I'm really glad to see another half Asian half white person who doesn't speak the "Asian" language! I never really tried to learn Korean (i know more mandarin due to school lol) and i still feel really self-conscious of it now. I'm happy to see someone so proud in our identity be similar to me!!

There's a book called "Everything I never told you" about this Asian-American family in Ohio in the 1970s. (Its mostly about their daughter's mysterious death but) it's really good and the audio book is on youtube.

Musicians and others in the fine arts industry have it really hard growing up. Adults don't really take that kind of stuff serious coming from their children. A lot of the times parents try to force their children into a path of least resistance and don't support or even try to stop them from taking risk at careers in the arts. You are not alone, trust me😺✌️

I first heard of subtle Asian traits from the youtube creator Wong Fu Productions and I love them so much because they put a lot of effort into their content and their shorts are amazing. When I joined subtle Asian traits, it was overwhelming to see so much of relatable Asian culture that I don't get to relate with my friends because I am the only Asian person at my school. I want to learn and understand to be as expressive as you are Maia and discovering your music was the start of my journey.
I would like to thank you for the song feelings are fatal because that kind of helped me with my depressed, and it shows how it is hard to experience and feel love. Just thank you it helped with my suicide problem thank you.
