- Somalia authorities have over the past week been dealing with yet another mass displacement of people as conflict raged in las-anod following intensified confrontation between Somaliland forces and s-s-c militias. The problem in las anod is that the clans have disagreed on which side to pay allegiance to. Security experts fear that the problem may distract authorities from fighting Al-Shabaab, allowing the terrorists to infiltrate the area. Here's a report about what's happening in Somaliland.

The dervishes lost many years before independence. There's no regoin called Cayn. It's only sool, sanaag and togdheer which Dhulbahante or share with other clans and are minorities in togdheer and sanaag. Just talk about sool which you share with other clans also. But, here's the thing, nobody, not even the United Nations, recognize it as a legit country. But, the people living there, they're super proud and feel like it's their own country, you gotta respect that. But, real talk, Somalia is a hot mess, so we should probably focus on fixing that before we start worrying about Somaliland. And, just so you know, I'm Somali too, my friend.
