for her looks because of how much he loves her smile. it's so goddamn cute istg 4. Kaguya- the twist with his amnesia was definitely interesting and despite the fact it made him a cheater and he might forget her, yurika didnt waiver. she was set on helping him and even went to the extreme of stabbing herself. their slice of life dates were also extremely cute 5. Snow- it was kind of hard for me to place snow because it felt like yurika had to do so much work compared to him. which yeah thats normal in this game but it felt even more extreme with snows route with him actively avoiding her. i would also argue that she had more chemistry with mom than snow like. like sometimes the interactions with snow were akward. but i did think the love at first sight cliche was really cute and once he did open up the two had a cute shy couple who was been dating for years vibe. snow also gets brownie points for being the only personality (besides the wizard and alice) to actually know whats going on 6. Gretel- i agree with you this route was so gross and uncomfortable. yurika was also extra psychotic and (in his route only) a perfect match for gretel. the only reason he is this low is because at the end its still hard to tell whether gretel sees her as a sister or a romantic partner. there was the whole conflict that if they do get together and it doesnt work out he loses her altogether and it seems he's still trying to hold onto the sister complex. this tells me he doesnt fully trust her even at the end of his route and it irks me 7. Red- the reason this man is at the bottom is because yurika has no boundaries and after seeing red in all routes, not just his, this man is asexual and no one can tell me otherwise this list actually took longer than usual and i was moving people around as i was writing my reasonings because of how intricate the game is and the fact that their personalities vary depending on the route, including the mc. like i hate the real world yurika and red's yurika but i loved cinderella's and alice's. she was also more extreme in some compared to others which changes the whole game

hi molly! it's been a while since i last commented on your video, i think the last time i commented was on your cinderella phenomenon evermore final thoughts video! i'm still lurking here, i promise, and i still watch your videos but i just don't comment anymore because i only watch your videos after you finish a route (?) if that makes sense, like when you finish kaguya's route and his bad ends for example, i will only watch your videos after you upload all of them! anyway... idk about the others but i absolutely ADORE this game! this game's been on my mind since day 1! i personally really love fairytales, live happily ever after stuff so this game is right up my alley! and not to mention that ever since you started playing this game, somehow my life is full of alice in wonderland stuff (for example: the game that i was playing had an alice in wonderland event, i played some gashapon and i got 2 alice action figures) like the coincidence is crazy! i think one of the main reasons why i really love this game is the cgs... like they're so PRETTY! i really like the artsyle and the music pieces too... ugh, so beautiful! for the guys, i just wanna say, i like my man draped in darkness and as a cat person myself, i really love how the wizard has a black cat "familiar", it's so cute whenever i see the wizard's sprite with the black cat standing on his shoulder! :D and (*cough cough*) I AGREE WITH YOU MOLLY, HE'S SO HOT, hooooo boy (*in sojiro's voice*) and idk if anybody feels the same as me, i just think red is so adorable and needs to be protected at all costs! i just love how he has wolf ears, that's so cute! alice... what comes out from his mouth is not as beautiful as his looks but hey, i still love him! xD his insult is just top-tier! english is not my first language so i'm learning quite a whole of new words from him, one of them is nymphoslut... thanks alice! kaguya... I think this is the only game I followed you play since day one! Crazy that its been multiple months since then! I really liked the ranking although I personally see Alice and Alistair as two different characters! Which is good because that way my tsundere boy Alice gets a Yurika that isn’t lowkey terrible hahah (absolutely agree with your opinion on Real world Yurika, I really hoped the after story would make me understand her but NOPE! I still dunno if she slept with the wizard or not. And I feel like they couldve just made Her love the other personalities platonically instead of making her cheat on everyone) Also Alice ranks highest for me, and so does his chemistry with Yurika because while Alistair and Yurika were just not good together I’m sorry, Alice and Dream Yurika were absolutely adorable, which is crazy because I was not an Alice fan in the beginning AT ALL! They also had my favorite kiss scene and my top CG (the rainbow one) though the Wizards CG w yurika on his lap comes close second, and Cinderellas glass slipper CG and bridal carry CG come third! Gretel is who ranks lowest for me too although I grew to like him because his weird sister shtick and Yandereness was used more comedic thing so that ended up endearing me to him a little! (Its very unfortunate he was like that tho because I really liked him in cinderellas route like wth man 😭) Kaguya, the wizard and cinderella all rank really high for me too! Theyre awesome and their routes were too, absolutely! Red and Snow I also really like, but not necessarily that much in their own routes. I love Red to pieces in Snows route, and Snow I loved in Kaguyas route! Ahhh I miss the game already! I’m excited to meet the characters in Heads and tails again! :)

What a crazy ride this game turned out to be. Nothing could have prepared me for the amount twists this game dished out - while there were certain characters and moments that left a bitter taste in my mouth (looking at YOU, Gretel and several of the Yurikas -_-), the writing was truly fantastic, and kept me on my toes the entire time. I also really want to commend how well they balanced the darker themes of this game with genuine comedic relief! I really appreciated that duality. It also soothed my inner child to revisit some of these long-loved fairytales in a new light.

