I have made around ten of these so far and I love this pattern. The zipper end is definitely the hardest part but its doable. Love watching how others do it too. Great video.
Love the camera placement on your videos, especially sewing the end zipper part 😬 your videos are awesome. So glad I happened up on you and I did subscribe ❤
I bought this pattern and look forward to making it, but after watching tutorials, there is some anxiety although I am probably an intermediate sewist. Your work arounds on the 'fiddly' parts are very helpful and I am looking forward to starting this pattern. All of the videos I have watched have been helpful with tips, and I especially like the variety of fabric choices. A versatile and very usable project. Where do you buy patterned cork? Thanks for such a nice video and highlighting the more challenging parts. Well done
Hi Diane, congratulations! You'll love it! I have the right zipper foot on most of the time. I believe the needle I have in is a 18 or 20 and I mostly use Tex 45, sometimes Tex 70. I get most of my thread from siahswagbags.com
@@jeanniesdesigns5295 thanks for replying. Right now I have a size 18 needle in and using Siah's Tex 45 for an NCW. I have the leather foot on and I'm waiting for the narrow foot to come in which was on back order. I have Siah's Tex 70 on order too-should be in today. I think I'm on the right track. So exciting, but also nerve racking to learn a new machine.
I honestly don't remember, but here is a similar one. www.qualitysewing.com/zipper-jig-gypsy-purple.html?matchtype=&keyword=&gclid=CjwKCAiAleOeBhBdEiwAfgmXf39HGFprgaYHjyE4Hm2TWNNN5qQAcQWDEBj6ALvHVw_laxn4t2kQlBoCBmwQAvD_BwE

Hi Mary, my husband did that for me... just some cheap wall stuff from home depot, screwed into the wall and then hooks where I wanted them... Love it

Thank you so much! Yes, definitely, probably a thinner leather!
I just got my Sailrite Fabricator set up yesterday. May I ask what size needle and thread you are using and what foot you have on?
