Starting to think maybe Forever Knight was in over its head on the moral implications of policing, vampires, and perhaps even things.

I mean true, but like, isn't that most media about police? Or vampires (or things)?
The split of fiction and reality, where in the show a cop actually regrets killing someone.

Whew! I'm so glad there were some wigs in this episode. I was starting to go through withdrawl. No wigs, top hats, or ridiculous mustaches. If it wasn't for Schanke's sideburns I don't know what I would have done until now.

I like that Nick paused before denying killing anyone in the line of duty to make sure none of his killings were on record. Sure he killed a lot of people. But was it verifiable line of duty?
Of all the people you killed, were any of them in the line of duty?
It was bad that he murdered Alexandra the first time, but then she became undead. When you kill an undead person, it's a negative murder. So now he's completely in the clear

Odd generation now that people either watch video on ridiculously huge TV screens hung on a wall, or watch video on tiny screens the size of their open hand. There seems to be no in between anymore.

Yeah Nick needed to take the L for this one I was annoyed when Nick wouldn't take responsibility for killing her and not even apologizing, if it was Angel from the Buffyverse or Stefan from The Vampire Diaries or Bill from True Blood or any other stereotypical good guy vampire they would have taken responsibility for this action and would have apologized but for some reason Nick here won't

Nick's more a serial killer than a mass murderer.
While fair, he is centuries old....so at what number does it start being Mass Murder? Probably the amount he'd need after multiple centuries of life.

You sure bring up a good point here. FK's table full of unanswered questions is already looking so shaky. I kind of like that, though, it feels more natural to have some loose threads throughout the story, just like life. And though I hate this part, it rhymes with the main message of the point of the episode. Some questions absolutely do need answered.

3:24-31: I should stop watching now, so I can imagine Nick was going to help the accomplice get revenge on his friend's murderer (instead of protecting the child-murderer).
One in the "Forever Knight" version of what being a vampire is like isn't being a vampire f'ing cool apart from about half of Nick's existence seen he decided he didn't like killing innocents, so why would Alexandra be after revenge when Nick got her the promotion, unless she's after revenge because he left her dead dead and didn't turn her when he killed her? Two it is possible that when the production set up a season 2 arc for the police captain they hadn't had the memo that he wouldn't be a character continuing into season 2

How does this keep happening? Why does this keep happening? Who does this keep happening? When does this keep happening? What does this keep happening? Is this just 'The Forever Knight, And Nothing Else' channel now? Like...I'm gonna keep watching even if that's the case. Forever Knight, for all it's cheesyness, is a pretty compelling story. But have we considered the ramifications for Bobby Duke? What's his backstory, if this is now a channel dedicated to Forever Knight and similar properties? Is Bobby Duke now a vampire Mildred came up with while very high on marijuana edibles?