Oh wow, I love these final thoughts and you're right, not surprised at all at the wizard being number your number 1☺️ This felt like the perfect way to wrap up this amusement park of a game. I will have to watch the whole thing again (or play it myself) in order to really get an accurate list going but i do want to say this: Taisho Alice has be come my new favorite NV, *hands down* 🖐✋️👇⬇️ Hustle Cat is what started it all for me. And this game maybe me feel that newness and excitement all over again. It means that much to me. And as much as I loved Psychedelicia I couldn't wait for the next route of taisho alice. The only real complaint i have with this game is that it was difficult to understand at times. Especially in snow's route. But even then it was all part of the mystery of Alice. Yurika. 😬 While she is manipulative, cunning, and sneaky, I absolutely love her. She doesn't get played, she holds her own, and she goes and gets what she wants. Girl boss all the way. And just like all the boys she is imperfect. And it's because of these flaws that she was able to do what was needed to help these boys, even if it was unsavory. While Yurika definitely tricked everyone and their momma and some point I'm not mad at her for it. She wouldn't be yurika Arisu if she hadn't (although i haven't watched the Alistair afterstory yet so i wonder if my opinion will change lol) As of right now my list is this: Kaguya Kaguya Kaguya Red Riding Hood Kaguya Kaguya And Kaguya I could probably fill a whole journal about this sweet suffering boy. I won't, ill just say that his story really hits home with me. Not to mention the politeness and courtesy, he's just my type on top of everything else. What can i say.😅 Red riding hood was very sweet and polite too. And really appreciate his dedication to protection (even though it ended up being a lie in his route). When he wasnt being 12 he was being so whole and it just makes my heart melt. Im sure this will change upon re-watch butvthe rest of the boys go Cinderella, Wizard, Gretel, Snow. I warmed up to Cinderella A LOT The wizard, i gotta say i wasn't satisfied with his good endind. Although i love we were engaged to all the boys in his route Gretel... is Gretel. I would have to be in an extremely weird and Rare (and probably unhealthy) mood to want some Gretel. Not polite at all! And snow, i don't buy a romance between them at all. And his route i understood the least. I did really like the story aspect though. I feel like his route was when the game really started to open up. That's all from me for now. I want to thank you again for introducing this beautiful and tragic VN. It was a wild ride, one i looking forward to riding again 😊
For me (sorry if my English is off it's not my mother language, also I tell in advance that I played in Japanese): 1. Kaguya: He's situation is just so sad. Also I liked how they portrayed the suicide tendencies that it's not enough that Yurika tells him that she loves him, his scars are just too deep to be washed away just by words. Also I don't think that the only reason for Yurika to flirt with the other guys was to get the reaction from him I think that it was also for him to understand how much he values her, and that he has something to live for. Also I really love his kansai ben and his Hi san. And the beginning of his route is just a comedy gold. And I really liked how they portrayed the past here, especially the first scene with the mother's funeral. The sound of the rain resonating like the noise which perfectly corresponded with his disrupted memories. Also I really appreciate that even if his route goes pretty dark, I never felt any sense of danger to others from Kaguya himself. His broken yaeh but not violent towards the others in any way, actually I find him really mellow. The diary part is really sweet, with the little drawings. The symbolism of the mask. The overall poetic atmosphere is really captivating. My only complain is that we get almost nothing from Alistair perspective about this period of his life, we don't even see the girl that committed suicide. But I guess that makes sense since there was no Yurika, no Ryoushi and no Ookami with him when this incidents took place. Even though little something would be good. Oh I almost forgot... props for Cinderella's supportive role. 2. Akazukin: I find him cute and funny. Also really helpful and solid especially as a supportive character. But yeah the Yurika master plot really leave the aftertaste in my mouth I would rather prefer the Ookami as the bad guy than the anticlimactic gotcha ending. 3. Gretel: I love how intense his route is, I love the twists, I love the psychology of the characters and I actually like this big mouth of Gretel and yeah part of me wanted to see the rapists burn so I'm actually content that he beat them. I don't mind his neesan fetish, even more since it has it's purpose. His connection to Yurika is the only connection that he values and it's only natural that he's afraid of loosing it. And sorry dear Father in Heaven but I find him sexy and Eguchi Takuya did the excellent job to lead me to this opinion. 4. Alice/Alistair: Alice is super funny. Alistair is a poor boy. This route is the great epilog and really shows how smart the writing is. I also appreciate the bad end, that the game takes in to consideration that Yurika plotting could also ended this way. 5. Cinderella: I like the guy but his route was rather boring at times for me. I like how he is this caring big brother type with the big mouth and his dynamic with Yurika was really natural and funny but... I don't know... I found his plot rather boring or maybe the execution of the plot, dunno... 6. Shirayuki: Boring, boring and boring. I liked the story with Ryoushi and the revelation about the living with the mother's dead body. I like the contrast between his appearance and his a bit rough personality. I like his shame and fear about revealing his dirty self to Yurika. But that's it. I know that the story about the Snow White was about the girl who was sleeping, but do I also have to sleep? 7. Mahoutsukai (sorry): I don't like this route, sorry. I hate the premise that Yurika is engaged to 4 guys and she just leads them by the nose only to drop them in one moment for mahoutsukai (and even he is like wtf You just said that You love them all and suddenly You are head over heels for me what's wrong with You gurl [props for that]). I hate that the real Yurika slept with Mahoutsukai and it doesn't have sense since Alistair is not in the la la land at the moment, so why would she do that? She's suppose to love Alistair so why she did something to traumatize him? It's seems like the only reason is that the writer needed it for later or maybe I didn't catch on something. Also this route is really repetitive. You see exactly the same events just with different perspective. And to be honest the true about the mahoutsuki role in bad ends also doesn't do good for me. Stop killing me! Yurika: She is well wrote but that doesn't mean I like her. I like some of her alters but not the real one for obvious reasons. Alistair find somebody better, You deserve it xD' I also appreciate that they took in to consideration differences in the approach towards the DID. The former doctor who wanted to merge all personalities (old perspective) and Ryoushi who is more towards the healthy coexistence of them (present perspective). Thank You for your review! If it makes you feel any better, I waited till last night to write my review and lists which I still had to change like many times when I saw which way you went and to remember maybe details, I missed since there were uncertainties with a few my main list didn't change much maybe a few flips. Definitely the top two were painful for me to decide. Let's see how long my computer works may need several parts again. I was honestly nervous how this list but man I don't know how accurate we seem to click like it's like we are psychic like this was not planned! As for my thoughts on Yurika I pretty much said it all the last time she's definitely my worst Mc I personally can't relate to her. But I do agree that she's someone you need to have acquired taste for since there's quite a fanbase for this psycho but as said before I have other Alice Mcs that are better then her and barrable to play as and I am meeting strong willed Mcs like Ichika from Collar x Malice that is smart, knows her limits, stands up for herself and feisty or Cyrus from Steam Prison sure she can get on my nerves but she knows she's not invincible and you get the point. 7.) Gretel (because duh) I mean we were traumatized after this route and it didn't help we had yanderes in the other game thank God they weren't back-to-back that would have sucked I look back at your Dandelion and Amnesia days like man she was unlucky. And yeah pretty much him and Yurika deserve each other not for my taste per say. And knowing how true this whole crazy plot was to Alistair and one of the factors that made him worst for ware. And I am like you where they need a reason in order to be given a chance and yes they do give us the reason as to why he is doing this but because of his asshole nature because the appeal of the yandere is they have a "sweet" or nice side and a dangerous side. And Gretel's "nice" side sucks and his sister complex like I also don't care if your adopted siblings or not, but he made it so uncomfortable. I guess sometimes his insults were funny but they weren't golden tier either. 6.) Red Sure it was cute and funny at first with her teasing him and nose bleeding but man did it get old fast! The second-hand embarrassment was real man! And if I'm honest my mind is so vague on this route because that was nearly the only thing I remember as well as that funny bad ending that all of us were rolling in laughter if I think hard enough yes I remember what went down thanks to Snow White's route since it was similar storyline. But if I really have to think of what went down it goes to show how memorable it is but it also was a joy to see him after this whereas with Gretel it was always followed by a sigh or ugh whenever he showed his face. Ryoushi and Woolfe were fun to interact with since it was our first encounter with them. The twists definitely was a sight to behold! 5.) Snow White So much lore holy cow! It was overwhelming but in a good way. The 7 dwarfs make sense now lol since there's seven of those boys in Alistair. But yeah the romance felt like a side show where as the plot/lore was the main show like they were kind of cute but man did Yurika have to work for this boy and let's be honest this type of guy isn't my thing not by a long shot since I'm not fond of the kuudere trope because there's such a long progress to get into a relationship that I don't have the patience for. It was definitely confusing how to feel about Mother. Like is she nice or mean? But it does go with the fairytale so it works. 4.) Alice He and my 3 swapped after hearing you and I went yeah that's fair enough. Since after pondering this route when not looking at the flashback scenes which was really the point of this route was learning how the personalities came into being and healing Alistair so he can wake up. We were mostly chasing Alice around the Looking-Glass World yeah it was funny to watch the banter that get switched up to make it fresh but it also was fast paced sure there was the one quiet moment midway through said chase with the ribbon fixing but that's it. And the romance sort of felt shoehorned in there at the end yeah that kiss was awkward and cute and yes they do explain this is Real Yurika's shadow who was in love with Alice but has moved on to the real Alistair but it felt like yeah let's just conveniently give Mc Alice so she's not alone but I kind of let it slide because yeah the story is finally done and everyone is happy. 3.) Wizard Sorry Molly I get he's hot and I'd be lying if I said he wasn't like he is and he was always a delight to see on screen. But my consciousness can't bring him higher than this he was going to be my fourth but since it is a personal list I let him have the top 3. Least he had something of a fully functional plot unlike Alice where it was rushed. As a lore route it was fantastic we got all the pieces we needed to save Alistair and what these "brothers" really are. But man was it awkward like there really wasn't any other way to put them in the same location other then fiancée I mean we know now how this thing came to be that it took it literally but we are supposed to be flirting with the Wizard because its his route. And it makes it worse that he is so stubborn of not falling in love with this Yurika when they are equally matched in personality. Now in retrospect I really brought the iron hammer on Yurika a little too hard its really the Real Yurika that is the reason we're in this mess especially with him. He unfortunately got the table scrapes of her love and he just didn't deserve that sure she's trying to make up for it since she does care about all of them but he's so knee deep head over heels in love with her. We are still left with uncertainty of how he feels about his Yurika. We pray the fandisk confirms something but if that's what we need that's how you know how weak the romance of a route this is. (sorry for my little rant but this is my feelings and I can't lie and say it bothers me) These Top 2 were literally gave me so much pain I kept going back and forth these would be tied but to be fair because I love both of them so I went with what my heart told me. 2.) Kaguya This boy stole my heart like his route was the right amount of funny moments and feels that hit you like a Mack truck like omg this poor guy had a tragic life one after another. Out of all the guys I related to Kaguya the most because I always smile and have a very sunshine exterior but I also am guilty of bottling my feelings out of fear nobody is going to get me. I also have this weird magnetic draw that draws people to me like I had several guys be like I like you and I'm like why (because I honestly don't see my particular personality as anything special) and I genuinely have no clue how to react to when guys come up to me like that. Also he and I called Cinderella Cindy like how I did not plan this! And Cindy fires back with a Missy a nickname for me like I haven't had this weird psychological bond since my days in Blood in Roses with my beloved husbando of that game Jack where we had these moments which was amazing! I did think to make him my number one since it was a whole meal like it was packed with stuff that should warrant a number one but yeah the whole tricking Kaguya didn't make sense other then that Yurika was amazing in this one. One of her best I think she genuinely helped this guy! 1.) Cinderella Yes I'm basic af in this game like everything was omg I really developed a soft spot for this rich snob and I just laughed at every scene and yeah he and Yurika were on equal footing trying to fool each other in their game and knowing about the other. Sure the problem of the loan sharks was nothing but dust since they got rid of them so quickly. But I really adored their relationship and Cindy having his reality check and doing the right thing that takes a lot of courage of letting the one he loves go so he can be worthy of her. (Also not sure if you went back to look at the scene you didn't see which I'll say what happened instead of getting sick from all that food Yurika decides to invite people and have them eat the food which was a nice way to show Cindy this rather than help her when she's puking her guts out)
And real quick on my other two lists which I'll briefly explain because I need to go to bed soon lol Chemistry/Romance (Taking both in account) 7.) Red- self explanatory there is none with these two it's just awkward I don't know how Red fell for her if he did 6.) Snow White- Same reason very low key but you can kind of see he has feelings in there by the end but Yurika clearly out the work in more then him 5.) Alice- It's shoehorned it's probably unfair to put just Alice but I've rewritten these several times I want this over with lol 4.) Gretel- They just deserve each other though sometimes its hard to tell if he still see's her as still his sister or future wife since he still calls her that but is working on saying her name so progress??? 3.) Wizard- Definitely have the Chemistry but the romance is why he's here like we hope he likes her but nobody's giving concrete evidence since he doesn't want to say what's in his mind 2.) Kaguya- He kinda stubbles sometimes to keep up with her but he grows accustomed and the whole testing bit was dumb. Other than that I see a future for these two down the road when he figures out how to handle his new possessiveness because we have a Dark Kagu-bear that escapes sometimes 1.) Cinderella- Perfect Match! And what the Wizard's route should have strived for but oh well! Route Ranking (In terms of advancing the overall plot) 7.) Cinderella- It was minor in the grander scheme of things like it would have worked fine as an episodic which is how I felt for the first two episodes 6.) Red- We do see some underlying of what happened but its kind of buried because of the "finding out the blackmailer" plotline 5.) Kaguya- There was so much heavy stuff since this is really where major stuff happens to Alistair him and 4 could be tied but I'm too far in and because of Kaguya's amnesia it made it unrelable source yes we learn what went down but I guess it goes with what gaps Alistair has in this period because Kaguya got most of it 4.) Gretel- It was quite the seemingly normal as yandere routes go of how accurate these events really were the jaw just dropped in shock like damn that really happened good lord! These next three were hard but I did my best of being fair but they can be interchangeable. 3.) Alice- Yes its the wrap this game and should be on top but it just reaffirmed what we already knew from the next two I'll be ranking and yeah we see how they were created and the conclusion to it. 2.) Snow White- so much info about the Looking Glass World and how it works the connection with the lake being another mirror and it gave a better sense of the Red stuff that weren't quite clear but you could tell there's some difference between him and Red. 1.) Wizard- Yeah Mr. Wizard you got a number 1 in something *claps* This was lore heaven like pretty much everything was revealed in this route of all the missing pieces we needed. We also get the first insight of what the Real Yurika is like and how his role came to be and where his black cat comes from. Phew that was a lot of work! Can't wait to start the new games (I unfortunately never got around to getting a little look around at POTAH so guess we start at the same time and I'll explain tomorrow what I've gathered)

