The tanker carries 20 cans of fuel (its own fuel capacity). Thats the purpose, it can carry a lot of fuel. Empty its tank, with just a little to get you around, and gather fuel from all those sources. Great find!

When you are building a wall connected to a building, make sure the entrance to the building is on the "inside" of your walls so the infected can't run into them when the sun comes up.
It doesn’t bother me that they can get in there. They are easier to managed with focused multi-squad forces into buildings anyway. Wall positioning is more important to me than where the doors are

I guess the benefit of the tanker is being able to have 20 fuel in its' tank compared to 3, and with the new 'transfer fuel' functionality you can use it to top up cars out in the field
I think the fuel trucks have a lot more health so good for ramming infected. And sending a squad out to all those detached garages for fuel gathering. And you can unload the fuel truck into your HQ.
Just FYI, if you want to select any number of squads - you can click on their line in the squads menu (top right) - hold control to select multiple together (kind of like drawing the "box" around them) - I find it easier to select them this way if they overlap on the map. Awesome videos!

You may already know this, but I have not seen you do it so here you go. For the wounded people in your squads, if you have med kits in your warehouse or HQ. You can have the squad interact with the building, and drag a med kit to the wounded people to heal them.
BTW, you've got me hooked on this game. I think you're doing a great job. I'd like to see the devs fix/address some of the issues you've brought up but I think I could deal with them. I'm a bit busy right now to pick up a new game but this one is now at the top of my list!!
I wouldn't do anything too different, but probably I'd try to place the towers three at a time, in the shape of a triangle, one covering the other. I'd also build one or two layers of wall around the towers to give them a little more durability. And with no doubt I'd leave the most powerful weapons in the towers, and the pistols with the squads.
Love this new wall and how its turning out and super excited to see how it holds up. If the theory works out theres going to be a huge decreaase in also trying to figure out where exactly the dead attacked and update walls!
So excited for the release. The game just looks like if someone made an I Am Legends mod for company of heroes 😂 hoping they add more in terms of building, researching, and defences
I want to buy this game and play too but I dont know if I have the Charlie Zombie Drive in me. Can't wait to see how this plays out this time, maybe with enough kill zone and walls you can play it as a more traditional defense ?
Don't forget the issue you had with buildings on streets and their entrances being behind the walls. I think it was a warehouse. You may want to extend the wall line to the other side of the street and use those buildings as part of the wall line or create little wall bubbles so the vehicles can get to the entrances for the buildings. May not be an issue for a barn or cookhouse/etc though.
You can give the driver (leftmost in the squad) a gun, and the others in the squad assault rifles for a little more range and quicker shots. Don't know how/if it affects accuracy and ammo usage though.
You should be able to garrison into tall buildings to shoot over your wall if you need to. Unless they changed it since i last watched this game be played. I also wonder if Gregory howard is the guy the weird guy said he was talking to in your last play through.
You can shoot through a wall standing on the ground. You don't need to be tall to look over it with your squad. Brick walls are effectively lines drawn on the ground they cannot cross until they damage it enough. - Buildings have height, so that impacts sight lines.
Ah. Yeah. I just kept seeing you have your units running past your controlled buildings (which keep the infected from just walking in through the front door) but i suppose that your saving building materials by not having to repair them all the time. Cant wait to play this game myself.
you can place the towers out as bait to draw infected before they get to your base and then just put them in their own little wall around them or even put a double wall around them, if you wanted to make a really strong little outpost you could put like 2 or 4 or whatever towers in a clump and wall them in, if you put one of these clumps in each of the cardinal directions would that attract infected and keep them from ever going to your base?
@@Fjleon7 their steam page said there will be a 10% discount on release so I don't think it will be free to play, and with it releasing into early access I'd imagine 20-30 bucks but not I haven't seen a price listed yet.
Since you are attaching walls to buildings, does that mean if you use only half of the building that is not on the wall side, that the infected won’t attack the building? Or they will attack any building in use regardless of where the green side is?
WOO THE TANKER YOU CAN STORE 20 FUEL BY FUELING CARS WITH THE TANKER! AMAZING! IF YOU SAW...THE FUEL IN THE TANKER GOT FILLED UP WHEN YOU LOOTED THE FUEL
Charlie check the gates how its made. Place Towers first to cover Area of Defence and Detection then attach walls, i believe its better this way. Build Towers in Walls ... Keep it up!!!
Building towers as part of the wall would be less effective. The swarm would attack the tower, and kill it, and then there's a more expensive gap to fill afterwards. Repairing a brick wall is 7 bricks. Rebuilding a tower is 5 wood and 15 metal. Way easier to rebuild the wall. Yes, the tower has more HP, but it's a small surface area, and you still have to repair it. Those that don't have enough room to attack the tower, because there's no room to get to it, will attack the walls next to it anyways.
I just noticed the fuel capacity on the cars is 3(?) and the capacity on the tanker truck is 20..?? It would be the vehicle of choice for an expedition maybe?
@@CharliePryor So later in the video I heard you say you can transfer fuel from the tanker to other vehicles so it's just a large mobile fuel score! I hope the "sound" issue gets resolved soon.
The part where your losing firing power in cars is you basically never stop a car. You always move them out of firing range and thats also why you keep losing agro. Its out of range and before they get in range your already moving it.
But I'm not losing firing power. The car stops regularly and it consistently shoots upon stopping. There is already a lag-time/cooldown between shots for all your units. You can move during that cooldown. If I had the guns sitting in some building, they'd be out of range most of the engagement anyways, until I brought them in. I get to shoot them before AND during them being brought in now.
