My dear sister, all that saying is very true. Though I’m a Ghanaian my husband and I travelled to Cape Coast by a commercial vehicle which runs from Kumasi to Cape Coast. Unfortunately the bus got stuck on the road somewhere between two small villages. We were there for about four hours before we were a new bus. What those people did was just unbelievable and many of us shared tears. Each house brought us food and water. They knew we might be hungry at that point so without none of us requesting for anything the they brought us food and water. When we got home my husband said Ghanaian hospitality is unmatchable. He said that because one could see though the people didn’t have much they brought to us the little that they had.

We Ghanaians have this feeling that Jamaicans aree our people hence the love for Jamaica and its flag everywhere in Ghana

Jamaica is another Ghanaian country. Their ancestors were deposited there from Ghana during the slave trade. The ship that had loaded the high priest captured in battles and sold into slavery was taken there to the Caribbean, they merchants didn’t wanted to mix them with the other blacks from the different African countries captured. Those priest were so powerful that they were making things difficult for the merchants so decided to take them there to cultivate. Lady of maroon was an Ashanti royal who fled the Ashanti kingdom with her family to cote d’voire and was captured along the way and sold with her family. She was a warrior, this happened during Otumfour Opoku wari I era soo after Otumfour Osei Tutu 1 demise.
Some people say Jamaica mean “ gyae me Akan nii no” others say it’s “gyae ma enka “ meaning forgive and forget.

Jamaica 🇯🇲 came out of Ghana 🇬🇭.
Queen Nanny is an Akan, an Asante warrior who fled lots of slaves into the mountain ⛰.
Maroons are also Akans, names like Accompong in Jamaica 🇯🇲 is Acheampong from Ghana 🇬🇭.
Takyi in Ghana and Taky/Taki in Jamaica.
    We call cola-nut "bise/bisi..
I Ghana, we name after the day you're born such names kwame, ama, kwadwo, adwoa etc.
I learnt it was the Akans who name Jamaica 🇯🇲....
In twi/AKAN language... Gyama yɛ aka.
Perhaps we've come to stay permanently that corrupted to become Jamaica 🇯🇲.

There is some security in Ghana but it has dwindled drastically.
In Ghana we have own dividing sentiments about religion, ethnicity, tribe, political, social status; rich and poor etc but in these differences bind us together. For example, a person express ill-feelings about a particular tribe but it will surprised the person's best friend or relative is married that tribe. Muslims have friends and relatives who are Christians.

Madam Jamaican is truly and real ancestors and Ghana. The lady of maroon on your currency is a woman from the Ashanti kingdom was a royal who was force the fled the kingdom with her family over chieftaincy issues during Otumfour Opoku Wari 1 era. Jamaicans are the true priest that were left on the Atlantic because their merchants were afraid of the power they were exhibiting and feared they were going to kill them. So all Jamaicans are Ghanaians from this very soil.

What a wonderful account. I saw a video this morning made by a lady claimed to come from Kenya. The content was so toxic. She laid false claims to the fact those coming from the diaspora, especially those coming from the Americas, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and other parts of the Caribbeans are ill treated at the entry port of Kotoka International Airport. She said the government has travelled to the US and the Caribbeans lying to the people to come over to Ghana yet the authorities have no proper structures put into place to make them safe.
You are giving an accounts from a sincere heart. That could be told from your demeanour and facial expressions that you a genuine person who does not intend to destroy others without any justifiable reasons.