I’m right there wid (PHILLY-USA’s *BIRTHPLACE!!!* :D Speak) ya, homegirl (‘cause ya said ya wished someone would call ya that), on Gretel bein DEAD. LAST. As well as dead to me. *COULDN’T STAND* that freakshow! >:P I also agree that poor Red didn’t deserve all he was put through. The poor guy was a bundle o’ nerves n Yurika should o’ been more respectful o’ his personal boundaries. (It was kinda funny, though, [in maybe a cold way, n I sorta feel bad for sayin this] the way he seemed to just about misinterpret EVERYTHING as racy. 😛) Alice/Alistair’s story was…I’m not even sure how to describe it, wid the backstory we learned as time went on, the whole thing about how all the other dudes were essentially him, just in his Mind. :O I also found his opening personality, in the first few meetings hilarious: I loved the snarkasm he displayed to Yurika when they 1st met. :D I thought Snow was done well by the writer(s) o’ this game, but don’t really have much to say other than that. But the thing ya said about how he n Yurika were a couple the entire time, not just at the end made me think o’ this awesome meme I saw, re: the Prince- “Finds a random corpse in the forest. Kisses it.” Indeed, that is kinda weird, when ya get right down to it. XD Can’t really say much other than what ya said yourself on Cind’s route. Other than I loved that “I’m not your ‘mate’, bro!” comment hearkening back for me to the exchange from C14 Dating that I’d said about before. Wizard was awesome in that his thing wid the opening as I said reminded me o’ old-school film noirs, the hardboiled detectives in trench coats n that kinda thing; he was in fact lookin exactly like that in the start o’ his route. Noir is lone o’ my fave genres o’-well, anything really. Books, TV, games, movies, ya name it. So that owned. I’m not entirely sure I can actually make a rankings list for everyone in this game. I just know that, again, Gretel is ABSOLUTE ZERO n Kag was best. Like I said before, the poor dude DID NOT deserve all he’d been put through as a kid. 😤 No one does. Were it in my power, I’d give him 50 pizzas n a beer, since he had the most horrifically heinous kinda childhood I’ve ever heard o’ in fiction. He was a Good man, n should o’ been shown kindness for it. Thank you for that! xD It is really hard to do a ranking for everybody but looks like you have your definite *dead* last and #1 figured out, so thanks for sharing that as well as your thoughts on all the characters too. I just...Unfortunately sometimes hyper specific stuff can absolutely ruin games for me. And this game pulled one of those. If I were to rank them from worst to best... Gretel. I mean I skipped it. XD Alice. I just...why? Its of no fault of his at all, but if youre telling me he still falls for her and loves her after all this borderline torture? Bah. Red. Not a bad route, but it involves a lot of tropes Im just not fond of. Snow White. He is rather cold the whole time, and it started to delve into the overall story which just...I'll get to it. Wizard. So...I dont blame the guy. Im not fond of the forceful kiss scene, or hurting Alistair. And he really gets done dirty by Yurika. Kaguya. My biggest gripe here is all of the you should never do that to someone thats struggling with that kind of issue things Yurika does to Kaguya. Cinderella. No notes. *claps* So heres the thing. The DiD thing is interesting. Having the personalities live in their own fairy tale worlds is a bit sad in my opinion, only because all the guys deep down know its not "real". Some of the Yurika's do too. The thing that I just cant get over is real Yurika. Its really confusing whether she actually slept with Wizard or not, even so she went around just doing basically whatever she wanted consequences be damned, and inflicted actual harm and trauma on Alistair and Wizard at the very least. Communication do you know it? So just because the overarching story ends up just to get Alistair and real Yurika together, thats a huge thumbs down from me. I dont think Ive hated an MC more. I dont know if youve ever had a moment like Alistair's bathroom freak out scene, where you just feel used and betrayed, but it SUCKS. And I wouldnt wish it on anyone. So to be honest, at the end of the day, Id just pack away the Cinderella route and forget the rest overall. :( Which sucks cause the game did have promise through most of it.

