That shot of Switchblade and Thunderhawk going over the camera (worms eye view going through the canyon) was awesome. Same with Rex shooting down Thunderhawk.
Man I freakin' loved this show in the 80's. This was my absolute most favorite cartoon series, and I had a ton of these toys. Now I'm seeing some of them go for $100, $200 even $500+ on eBay, and I don't have a single one of them anymore. Sucks. Now I'm getting my 8 year old son interested in these shows. I just wish he had some of the toys to play with.
Maybe you'll see this or maybe you won't. Yeah, I made the unfortunate mistake of selling mine a long time ago. I was thinking of getting some again like the adventure packs. I actually a few weeks ago bought The Collector on Ebay for about 40 bucks. It's complete and good condition.
People like to complain about the stupidity of Scott and T-Bot. But when a metal-munching insect appears, that robot knows it is time to Get Out Of Town (not so stupid after all)!
Just read the background of how Matt Tracker started MASK. He actually had a brother named Andy who was killed by Meyhem. Pretty interesting since there was never an origin episode or mentioning Scott's mother.
The earliest toys came with small comic books which told the origin story. This was later elaborated on in the regular comics series, which explained that Scott Trakker was actually adopted by Matt. Matt Trakker has never been married.
@@CarenConner there’s a couple of episodes that could have Made an excellent season finale(1) the roteks(2) the ultimate weapon(3) ep63 the gate of darkness(4) ep12 Solaria park(5) episode 29 a matter of gravity would have been the best one to use in my view!!
One of my favorite MASK episodes. The usual sci-fi/tech stuff, plus the creepy Roteks (reminiscent of Stephen King novels). Stargate SG-1 had a couple of episodes featuring hungry bugs which look/function *exactly* like the Roteks in this episode! I imagine at least one of the SG1 writers were inspired by this cartoon! Or maybe there is an older common origin? I also vaguely remember an episode of the classic Transformers animated series with a similar adversary... or maybe my memory is bad?
The cartoon series was great half of the time. I like the episodes with the Hanna Barbara SFX and the cartoons look sharp. I don't like the ones with the anime Japanese SFX with the cartoons looking a bit blurry. I believe this cartoon series used at least 2 different cartoon factories during its run.
Cartoon factories? The term is animation studios. M.A.S.K. was entirely animated in Japan by several studios, because of this a wide array of sound effects are often used. Ranging from common American SFX to Japanese ones.
Hondo MacLean, He Got That Line, From Kermit, The Frog in The Episode "Six To Eight Weeks" When Fozzie Bear Explained What People Do With Cereal Box Tops. He Tilted His Head To One Side, and He Said: "You Know, It's Kind of Scary, But I Think I Almost Understood That!"

Holy shit, I think I have some of them somewhere. Possibly, I remember throwing away a lot of shit....
@@infinitesimotel you threw them out? Smh sheesh

I HAD THIS EPISODE ON VHS!!!! ICONIC!!!
Ditto! Had that episode with the Statue of Liberty episode also I think.
For me it was roteks and death stone on vhs in the uk
I hate it when I'm at the library and M.A.S.K calls me for a mission!
It’s better than when they call when you’re in the shower.
You would be the center of attention at the library
Rest in peace Brendan Mc Kane, thank you for the memories of our child hood! 😢
It seems like every time Brad gets called for a mission he's tuning a guitar and a string breaks Never fails
Quite the goverment invention of metal-eating insects. Good stuff w/Alex & the rest helping. Thanks for this.
Dagger: I think the ro-techs give ol’ Rex the creepy crawlies.
Rex:...Shut up, Dagger..
They're VENOM's respective answers to Thundercracker and Starscream.
Except Thunder cracker is a lot smarter than Cliff dagger.
What ever happened to dagger ? He wasn’t in season 2??
Brad was smart enough to stay in the air while his teammates' vehicles ended up on the Roteks' plates.
He and Matt were the only ones with airborne vehicles. The rest of the team didn't have that option.
Eventually both airborne vehicles were on the ground being eaten
M.A.S.K is my childhood dream
One of the most memorable episode for me.
Awww man.... Poor Thunderhawk >.<
Still was nice to hear it's V8 giving it the beans before the crash
hahaaah :D

This one is really good. Plot. Animation. Action. Dialogue. All great. Shame they weren’t all like this
dont let michael bay get hands on this
jesus the roteks were like something out of a horror film.this episode would have been brilliant to have as a season finale episode
If not series finale

Who the fuck sets down and barbecue's?
Yeah. What athletic man sits to BBQ? Not even in the 50s did grillers sit
The kid who provided Scott's voice, his brother is singer Robin Thicke.
Really? Never knew that.
That means his dad is actor Alan Thicke from Growing Pains. That probably helped land him the gig
His name is Brennan.
The computer picks the SAME M.A.S.K. agents every time.... *grin*
Actually it doesn't. It does have favorites.
No Gloria this episode.
ah but last episode it didnt pick bruce sato lol
I have noticed that Gloria is usually only called when Vannessa Warfield is working with Venom. As it is usually on Rax and Dagger.
Dusty wasn't in this episode either.
How do the ro teks eat electrical wires with juice going through it and not be electrocuted?
Amazing story!!!!
J:Kenzo's "The Roteks" track sample source.
I would like to see the Roteks cameo on Transformers.
They used a similar concept in the Transformers comic books, where it was a plague of miniature metal eating robots called Scraplets.
The Rotex could be the offsprings of those Insecticons.
It might not last too long after the Dinobots get flea collars.
Matt not only translates Bruce but Alex, too

Why is Matt sitting down while BAR B Q ing? Who does that? 😂
Guys who sit down to pee
😄😄
this cartoon is the shit!!!
Did anyone notice that the first shot of the team gather together showed Matt dressed for Rhino not Thunderhawk.
NO I DIDN'T BUT ON REWIND YOUR RIGHT COOL MAN
Actually, yes. I had to go back to see if I really saw it.
Also the voice gives codename rhino to two different people and firecracker to two other people.
5:07
Sounds like Fran Drescher (Nanny) or Janice (Friends)
What a night for knight 1969
Where's episode 7?
What does PNA stand for?
Peaceful Nations Alliance. It's basically the cartoon version of the UN I think.
More or less, yeah.
never see that coming
What does PNA stand for? #🤔
Peacefull Nations Alliance, one of the UN divisions.
First man i see bbqing on a chair..
Poor Tbob
nice
Surely if they can bite through metal, they would easily bite the Mask guys as soon as they picked them up?
Suits are polymer. It probably tastes bad to the bugs.
16:48 matt attempted murder of cliff dagger
Different voice actor for tbob
Interesting. The voice selecting the best personel for that mission makes a mistake of designating two people as "rhino" and two as "firecracker"
Rhino and Firecracker are the vehicles they drive
@@chriskelley8788 ah ok that makes sense. I thought t it was the agents codenames
t bop i hear you
Weird episode.. animation everything.
are you joking?
