I’ve long been fascinated by the overlap between tessellations in origami and how they could be done in fabric. What’s really interesting here is the technique - quite different but with the same result. I never quite managed to get it to work properly, and now I know why. I’m going to try again to display paper and fabric side by side.
Hi Jean I tend to experiment making samples all the time like this one...entirely up to you what you would do with this sort of sample. However, I would like to see this sort of design used in interiors or incorporated in fashion😀
Hi there no idea what size my needle was but I tend to use a thin pointed one and usually I would've used upholstery thread which I get from amazon. thanks for watching!
Hi dear I'm a fashion designer and I could see this technique on a sleeve or skirt panel of even a shirt but I just don't know how much extra fabric I should use for it. Maybe I should just make this in a big peice of fabric then cut out the pattern I need 🤔