I am personally surprised Wizard ended up ranking as high for you as he did. :O And hey, I can't find any fault with taking Cinderella's route and forgetting the rest. That first route was great and I have no issues with that one either. ^^
my fav boys & routes are basically in the same order, though i cant decide between some of them, so i did cheat a bit with my ranking. anyways, that's my list: 1. that one's easy, it's precious baby brother Gretel of course xD besides just loving this crazy boy, i really liked how this route was structured. normally i'm used to the ~yandere-ness level~ developing as the route proceeds, so it was fun to see that we got hit with it already in the beginning. loved the amnesia & retrospections a lot too, it kept me very invested in this route. btw i felt like a clown for not realizing that Gretel will have some sibling stuff going on, considering he's based off Hansel & Gretel. i mean. that's so obvious, idk why i was even surprised when his sister kink showed up xD 2. so here i'm torn between Alice and Snow. Alice (and Gretel) was the one that kept me interested in the game (at the beginning) when i wasn't sure if i want to watch it. but i was just so curious about him and his insults were too funny. I'm not much into tsundere characters, but i really adore him. Snow on the other hand was someone i wasnt interested in at all, until it came to his route. i loved this route and his character,even though everything was so dark and traumatizing (i still dont feel comfortable about apple pie haha). well, Alice's route wasn't an easy one as well. so yeah, i can’t decide between those two. Alice may be a little bit higher, since i liked his character from the beginning, but overall both of those routes were fantastic. 3. here again i am torn - between Wizard and Cinderella. so when it comes to the character i like more, it's Cinderella. but the routes - that's harder to decide. like i mentioned before, i wasnt entirely sure if i want to watch this gameplay, and since Cinderella was the 1st guy, i felt a bit meh about him at the beginning. but, over time he actually really grew onto me. and his route is way lighter then the other ones, Yurika is also more likeable here, so i think i'll rank Cinderella higher. Wizard isn't my type, but his route was definitely more interesting & explained a lot of things, so route wise i'd rank Wizard higher. especially since we had our harem life and there were some funny dialogues in it, so it was a nice refresh after all the darkness and trauma in previous routes... ofc until Wizard's route started to progress, but that aside xD 4. Red - i hated his route haha, wasnt able to finish it & just skipped through the last videos. but it's not Red's fault, it's Yurika's. i just really disliked her here and this route made me super uncomfortable. I liked Red's character in the next routes that came after his, but his route is just a total miss. 5. Kaguya - both the route & character were very meh to me. idk why tbh, but i just don’t care about Kaguya at all? i also only briefly watched this route, because i wasnt able to get invested inti it. maybe the game developers crushed my hopes for a nice butler route haha. i still don’t understand why Kaguya was Yurika's butler in Cinderella's route (i dont know Kaguya's fairy tale) , but oh well. once again, no nice butler route for me - disappointed but not surprised xD An honorable mention goes to Ryoushi (not included in my list, since he's an NPC 🥹) - i HATED him in Gretel's route. well, no surprise, since i love Gretel, and Gretel hates Ryoushi, so my view of him was very affected by this... and the whole "i know that Gretel overdoses his meds but lol whatever, yolo" situation that was going on... or at least this is how it was portrayed / how i understood it definitely didn't add any good points to Ryoushi xD but then in Snow's route i fell in love with this guy. he's caring and definitely not "lol whatever" and i'm so happy that he helped Snow out, and later Alice as well, unlike a certain doctor that got bored when his "experiment" failed 🙄 Okaaay, this is a looong comment. i'll end it with my two fav quotes: "Do I look okay to you? Unlike you, I prefer brains over brwan. I'm a deep thinker, an intellectual genius. And as such, i'm very delicate! I'm gonna die, i need air!" (i relate to this so much xD) and "Detective, do you like to drink your tea through osmosis?" (yandere-ness at it's perfect level + this also gave me Tei feels. i do love me some tea being used in questionable ways xD). + there was also this quote about Yurika saying that she ineed is a nymphoslut, loved this one as well, but i feel kinda weird about it after the ~cheating revelations~ from the previous video xD

Honestly, I can't get over the writing in this game, it's absolutely phenomenal!! Even the advertising for the game has little hints ("the love gift of a fairy tale" and "a game where you save your prince") and the song lyrics are also super clever. And I love that the translators made sure to keep little hints in the writing, which i feel is easily lost in games. Like in Cinderella's route, when shes trying to lure Alice out of his room, she says she feels like a "Hunter" with a capital H. I rewatched the streams and the amount of little hints is so cool to see the second time around!! And while I don't approve of real life Yurika, she really adds to the story. Though i have to say, i kinda missed Cinderella's Yurika in the later routes, back when she felt just like a funny and witty girl and not a controverial mastermind. And considering yuri and ukyo were my favorites in their respective games, it makes sense that the wizard and cinderella were my favorites here lolol. And I usually like yanderes at least a little so i was surprised to have finally met one that i didnt like lmaoo...though gretel was super fun to make fun of. Kaguya making fun of the whole "sister" thing had me dying of laughter😂 from what ive seen, i think heads and tails might be more light hearted so i really look forward to that!! But overall, this game is super unique and I wish i could replay it for the first time again, its an incredible story.
Yep couldn't agree more. Fantastic writing and phenomenal hints interspersed in literally everything. (I almost feel like replaying again just to catch more references and see how many hints there were in the other routes now that I have context.)
You summed up my feeling on Cinderella's Yurika vs the other Yurikas so well. That was the one route where she really didn't feel like a controversial mastermind and I'm sad we didn't get more versions of her just being a witty fun girl. lolol yeah, you and I both had those Ukyo and Yuri feels in us that doomed us from the start, eh? xD
I'm stoked to hear that Heads and Tails is more lighthearted. I could do with some of that after all this trauma we went through. :P
For me the best part of this game was the angle of DiD and how well they actually portrayed it. Along with the fact that it felt like they were also referencing how someone could love more than one person in a healthy sort of way. I am excited to see what the next to games have in store

