@@DoomKid Great playthrough, man!! I wasn’t expecting that the map would kill you that much. I had two goals in mind when I thought about how to make the map: 1) make a map that could be difficult but with few monsters, and 2) not give the player too much ammo in order to go looking for secrets. Guess I'll have to make them more visible, because it's the second playthrough I've watched and the player doesn't find any of the seven secrets. There is a giant secret accessible through the kitchen window that you can only get after picking up the yellow key and before using the red key, which leads to two environments inspired by episodes of Twin Peaks. There you can pick up a lot of interesting items. If you're not interested in playing again, I highly suggest you to watch Sandwedge playthrough. He managed to find almost all the secrets, and broke through the real Mauve Zone hidden on the map! Thank you so much for playing! I’ll take all your comments into consideration and update the map with more visible secrets and maybe more ammo.
@@uh.theroyalwe I’ll go and find those secrets later today.. I play a lot worse with company, even though I find it fun - I might be able to spot them on my own!
You can always tell if a map is going to be hard by how ridiculous it's name is. The word 'Iniquitous' roughly translates to 'Your arse is about to be kicked verily'.
Every time the developer opts for "Vanilla" but requires GZDoom and yet bleats that tired refrain of no special movement effects, I just remember that scene in Escape From L.A. where Snake Plissken hears everything that's disallowed in L.A. (which isn't far from the truth even before that movie was released), and he just goes, "Land of the Free." Fuck Mauve Zone. Never play whatever eats up more sanity than patience.
A lot of what it did worked for me, although a lot also didn't - I would have preferred it a little less mean I must admit. I also can't blame the author for targeting UDMF/GZDoom. Although it was fairly limited, there were a fair few effects in this map that really couldn't be done in other formats (the strangely-scaled Fireblu battle in particular). Although it wasn't really my cup of tea, I have to appreciate the effort, and I've definitely played far more exhausting stuff. I gotta give it a pass, all in all!
Wow! Thanks for featuring my map! Good to see that the fixes made it more enjoyable. Thanks to the playtesters!
You did a damn good job with your map!
Biodegradable's laughing after the face-rocketing death was utterly hilarious!
Oh god! I’m waiting forward to this!
Fun map! Kicked my butt a lot, but did a lot of really cool and cute things too - great job!

It's nice to see something creative from Doom 2 Textures alone..
Agreed, they're very well used

LOL. This is a good rule of thumb!
I really like how the sky looks on iniquitous fortress, very pretty colour combinations to me
