I think I touched on that in my Package video on outdated functionality. You really don't need it due to the 3D dragger and ability to use CTRL & ALT to move the component in the Graphics Area.

Very useful! This is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't know it was in the component parameters. Now I just have to figure out how to drive it by relations instead of using a family table so I can keep my server cleaner. Would a notebook work?

Yes, this can be driven both by Relations and Notebooks.