Plot
1. Alice - The number one spot has to go to Alice. His route really just takes everything good about the previous routes and ties it into a nice bow. It was so satisfying seeing all the puzzle pieces finally come together and I couldn't believe how well done the plot was. I also think they handled the DID part well which is always a plus. If I have one complaint it's really just that Alistair deserves better than Yurika.
2. Wizard - The Wizard is really only higher than Snow because I prefer the Wizard's personality more than Snow's. Plus the fact that we ended up being the cat.
3. Snow - Plot wise Snow and the Wizard are on pretty equal footing for me honestly. They both focused more on plot information rather than romance which normally I don't like as much and prefer more of a balance but I enjoyed the plot of this game so much that I didn't really notice. The one thing I'll say about that is that it does make Yurika and the boys' relationship feel a little less believable to me.
4. Gretel - Ah Gretel. The crazy baby brother. His route is definitely very intense and I think he may be the only route where I didn't play straight through cause there were a lot of very dark moments in that route. His route had an interesting plot as well as some clues to the overarching story which is why he is as high as he is. Part of it also might be because Hansel and Gretel was my favorite fairy-tale when I was little so it definitely has a special place in my heart. The sister thing was honestly the worst part for me. I said it before and I'll say it again, you can be crazy or you can be my brother but you can't be both. Yurika being equally as crazy kinda saved this route for me since they balanced each other out.
5. Cinderella - I think Cinderella's route is a great opening route to start with for this game. There are hints of something more serious lying beneath the surface while still being pretty light hearted. We don't get a whole lot of information about the overarching story but the plot was still interesting and I definitely wasn't bored which is why he goes above Kaguya for me.
6. Kaguya - Kaguya had a good story and I did like it, but like I initially said I just feel kinda indifferent. His route had quite a bit happen in it and it was definitely intense at some points but I just found it a bit boring. I'm wondering if part of it has to do with the fact that unlike all the others (excluding the Wizard) I didn't grow up knowing the story of Princess Kaguya so I don't have any attachment to it the way I do with the other stories. I did do some research before I started his route so I wouldn't be completely in the dark, but it's not the same as having read the story countless times over many years. I don't dislike Kaguya but I can't really say I like him either.
7. Red - Honestly, Yurika is the main problem I had with this route. I just felt so icky the entire time I was playing through it. I actually considered not finishing his route and just watching your playthrough so I would have someone to get through it with me. Yurika's plan was honestly like doing a math problem completely wrong but somehow still coming up with the right answer. There were so many ways it could have gone wrong and there are definitely a lot of ways she could have handled it better but given what her personality is really like it does make sense why she did what she did.
Personality (Briefly since this comment is long)
1. Wizard - I was in love with this character from the first time I met him in Cinderella’s route and visually I like him the most. I’m also just a sucker for guys who don’t love me back.
2. Alice - When we first met him in the void I’ll admit that I didn’t like him, but I was intrigued by him. I felt like there was more to him then we were seeing and it made me want to keep playing to figure it out. I even found myself looking forward to being insulted by him and was really happy whenever he would make an appearance in someone else’s route.
3. Gretel - What can I say really? Would I want to be around someone like this in real life? Absolutely NOT, but when it comes to fictional games I tend to really like these kinds of characters. Also as I said before I just really like the original Hansel & Gretel fairytale, so he gets points just for that.
4. Cinderella - I admittedly didn’t like him all that much in the start of his route but I warmed up to him over time. He’s very sweet and you can tell he cares about the people that he loves.
5. Snow - Maybe it’s just me but I feel like we didn’t really get to see a whole lot of his personality in his own route since it was so plot focused. He’s ranked here purely because although I like him I like the others more.
6. Red - His personality in context does make a lot of sense but the nose bleeding at every sentence just isn’t it for me. The only reason he’s above Kaguya is because Little Red Riding Hood was my second favorite fairytale growing up.
7. Kaguya - This boy has such a tragic past and I feel bad for him but I just didn’t have the same attachment to him that I did the others.
8. Yurika - She is simultaneously one of my favorite and least favorite protagonists I’ve ever played as. She was written really well and I loved that she had her own feelings and motivations. She felt very much like a real person to me. Her personality in itself though makes me dislike her and I would never want to run into her. Although I feel that her heart was in the right place, the way she went about it was definitely not it. There are so many ways it could have gone terribly wrong. My feelings toward her are very mixed. I love her and can respect certain aspects about her but at the same time she can die in a fire.

i love the genderbent fairy tale characters and their portrayal as part of DID. this game's portrayal of DID as a whole was really well done. its rare to see a game use it as a plot point and not completely skewed (*cough* looking at toko from danganronpa *cough*) so that was a delight. once again my list is based on the character's romantic chemistry with yurika.
1. Cinderella- this man is just so respectful and loving toward yurika. true it was rocky at the start, but i think the two handled the employer/employee turned dating cliche better than most stories. it even became a barrier at one point and the two managed to work it out beautifully. and cinderella is a true gentleman. even though he was broke and she was his out he would never take a handout like that. i also love how he persued his dream in glasswork and made her glass slippers like that is so cute. man said fuck rings i want you to have your own glass slippers
2. Wizard- i would argue this man is just as extreme as yurika is. he helped the real yurika cure alistair depite loving her by killing her clones. also the fact that the letter was his doing all along is also very extra. also lets be honest how often are two people completely equally matched at chess? like those two could play a single chess game for days and i find that really cute
3. Alice- i love the back and forth dynamic between these two. man called her a nymphoslut and she didnt even comment on it. she worked really hard to break him out of his shell in others routes and became his rock when he was lonely in his route. he was the first one to help her overcome the way other people bullied her for her looks because of how much he loves her smile. it's so goddamn cute istg
4. Kaguya- the twist with his amnesia was definitely interesting and despite the fact it made him a cheater and he might forget her, yurika didnt waiver. she was set on helping him and even went to the extreme of stabbing herself. their slice of life dates were also extremely cute
5. Snow- it was kind of hard for me to place snow because it felt like yurika had to do so much work compared to him. which yeah thats normal in this game but it felt even more extreme with snows route with him actively avoiding her. i would also argue that she had more chemistry with mom than snow like. like sometimes the interactions with snow were akward. but i did think the love at first sight cliche was really cute and once he did open up the two had a cute shy couple who was been dating for years vibe. snow also gets brownie points for being the only personality (besides the wizard and alice) to actually know whats going on
6. Gretel- i agree with you this route was so gross and uncomfortable. yurika was also extra psychotic and (in his route only) a perfect match for gretel. the only reason he is this low is because at the end its still hard to tell whether gretel sees her as a sister or a romantic partner. there was the whole conflict that if they do get together and it doesnt work out he loses her altogether and it seems he's still trying to hold onto the sister complex. this tells me he doesnt fully trust her even at the end of his route and it irks me
7. Red- the reason this man is at the bottom is because yurika has no boundaries and after seeing red in all routes, not just his, this man is asexual and no one can tell me otherwise
this list actually took longer than usual and i was moving people around as i was writing my reasonings because of how intricate the game is and the fact that their personalities vary depending on the route, including the mc. like i hate the real world yurika and red's yurika but i loved cinderella's and alice's. she was also more extreme in some compared to others which changes the whole game

hi molly! it's been a while since i last commented on your video, i think the last time i commented was on your cinderella phenomenon evermore final thoughts video! i'm still lurking here, i promise, and i still watch your videos but i just don't comment anymore because i only watch your videos after you finish a route (?) if that makes sense, like when you finish kaguya's route and his bad ends for example, i will only watch your videos after you upload all of them!
anyway... idk about the others but i absolutely ADORE this game! this game's been on my mind since day 1! i personally really love fairytales, live happily ever after stuff so this game is right up my alley! and not to mention that ever since you started playing this game, somehow my life is full of alice in wonderland stuff (for example: the game that i was playing had an alice in wonderland event, i played some gashapon and i got 2 alice action figures) like the coincidence is crazy!
i think one of the main reasons why i really love this game is the cgs... like they're so PRETTY! i really like the artsyle and the music pieces too... ugh, so beautiful!
for the guys, i just wanna say, i like my man draped in darkness and as a cat person myself, i really love how the wizard has a black cat "familiar", it's so cute whenever i see the wizard's sprite with the black cat standing on his shoulder! :D and (*cough cough*) I AGREE WITH YOU MOLLY, HE'S SO HOT, hooooo boy (*in sojiro's voice*)
and idk if anybody feels the same as me, i just think red is so adorable and needs to be protected at all costs! i just love how he has wolf ears, that's so cute!
alice... what comes out from his mouth is not as beautiful as his looks but hey, i still love him! xD his insult is just top-tier! english is not my first language so i'm learning quite a whole of new words from him, one of them is nymphoslut... thanks alice!
kaguya... I LOVE HIM TOO, my tragic boy :'( he deserves so much love! ngl, i kinda like his kagu-bear mode too! and i like how he kept giving yurika head pats! that was so precious :( i agree, i think the execution of his fairytale's twist is so clever! and i can't help but keep thinking of kaguya love is war anime whenever i hear his name... and *cough cough* HIS LAST SPICY CG MADE ME FEEL SOME TYPE OF WAY DX
gretel... as much as i hate him, i think he looks pretty... which is a shame...
snow! i think he's so beautiful and regal (i'm sorry snow, i know you hate being called that) i just wanna say, their fist kiss being that yurika just puked... and they kissed after that... in a room full of garbage and a corpse... they just love each other so much that they didn't mind all that.
cinderella, my man! I LOVE HIM, he's such a gentleman! like kaguya, he kept giving yurika head pats too which i like! he's just an awesome man overall :')

I think this is the only game I followed you play since day one! Crazy that its been multiple months since then!
I really liked the ranking although I personally see Alice and Alistair as two different characters! Which is good because that way my tsundere boy Alice gets a Yurika that isn’t lowkey terrible hahah (absolutely agree with your opinion on Real world Yurika, I really hoped the after story would make me understand her but NOPE! I still dunno if she slept with the wizard or not. And I feel like they couldve just made Her love the other personalities platonically instead of making her cheat on everyone)
Also Alice ranks highest for me, and so does his chemistry with Yurika because while Alistair and Yurika were just not good together I’m sorry, Alice and Dream Yurika were absolutely adorable, which is crazy because I was not an Alice fan in the beginning AT ALL!
They also had my favorite kiss scene and my top CG (the rainbow one) though the Wizards CG w yurika on his lap comes close second, and Cinderellas glass slipper CG and bridal carry CG come third!
Gretel is who ranks lowest for me too although I grew to like him because his weird sister shtick and Yandereness was used more comedic thing so that ended up endearing me to him a little! (Its very unfortunate he was like that tho because I really liked him in cinderellas route like wth man 😭)
Kaguya, the wizard and cinderella all rank really high for me too! Theyre awesome and their routes were too, absolutely!
Red and Snow I also really like, but not necessarily that much in their own routes. I love Red to pieces in Snows route, and Snow I loved in Kaguyas route!

