yea my family had to go to japan when i was rly young for half a yr cuz my dads work and my mom literally left her bag with, wallet, id, every single card we own on a bench for almost an entire day and it was still there with everything inside
@Xechnify It's actually quite nice to drink a coffee before your nap. The caffeine takes 30-45 minutes to get in your bloodstream. So quick nap and then get full power after the 30 minute nap.

Fun fact: Japanese workers commute by train has special ability where they can sleep exactly the length of their route. meaning they will wake up at their home station. And as you know it's common sight to see people in proper suits completely passed out in public not worrying if someone would steal something, shows how safe it is and at the same time how abnormally long the working hours are. yes, I'm one of them, although I'm not native but it shows it is possible to acquire that ability afterward.
I can do this in my Uber to work and my Uber bank home. I let the driver that I'm going to be sleeping but that I'll wake up before we get there and yeah I do. I feel like my body recognizes the turn of the exit ramp in front of my job and it recognizes the turn into my neighborhood
During the day, I can literally fall asleep standing, but for some reason once it hits time to go to bed I can't fall asleep to save my life. Darn ADHD! But hey, I'm king at taking naps 🤣😂

Maybe you need to get more sleep. Regularly sleeping less than 6-7 hours is literally dangerous. And sleeping only 4 hours leaves your brain running as if it was legally drunk.
Some people can't remember if or how many times they wake up during the night, and waking up at a fixed time means every hour later going to sleep is worse, plus you can't fully sleep off lost sleep after that day. There are also things a doctor can help you with to get more sleep (not sleep drugs) and if you are older, or defficient, a doctor may prescribe melatonin (melatonin is not an sleep drug, but an indicator to the sleep areas of the brain).
I once fell asleep on the commute back to my hostel on a Japanese train. I was apparently on the last train of the night and it ended at my station. The worker on the train was so kind and woke me up. I was completely safe.
Such an important topic - I struggle with slowing down as well and lately my body has to essentially shut down for me to even consider a nap. Always being busy and productive until you’re drained isn’t a great thing; recharging and being able to be present fully is the best thing for yourself and others - thank you Ryan!

I was with my dad for 8 days at a tiny hostel in Kita-Shinagawa and we would go to Shinagawa station everyday to take the trains EVERYWHERE (theres a coffee shop above the station where you can see all the people walking below you and they pour your coffee to the brim of the cup)
