Why Alan say Embiid is compromised? He didn't see Embiid in the 4th qtr on offense and defense. He's still getting in condition and the heat zone is tough to crack. But he and Nick Nurse figured it out in time. He's only going to get better as he gets more games in.

I love Jimmy, and I hope that he recovers well. However, I also hope that Heat fans are now realizing that he isn't going to lead their team to a championship any time soon. He is 34 years old now, has not been consistently healthy for the last several years (especially the past 2), and he's on a massive contract. His coasting during the regular season is part of why they've ended up in the play-in for the past 2 years; his elevation in the playoffs may justify that, but that still makes their road to success harder. He and Tyler Herro are their main/only sources of shot creation, which is part of why their offense sucks. It feels like they rely on Jimmy too much to get it done because nobody else on the roster is good enough or consistent enough as a second option. In both of their Finals runs, they partially benefited from better teams like the Bucks and Celtics underperforming; Miami lost both Finals appearances against better teams that actually played up to their level. Pat Riley needs to think long and hard about whether or not this team is worth continuing on with.
Expecting an 8th seed Cinderella success story, every year, is beyond moronic. Hiding behind the phrases "heat culture" and "Playoff Jimmy" is just as moronic.
This team will never win a chip, they had 2 chances and blew them. They'll be lucky to even make it back to the finals with this roster, let alone win.

The sixers took 5 more shots in the restricted area where you are most likely to get fouled.