What a crazy ride this game turned out to be. Nothing could have prepared me for the amount twists this game dished out - while there were certain characters and moments that left a bitter taste in my mouth (looking at YOU, Gretel and several of the Yurikas -_-), the writing was truly fantastic, and kept me on my toes the entire time. I also really want to commend how well they balanced the darker themes of this game with genuine comedic relief! I really appreciated that duality. It also soothed my inner child to revisit some of these long-loved fairytales in a new light.
hehe not surprised the two narcissist boys ranked so highly for you as well. We were really so close in our lists! And I honestly can't blame you for picking Cinderella over the Wizard. This felt like the perfect way to wrap up this amusement park of a game. I will have to watch the whole thing again (or play it myself) in order to really get an accurate list going but i do want to say this:

Hustle Cat is what started it all for me. And this game maybe me feel that newness and excitement all over again. It means that much to me. And as much as I loved Psychedelicia I couldn't wait for the next route of taisho alice.
The only real complaint i have with this game is that it was difficult to understand at times. Especially in snow's route. But even then it was all part of the mystery of Alice.
Yurika. 😬 While she is manipulative, cunning, and sneaky, I absolutely love her. She doesn't get played, she holds her own, and she goes and gets what she wants. Girl boss all the way. And just like all the boys she is imperfect. And it's because of these flaws that she was able to do what was needed to help these boys, even if it was unsavory. While Yurika definitely tricked everyone and their momma and some point I'm not mad at her for it. She wouldn't be yurika Arisu if she hadn't (although i haven't watched the Alistair afterstory yet so i wonder if my opinion will change lol)

Red riding hood was very sweet and polite too. And really appreciate his dedication to protection (even though it ended up being a lie in his route). When he wasnt being 12 he was being so whole and it just makes my heart melt.
Im sure this will change upon re-watch butvthe rest of the boys go Cinderella, Wizard, Gretel, Snow.
I warmed up to Cinderella A LOT
The wizard, i gotta say i wasn't satisfied with his good endind. Although i love we were engaged to all the boys in his route
Gretel... is Gretel. I would have to be in an extremely weird and Rare (and probably unhealthy) mood to want some Gretel. Not polite at all!
And snow, i don't buy a romance between them at all. And his route i understood the least. I did really like the story aspect though. I feel like his route was when the game really started to open up.

Wow! So thrilled this VN ended up meaning so much to you and gave you that excitement you hadn't felt in a while. That is so wonderful!
For me (sorry if my English is off it's not my mother language, also I tell in advance that I played in Japanese):
1. Kaguya: He's situation is just so sad. Also I liked how they portrayed the suicide tendencies that it's not enough that Yurika tells him that she loves him, his scars are just too deep to be washed away just by words. Also I don't think that the only reason for Yurika to flirt with the other guys was to get the reaction from him I think that it was also for him to understand how much he values her, and that he has something to live for. Also I really love his kansai ben and his Hi san. And the beginning of his route is just a comedy gold. And I really liked how they portrayed the past here, especially the first scene with the mother's funeral. The sound of the rain resonating like the noise which perfectly corresponded with his disrupted memories. Also I really appreciate that even if his route goes pretty dark, I never felt any sense of danger to others from Kaguya himself. His broken yaeh but not violent towards the others in any way, actually I find him really mellow. The diary part is really sweet, with the little drawings. The symbolism of the mask. The overall poetic atmosphere is really captivating. My only complain is that we get almost nothing from Alistair perspective about this period of his life, we don't even see the girl that committed suicide. But I guess that makes sense since there was no Yurika, no Ryoushi and no Ookami with him when this incidents took place. Even though little something would be good. Oh I almost forgot... props for Cinderella's supportive role.
2. Akazukin: I find him cute and funny. Also really helpful and solid especially as a supportive character. But yeah the Yurika master plot really leave the aftertaste in my mouth I would rather prefer the Ookami as the bad guy than the anticlimactic gotcha ending.
3. Gretel: I love how intense his route is, I love the twists, I love the psychology of the characters and I actually like this big mouth of Gretel and yeah part of me wanted to see the rapists burn so I'm actually content that he beat them. I don't mind his neesan fetish, even more since it has it's purpose. His connection to Yurika is the only connection that he values and it's only natural that he's afraid of loosing it. And sorry dear Father in Heaven but I find him sexy and Eguchi Takuya did the excellent job to lead me to this opinion.
4. Alice/Alistair: Alice is super funny. Alistair is a poor boy. This route is the great epilog and really shows how smart the writing is. I also appreciate the bad end, that the game takes in to consideration that Yurika plotting could also ended this way.
5. Cinderella: I like the guy but his route was rather boring at times for me. I like how he is this caring big brother type with the big mouth and his dynamic with Yurika was really natural and funny but... I don't know... I found his plot rather boring or maybe the execution of the plot, dunno...
6. Shirayuki: Boring, boring and boring. I liked the story with Ryoushi and the revelation about the living with the mother's dead body. I like the contrast between his appearance and his a bit rough personality. I like his shame and fear about revealing his dirty self to Yurika. But that's it. I know that the story about the Snow White was about the girl who was sleeping, but do I also have to sleep?
7. Mahoutsukai (sorry): I don't like this route, sorry. I hate the premise that Yurika is engaged to 4 guys and she just leads them by the nose only to drop them in one moment for mahoutsukai (and even he is like wtf You just said that You love them all and suddenly You are head over heels for me what's wrong with You gurl [props for that]). I hate that the real Yurika slept with Mahoutsukai and it doesn't have sense since Alistair is not in the la la land at the moment, so why would she do that? She's suppose to love Alistair so why she did something to traumatize him? It's seems like the only reason is that the writer needed it for later or maybe I didn't catch on something. Also this route is really repetitive. You see exactly the same events just with different perspective. And to be honest the true about the mahoutsuki role in bad ends also doesn't do good for me. Stop killing me!
Yurika: She is well wrote but that doesn't mean I like her. I like some of her alters but not the real one for obvious reasons. Alistair find somebody better, You deserve it xD'
I also appreciate that they took in to consideration differences in the approach towards the DID. The former doctor who wanted to merge all personalities (old perspective) and Ryoushi who is more towards the healthy coexistence of them (present perspective).

