Jones is obviously incredible (and that accent..wow), but the gun store owner is one of the best small side across I've ever seen. This feels more like a documentary than a movie, the acting is that natural and believable.
so creepy when the gun shop owner asked martin for a license and then martin said he didn't have one. you could tell things were going to be bad
This was the most terrifying scene in the entire film for me. Way too easy for him to get his hands on a gun
it's still very easy, I have firearms. Australians just dont do mass shootings, there are more guns im Australia then there has ever been.
It’s amazing how confidently people in comments will speak on things they clearly know very little about.
People dont actually know that the gun he used was once a police firearm. It was handed into the victorian government in 1987 in the amnesty they had. It went dark, made its way into tasmania were it ended up in the hands of terry hill, were martin bryant purchased it from. He then went on to commit April 28th, 1996.
Fricken conspiracy theorists are coming out of the forests
He points it at the man that was turned the other way before pointing at the merchant.
Edit: just realized that "man turned the other way" was a mannequin😂
What astounds me about the real life incident is that the perpetrator of this monstrous crime went from having NEVER touched a gun in his life, to being an absolute, professional Marksman shooting and killing people with pinpoint accuracy while being under extreme stress the whole time.
It's not that hard to shoot a gun, idiot. Any old retard can do it. Probably even youif you rustled all those brain cells together and got them working in sync
@@LongDeathBlueNeck He managed to control a high powered rifle and killed 19 out of 20 people with head and neck shots. This was also in a cafe with a panicking crowd. Relax.
True, but he had plenty of target-practice during his time on a friend's 72-acre farm.
Neighbors recall that he always carried an airgun on him, and he would shoot tourists stopping nearby or shoot dogs while roaming the property at night.
You don’t have to be a crack shot to kill with these sort of weapons.
Any hit and you’ll bleed to death in no time.
2021 or 2022 release date
Seems like an illegal purchase but what do I know, I’m American.
@@Dont_uploadevery state required that you had to go to a police station and get a license even Tasmania, pistols were heavily regulated even back then, most states had ban lists for particular firearms which were usually military styled or had pistol grips, WA had bans on high powered semi automatics, ACT and Victoria banned semi autos altogether in the years leading up to 1996. We had laws some tighter than others it’s just that the level of trust in our society was so high that the cops barely ever bothered to seriously enforce them until one guy did the unthinkable.
@@r0man767 Remember that you, the people, decide how much of your rights your government can take from you. Is alcohol still legal to purchase in Australia? if so, do you need to get an alcohol license and register every bottle of liquor or case of beer your purchase? Just food for thought.
Not quite right on victoria which still allowed .22 semi auto. All states allowed semi auto .22 prior to 96.
Is there actually any ( real) video footage of him inside the gunship purchasing these weapons, and conversing with the owner?
It's just speculation otherwise.
There isn't any footage only testimony but what's critical is the fact that the guy who originally sold Bryant his guns believes it wasn't him because he would frequently go to the shop to have them disassembled after getting the wrong sized mags stuck in his AR.
Nah man this was a camping store on Elizabeth st. Hobart Town. Dude had guns on the walls and camping equipment everywhere. It was more of a camping store. Not so gun hoe as the movie portrays. Fuck man never that man guns out the back of that store. It’s a UK glorification of Hobart.
No cause only bought a f.a.l
The ar15 he had was somehow registered to a tazzie police station at a gun buy back
This is a movie now.
Remember Australia when you could do this. They used to sell semi-auto rifles next to the cricket gear in my local sports shop.
Only the Police,Military and terrorist forces can use these weapons. These gave no place in civilian hands 🙌
then the fascist took over
@@Biggle_PeePeesooooo you're basically fair game if anything was to kick off