If it makes you feel any better, I waited till last night to write my review and lists which I still had to change like many times when I saw which way you went and to remember maybe details, I missed since there were uncertainties with a few my main list didn't change much maybe a few flips. Definitely the top two were painful for me to decide. Let's see how long my computer works may need several parts again. I was honestly nervous how this list but man I don't know how accurate we seem to click like it's like we are psychic like this was not planned! As for my thoughts on Yurika I pretty much said it all the last time she's definitely my worst Mc I personally can't relate to her. But I do agree that she's someone you need to have acquired taste for since there's quite a fanbase for this psycho but as said before I have other Alice Mcs that are better then her and barrable to play as and I am meeting strong willed Mcs like Ichika from Collar x Malice that is smart, knows her limits, stands up for herself and feisty or Cyrus from Steam Prison sure she can get on my nerves but she knows she's not invincible and you get the point.
7.) Gretel (because duh)
I mean we were traumatized after this route and it didn't help we had yanderes in the other game thank God they weren't back-to-back that would have sucked I look back at your Dandelion and Amnesia days like man she was unlucky. And yeah pretty much him and Yurika deserve each other not for my taste per say. And knowing how true this whole crazy plot was to Alistair and one of the factors that made him worst for ware. And I am like you where they need a reason in order to be given a chance and yes they do give us the reason as to why he is doing this but because of his asshole nature because the appeal of the yandere is they have a "sweet" or nice side and a dangerous side. And Gretel's "nice" side sucks and his sister complex like I also don't care if your adopted siblings or not, but he made it so uncomfortable. I guess sometimes his insults were funny but they weren't golden tier either.
6.) Red
Sure it was cute and funny at first with her teasing him and nose bleeding but man did it get old fast! The second-hand embarrassment was real man! And if I'm honest my mind is so vague on this route because that was nearly the only thing I remember as well as that funny bad ending that all of us were rolling in laughter if I think hard enough yes I remember what went down thanks to Snow White's route since it was similar storyline. But if I really have to think of what went down it goes to show how memorable it is but it also was a joy to see him after this whereas with Gretel it was always followed by a sigh or ugh whenever he showed his face. Ryoushi and Woolfe were fun to interact with since it was our first encounter with them. The twists definitely was a sight to behold!
5.) Snow White
So much lore holy cow! It was overwhelming but in a good way. The 7 dwarfs make sense now lol since there's seven of those boys in Alistair. But yeah the romance felt like a side show where as the plot/lore was the main show like they were kind of cute but man did Yurika have to work for this boy and let's be honest this type of guy isn't my thing not by a long shot since I'm not fond of the kuudere trope because there's such a long progress to get into a relationship that I don't have the patience for. It was definitely confusing how to feel about Mother. Like is she nice or mean? But it does go with the fairytale so it works.
4.) Alice
He and my 3 swapped after hearing you and I went yeah that's fair enough. Since after pondering this route when not looking at the flashback scenes which was really the point of this route was learning how the personalities came into being and healing Alistair so he can wake up. We were mostly chasing Alice around the Looking-Glass World yeah it was funny to watch the banter that get switched up to make it fresh but it also was fast paced sure there was the one quiet moment midway through said chase with the ribbon fixing but that's it. And the romance sort of felt shoehorned in there at the end yeah that kiss was awkward and cute and yes they do explain this is Real Yurika's shadow who was in love with Alice but has moved on to the real Alistair but it felt like yeah let's just conveniently give Mc Alice so she's not alone but I kind of let it slide because yeah the story is finally done and everyone is happy.
3.) Wizard
Sorry Molly I get he's hot and I'd be lying if I said he wasn't like he is and he was always a delight to see on screen. But my consciousness can't bring him higher than this he was going to be my fourth but since it is a personal list I let him have the top 3. Least he had something of a fully functional plot unlike Alice where it was rushed. As a lore route it was fantastic we got all the pieces we needed to save Alistair and what these "brothers" really are. But man was it awkward like there really wasn't any other way to put them in the same location other then fiancée I mean we know now how this thing came to be that it took it literally but we are supposed to be flirting with the Wizard because its his route. And it makes it worse that he is so stubborn of not falling in love with this Yurika when they are equally matched in personality. Now in retrospect I really brought the iron hammer on Yurika a little too hard its really the Real Yurika that is the reason we're in this mess especially with him. He unfortunately got the table scrapes of her love and he just didn't deserve that sure she's trying to make up for it since she does care about all of them but he's so knee deep head over heels in love with her. We are still left with uncertainty of how he feels about his Yurika. We pray the fandisk confirms something but if that's what we need that's how you know how weak the romance of a route this is. (sorry for my little rant but this is my feelings and I can't lie and say it bothers me)
These Top 2 were literally gave me so much pain I kept going back and forth these would be tied but to be fair because I love both of them so I went with what my heart told me.
2.) Kaguya
This boy stole my heart like his route was the right amount of funny moments and feels that hit you like a Mack truck like omg this poor guy had a tragic life one after another. Out of all the guys I related to Kaguya the most because I always smile and have a very sunshine exterior but I also am guilty of bottling my feelings out of fear nobody is going to get me. I also have this weird magnetic draw that draws people to me like I had several guys be like I like you and I'm like why (because I honestly don't see my particular personality as anything special) and I genuinely have no clue how to react to when guys come up to me like that. Also he and I called Cinderella Cindy like how I did not plan this! And Cindy fires back with a Missy a nickname for me like I haven't had this weird psychological bond since my days in Blood in Roses with my beloved husbando of that game Jack where we had these moments which was amazing! I did think to make him my number one since it was a whole meal like it was packed with stuff that should warrant a number one but yeah the whole tricking Kaguya didn't make sense other then that Yurika was amazing in this one. One of her best I think she genuinely helped this guy!
1.) Cinderella
Yes I'm basic af in this game like everything was omg I really developed a soft spot for this rich snob and I just laughed at every scene and yeah he and Yurika were on equal footing trying to fool each other in their game and knowing about the other. Sure the problem of the loan sharks was nothing but dust since they got rid of them so quickly. But I really adored their relationship and Cindy having his reality check and doing the right thing that takes a lot of courage of letting the one he loves go so he can be worthy of her. (Also not sure if you went back to look at the scene you didn't see which I'll say what happened instead of getting sick from all that food Yurika decides to invite people and have them eat the food which was a nice way to show Cindy this rather than help her when she's puking her guts out)
And real quick on my other two lists which I'll briefly explain because I need to go to bed soon lol
Chemistry/Romance (Taking both in account)
7.) Red- self explanatory there is none with these two it's just awkward I don't know how Red fell for her if he did
6.) Snow White- Same reason very low key but you can kind of see he has feelings in there by the end but Yurika clearly out the work in more then him
5.) Alice- It's shoehorned it's probably unfair to put just Alice but I've rewritten these several times I want this over with lol
4.) Gretel- They just deserve each other though sometimes its hard to tell if he still see's her as still his sister or future wife since he still calls her that but is working on saying her name so progress???
3.) Wizard- Definitely have the Chemistry but the romance is why he's here like we hope he likes her but nobody's giving concrete evidence since he doesn't want to say what's in his mind
2.) Kaguya- He kinda stubbles sometimes to keep up with her but he grows accustomed and the whole testing bit was dumb. Other than that I see a future for these two down the road when he figures out how to handle his new possessiveness because we have a Dark Kagu-bear that escapes sometimes
1.) Cinderella- Perfect Match! And what the Wizard's route should have strived for but oh well!
Route Ranking (In terms of advancing the overall plot)
7.) Cinderella- It was minor in the grander scheme of things like it would have worked fine as an episodic which is how I felt for the first two episodes
6.) Red- We do see some underlying of what happened but its kind of buried because of the "finding out the blackmailer" plotline
5.) Kaguya- There was so much heavy stuff since this is really where major stuff happens to Alistair him and 4 could be tied but I'm too far in and because of Kaguya's amnesia it made it unrelable source yes we learn what went down but I guess it goes with what gaps Alistair has in this period because Kaguya got most of it
4.) Gretel- It was quite the seemingly normal as yandere routes go of how accurate these events really were the jaw just dropped in shock like damn that really happened good lord!
These next three were hard but I did my best of being fair but they can be interchangeable.
3.) Alice- Yes its the wrap this game and should be on top but it just reaffirmed what we already knew from the next two I'll be ranking and yeah we see how they were created and the conclusion to it.
2.) Snow White- so much info about the Looking Glass World and how it works the connection with the lake being another mirror and it gave a better sense of the Red stuff that weren't quite clear but you could tell there's some difference between him and Red.
1.) Wizard- Yeah Mr. Wizard you got a number 1 in something *claps* This was lore heaven like pretty much everything was revealed in this route of all the missing pieces we needed. We also get the first insight of what the Real Yurika is like and how his role came to be and where his black cat comes from.
Phew that was a lot of work! Can't wait to start the new games (I unfortunately never got around to getting a little look around at POTAH so guess we start at the same time and I'll explain tomorrow what I've gathered)

I also agree that poor Red didn’t deserve all he was put through. The poor guy was a bundle o’ nerves n Yurika should o’ been more respectful o’ his personal boundaries. (It was kinda funny, though, [in maybe a cold way, n I sorta feel bad for sayin this] the way he seemed to just about misinterpret EVERYTHING as racy. 😛)
Alice/Alistair’s story was…I’m not even sure how to describe it, wid the backstory we learned as time went on, the whole thing about how all the other dudes were essentially him, just in his Mind. :O I also found his opening personality, in the first few meetings hilarious: I loved the snarkasm he displayed to Yurika when they 1st met. :D
I thought Snow was done well by the writer(s) o’ this game, but don’t really have much to say other than that. But the thing ya said about how he n Yurika were a couple the entire time, not just at the end made me think o’ this awesome meme I saw, re: the Prince-
“Finds a random corpse in the forest.
Kisses it.” Indeed, that is kinda weird, when ya get right down to it. XD
Can’t really say much other than what ya said yourself on Cind’s route. Other than I loved that “I’m not your ‘mate’, bro!” comment hearkening back for me to the exchange from C14 Dating that I’d said about before.
Wizard was awesome in that his thing wid the opening as I said reminded me o’ old-school film noirs, the hardboiled detectives in trench coats n that kinda thing; he was in fact lookin exactly like that in the start o’ his route. Noir is lone o’ my fave genres o’-well, anything really. Books, TV, games, movies, ya name it. So that owned.
I’m not entirely sure I can actually make a rankings list for everyone in this game. I just know that, again, Gretel is ABSOLUTE ZERO n Kag was best.
Like I said before, the poor dude DID NOT deserve all he’d been put through as a kid. 😤 No one does. Were it in my power, I’d give him 50 pizzas n a beer, since he had the most horrifically heinous kinda childhood I’ve ever heard o’ in fiction. He was a Good man, n should o’ been shown kindness for it. I also dig the Cockney accent ya did for him; ya did really well on that. :)

It is really hard to do a ranking for everybody but looks like you have your definite *dead* last and #1 figured out, so thanks for sharing that as well as your thoughts on all the characters too. It was great reading through all that! ^_^
I just...Unfortunately sometimes hyper specific stuff can absolutely ruin games for me. And this game pulled one of those. If I were to rank them from worst to best...
Gretel. I mean I skipped it. XD
Alice. I just...why? Its of no fault of his at all, but if youre telling me he still falls for her and loves her after all this borderline torture? Bah.
Red. Not a bad route, but it involves a lot of tropes Im just not fond of.
Snow White. He is rather cold the whole time, and it started to delve into the overall story which just...I'll get to it.
Wizard. So...I dont blame the guy. Im not fond of the forceful kiss scene, or hurting Alistair. And he really gets done dirty by Yurika.
Kaguya. My biggest gripe here is all of the you should never do that to someone thats struggling with that kind of issue things Yurika does to Kaguya.

So heres the thing. The DiD thing is interesting. Having the personalities live in their own fairy tale worlds is a bit sad in my opinion, only because all the guys deep down know its not "real". Some of the Yurika's do too. The thing that I just cant get over is real Yurika. Its really confusing whether she actually slept with Wizard or not, even so she went around just doing basically whatever she wanted consequences be damned, and inflicted actual harm and trauma on Alistair and Wizard at the very least. Communication do you know it? So just because the overarching story ends up just to get Alistair and real Yurika together, thats a huge thumbs down from me. I dont think Ive hated an MC more. I dont know if youve ever had a moment like Alistair's bathroom freak out scene, where you just feel used and betrayed, but it SUCKS. And I wouldnt wish it on anyone.
So to be honest, at the end of the day, Id just pack away the Cinderella route and forget the rest overall. :( Which sucks cause the game did have promise through most of it.
Totally valid thoughts and feelings here. I can definitely see why you'd feel that way and I agree with your opinions here. I am personally surprised Wizard ended up ranking as high for you as he did. :O And hey, I can't find any fault with taking Cinderella's route and forgetting the rest. That first route was great and I have no issues with that one either. ^^

my fav boys & routes are basically in the same order, though i cant decide between some of them, so i did cheat a bit with my ranking. anyways, that's my list: 1. that one's easy, it's precious baby brother Gretel of course xD besides just loving this crazy boy, i really liked how this route was structured. normally i'm used to the ~yandere-ness level~ developing as the route proceeds, so it was fun to see that we got hit with it already in the beginning. loved the amnesia & retrospections a lot too, it kept me very invested in this route. btw i felt like a clown for not realizing that Gretel will have some sibling stuff going on, considering he's based off Hansel & Gretel. i mean. that's so obvious, idk why i was even surprised when his sister kink showed up xD
2. so here i'm torn between Alice and Snow. Alice (and Gretel) was the one that kept me interested in the game (at the beginning) when i wasn't sure if i want to watch it. but i was just so curious about him and his insults were too funny. I'm not much into tsundere characters, but i really adore him. Snow on the other hand was someone i wasnt interested in at all, until it came to his route. i loved this route and his character,even though everything was so dark and traumatizing (i still dont feel comfortable about apple pie haha). well, Alice's route wasn't an easy one as well. so yeah, i can’t decide between those two. Alice may be a little bit higher, since i liked his character from the beginning, but overall both of those routes were fantastic.
3. here again i am torn - between Wizard and Cinderella. so when it comes to the character i like more, it's Cinderella. but the routes - that's harder to decide. like i mentioned before, i wasnt entirely sure if i want to watch this gameplay, and since Cinderella was the 1st guy, i felt a bit meh about him at the beginning. but, over time he actually really grew onto me. and his route is way lighter then the other ones, Yurika is also more likeable here, so i think i'll rank Cinderella higher. Wizard isn't my type, but his route was definitely more interesting & explained a lot of things, so route wise i'd rank Wizard higher. especially since we had our harem life and there were some funny dialogues in it, so it was a nice refresh after all the darkness and trauma in previous routes... ofc until Wizard's route started to progress, but that aside xD
4. Red - i hated his route haha, wasnt able to finish it & just skipped through the last videos. but it's not Red's fault, it's Yurika's. i just really disliked her here and this route made me super uncomfortable. I liked Red's character in the next routes that came after his, but his route is just a total miss.
5. Kaguya - both the route & character were very meh to me. idk why tbh, but i just don’t care about Kaguya at all? i also only briefly watched this route, because i wasnt able to get invested inti it. maybe the game developers crushed my hopes for a nice butler route haha. i still don’t understand why Kaguya was Yurika's butler in Cinderella's route (i dont know Kaguya's fairy tale) , but oh well. once again, no nice butler route for me - disappointed but not surprised xD
An honorable mention goes to Ryoushi (not included in my list, since he's an NPC 🥹) - i HATED him in Gretel's route. well, no surprise, since i love Gretel, and Gretel hates Ryoushi, so my view of him was very affected by this... and the whole "i know that Gretel overdoses his meds but lol whatever, yolo" situation that was going on... or at least this is how it was portrayed / how i understood it definitely didn't add any good points to Ryoushi xD but then in Snow's route i fell in love with this guy. he's caring and definitely not "lol whatever" and i'm so happy that he helped Snow out, and later Alice as well, unlike a certain doctor that got bored when his "experiment" failed 🙄
Okaaay, this is a looong comment. i'll end it with my two fav quotes: "Do I look okay to you? Unlike you, I prefer brains over brwan. I'm a deep thinker, an intellectual genius. And as such, i'm very delicate! I'm gonna die, i need air!" (i relate to this so much xD) and "Detective, do you like to drink your tea through osmosis?" (yandere-ness at it's perfect level + this also gave me Tei feels. i do love me some tea being used in questionable ways xD). + there was also this quote about Yurika saying that she ineed is a nymphoslut, loved this one as well, but i feel kinda weird about it after the ~cheating revelations~ from the previous video xD
I know! It's hard to choose between some of them, so don't blame you at all for cheating a bit on your rankings. Your ranking of Gretel as number 1 though I can't forgive. ;D lolol jkjkjk! xD
